  • Quit stalking me via the youtube webpage plox!!1

  • @MrCurtisFilms Who's stalking who exactly?

  • After comparing the GPU-Z specs on both cards, it is most obvious the ATI 5770 will perform much better. Just because the memory is GDDR5 on the 5770, you already know it outperform the 9800.

  • boooobs

  • why are you using an external camera to record, dont you want to show off the quality as much as the speed and smoothness? like all videos with external cameras recording screens, this one is not high quality

  • @jmacclintock1015 Because i didn't want to record with fraps , it wouldve dropped the framerate.

The idea was not to do a benchmark of the program but of the GPU strengths. In anycase i am using a 6950 2Gb Overclocked now.

  • @neooneeightytwo can you feel the difference? i mean when you changed your crossfire setup to a single 6950

  • @gandrurass Yes a huge one. I have been using the 6950 for a good while now. I am very happy with it.

The 5770's were good though for an entry level card. :)

    Cheers.

  • you say its directx 11! BUT it isn't directx11 -.- it is 9.0c or 10.0

  • @TheNachtschrei123 Its DX11 with the ATI card. Durr.

  • @neooneeightytwo hmm then looks directx11 on my ati card better -.-

  • Finally i can stop supporting nvidia :) I really hate their drivers.. sometimes they release things that is unstable, rollback without any notice.. at least create an auto-updater or something

    Anyways.. ATI here i come!

  • and i can tell one think that if he have amd cpu phenom it will be much much fps whit 5770

  • well the 5770 compares to the 260 and 9800 is very old

  • @TheBigupz I get that alot.

  • @neooneeightytwo i dont understand that anyways u didnt compare the 9800 1 gb version

  • @TheBigupz The 9800s were the cards i owned at the time. I am now using 2 5770. As stated in the description this was merely to compare the differences in both gpus. I am really astonished on how many views i have received. Thanks to everyone. :)

  • @neooneeightytwo well gratz first of the music was awesome o think thts why u get lots of biews and u doin nice comparasions and can u sell me thoose 9800? and for how much u will sell the 9800 or give them away(to me) :D

  • @TheBigupz Hehe i wouldn't mind. The only problem is i have already sold them to a friend of mine. Sorry! :)

  • @neooneeightytwo nuuuuuu i know how hard to get thoose cards is now?

  • @TheBigupz I do. I can still have them if i wish i gave them to a friend. ;) Cheers.

  • isnt the Q6600 bottlenecking the HD5770?

  • @MAJORyurix Hey there , this has been asked a few times. And the answer is no , i have the Q66 oc'ed to 3.2Ghz and the cards are in sync with everything else. I don't have any bottlenecks at all. :)

  • Ati 5770 is better than Nvidia 9800GTX Nvidia are overpriced id never buy another one of there graphics cards again

  • useless comparing this video card (dx10) with 5770 (dx11) using Unigine Heaven in dx11 test mode

  • @ifera i thought the 5770 ran dx11 correct me if i'm worng

  • where do i get this benchmark?

  • dont you mean the FRAPS?!!!!!

    its like cam movie version

  • 9800 dont support DX11...

  • please sent me a PM WHAT IS THE SONG MAN LIKE IT PLSE TELL ME?????????

  • @krummstadt ...read the video description.

  • can i ask something good sir, how efficient (overall performance gain ratio with money spent) is 5770 Xfired ? i have one right now.. thankyou!

  • @Philivix Hey there!

Some games gain alot of performance while some others do not benefit from crossfire at all. Its always a play between having xfire enabled and using a single GPU for me. As i play many titles , its hard to give you a straight answer on this.

But if you do not have the money to spare , a single 5770 will carry you through next year for sure. :) Hope this helps.

  • To bad Nvidia's 450's are now the same price and blow 5770's away :S 450's are really 20 dollars cheaper per card.

  • @LordKahu I don't agree with this statement. The nvidia 400 series is more expensive and uses more juice than the ATI 5000 equivalent. I would take my 5770s over Nvidia 400 series any day.

  • @neooneeightytwo gtx 460 is very good for the price, but im still probably gonna get the xfx 5770

  • @LordKahu Actually the 450's and 5770 are pretty on par with each other in performance. 450 might beat it by couple fps in some games but, that doesn't mean it "blows" the 5770 away. By the way, the 5770 came out like last year and this 450 came out just recently.

  • @LordKahu GTS 450s are not as fast as HD5770s. GTS 450s are faster than HD5750s.

HD5770s can compete with GTX 460s in most benchmarks. And in crossfire HD5770s score higher than HD5850 and match HD5870 in most benchmarks.

  • Why!?!?!?2 9800GTXs will play any game anyway XD.

  • so the results u post in the picture its crossfire or single and the 5770 the fps drops a lot when its runnign dx11 and the results of the nvfidia gpus r in sli? I just wonder if i buy a 260 gtx or 5770 because 8 of 10 games r optimize for nvidia

  • @yosmer333 Didn't read the video description. That's alright.

