This game has almost everything that i wanted included in THPS2, it has reverts, pivots, balancing lip tricks and you can change tricks while grinding or lip trick. The levels are also HUGE, decent goals, no timer like in classic. First ps1 thps with a story mode instead of classic mode. The building mode is identical to thps2 so if you play in premade parks then its like playing thps2 the way i always dreamed of. Someone should make a thps2 with the enabled tricks from thps4/psx.

@carlosmonte500 That's due to the texturing method the PS1's processor does, it ties the texture to the vertices and not the entire polygon unless you program it to (But it takes up more processing power), Final Fantasy 7,8,9 used the better polygon texture alignment but the games run at a smaller resolution than most PS1 games so they had the additional power to do so.

@raftake - Yell, well if you played the PS2 / Xbox / PC version of THPS4, you can see that the PS1 version is like a downgrade. Graphics are low, there are no people (instead there are bubbles that store career goals). Levels are a little bit smaller and some areas are not accessible in the PS1 like in College in the PS1, there is no parking lot building, no dried up river (well there is but not a deep one) and no cafeteria in the college.

i played thps 1,2 and 3 but i never know about the thps4 in PS1 , iv played the thps1 in dreamcast, then i buyed thps2 for PSX , and then thps3 for n64, i never figured out about thps4 in PS1 damn iv played that one in PS2 many time after XD

This actually looks pretty good for a PS1 game. The level looks a lot more like the Gamecube/PS2 versions than I thought it would.

And I've had this game on the Gamecube since it came out, and I still fail to see why people think that THPS3 is so much better.

They made it on PS1 to because PS1 was still on the market and still selling. There was a lot of people still playing PS1 at the time. I have the game for PS1, and I really enjoyed it, I never got to play the PS2 version tho. I played THPS 3 for PS2 and that game was way better than the PS1 version, so I am guessing it is the same with THPS 4.

U get the goals the same way, just but without an animated story line. And you can't get off the board in any version of tony hawk 4. The first game where you could get off the board was thug.
