  • I imagine that mankind will ultimately discover that the universe is teeming with live. Great video.

  • Let's go already! I want to be alive if this happens! Also, I definitely want to be alive if we ever find life! Complex life or not, even microorganisms would be just fine! Hopefully, we will study these worlds without delays/cancellations, like JIMO (Jupiter-Icy Moon Orbiter), and/or to possibly find life in the underwater oceans of Europa! When are we going to study Uranus and Neptune, and it's moons? It's been 20+ years, and only Voyager 2 has seen them! NO MORE WAR! MORE SPACE EXPLORATION!

  • Let's go there. Please don't wait any longer. I am 33 now, I would like to see it happen.

  • @Snowwie888: Hey, I'm 46. And I know what you mean! With Constellation now dead, and NASA's proposed budget being slightly increased, the mission, which previously had been on the back burner in favor of the Europa Jupiter System Mission, might just get the go ahead, and we can have both. And more. I'm happy!

  • @sbergman27

Are you sure NASA's budget will be increased? I heard some time ago Obama wished to cut down finances for NASA. Well, even if this is true, than it would be insane. It's so a shame the US government rather spends tens of billions of dollars on stupid wars instead of doing important research. What more important can there be to answer one of the BIG questions mankind has: "Is there life anywhere outside Earth?".

This moon "Titan" fascinates the hell out of me. Let's go there...!

  • @Snowwie888 : Not by a huge amount. But some. IIRC, by about $250 million for 2011. Ares-1 was such a hog for resources, that's going to free a *lot* of money. I just watched a great recent SETI Seminar Series video relating to all this. Do a Youtube search on "seti seminar daniel rasky" for a really good one hour talk by a NASA insider who didn't like Constellation.

  • Oh, and also, if you are in good enough spirits to handle a really downbeat, but excellent novel, Stephen Baxter wrote the novel "Titan" in which you get to know the world of Titan up close and personal. I highly recommend *anything* by Baxter.