    57xx-58xx series price differential.

Not an Nvidia fan , especially not the Fermi chipset. Again price and power consumption difference is greater. But thats just me.

Lets not start a post war about how the 9800 and the 5770 suck. I obviously know the 57xx is inferior to the 58xx series.

  • @neooneeightytwo 5770 much much much better card

  • @Froanite Thanks , already know that! ;)

I actually burnt these two cards to a crisp trying to watercool them. I just now received a 6950 2GB :)

  • @neooneeightytwo IF ONLY you did this with the 5770 vapor-x edition. 5770 vapor-x is waaay better than dual

9800gtx. Firstly, it has DX11. Secondly, my one is running at an overclock from 810mhz, all the way to 950 mhz. And the memory from 1200mhz, all the way to 1405 mhz. And guess what, with a standard cooling case, the vapor-x, on FULL LOAD, reaches a maximum of only 46C!!! OMG! Think of how far I (or anyone) can push that card. remember, 80C + is where you need to stop. Nvidia have shit OC

  • @7Sul7 Unfortunatly , i got these on the first week of release. The Vapor-X edition was ways off. They are now watercooled and perform just aswell. I am currently using an XFX 6950 2gb , which will also be watercooled.

  • @yosmer333 Yeah...but these cards are great for the money. 5850 is expensive.

  • @yosmer333 GTX 4XX series is junk get off youtube.

  • @kawaiifreak860 i said it as a second options, thats why i said 5850 first... learn to fvcking you fvcking black nigger piece of shit.

  • @kawaiifreak860 btw, gtx 460/465 are actually an improved version of fermi which actually has less heat and power comsuption.... and shut the fvck up and die, stupid fan boy.

  • @yosmer333 Actually it has the power saving/protector part remove.

    Faggot.

It consumes more power but a cock sucking faggot like you wouln't know shit now.

  • @kawaiifreak860 460's and 450 consume less power and have power saving and a protector, have you seen what happens to ATI/AMD CPU's without heatsinks? im pretty sure ATI/AMD makes there GPU's the same way.

  • @LordKahu Actually ATI was originally it's own company and it's only made one or two mistakes ever in it's lifetime it's whole life it is the one retailer who was able to make a GPU with proper DVD support and hardware decoding, (The ATI Rage 128.)

Also most of their cards (Such as the 8500 or 9700/9800) don't get very hot unlike nvidia cards.

  • @LordKahu Have you seen how old those CPU's actually were? Those were the Athlon x64 chips that were made I don't know, like six years ago? The newer chips are cooler than their Intel counterparts. 460's consume more power than than the 5770. 460 is 160W TDP and 5770 has a 108W TDP, and the 5850 still consumes less power than the 460 @ 151W TDP.

  • @TechExpertZ do you know the Definition of TDP? Its thermal design power your speaking of CPU's? your completely off subject, the chip-type sets are completely off. besides ATI cards don't have Shaderclocks and use an alternative Rendering Method, Its like comparing and Rifle To an Carbine, Both have there ups and downs. and the 460 is better then an 5850. Why? because the 5850 is 80 dollars more! its not that much faster. alright then lets use real Tiers, 470 vs 5850. same price. GF.

  • @yosmer333 so are you gonna give me 300 dollars so i can buy a 5850? because last time i checked, a free 5770 didnt suck...

  • @yosmer333

Lol, two 5770's beats 5870 in everything except crysis and vantage.

  • @yosmer333 I have a 5850, and i must indeed really say: don't go lower than that if you want to play crysis on full HD.

  • @jpl355 , me and my gaming buddies had this exact discussion. You might want to hold off a bit. The 5770 is a good choice , vut when the 6000 series hit the 58xx will probably have a price drop. And also the early 6k series will probably be some overclocked 5k's. Keep this in mind. Cheers ,

    -jc

  • @neooneeightytwo Very good point about the upcomming 6000 series. My 4650 has been handling everything I throw at it, with acceptable results on my athlon II 250, with 4gb ram on an EVO asus motherboard.

What do you suggest my next upgrade be comming under 200, keeping in mind the october sales season? I plan to upgrade then. In other words, what should I look out for when the sales come?

  • @Koss42 I'm not sure bud. I would have to take a look at your entire system spec. :)

As for when the deals swing around , keep an eye out on the daily deals on newegg and ncix.com have great weekly sales. Hope this helps. ;)

  • @neooneeightytwo newegg? Sales? As if. "ROFLCOPTER"

I try to look for a Geforce FX 5800 (original) on there just to tinker with I know it's not a "Goo" GPU, an finally i ran into it for.....299.99 BUCKS! WHAT THE FUCK? O_o

They pry remove it from their site but still....it;s the year 2010....x.x

  • @Koss42 more and more games are demanding cpu more than anything these days.. keep this in mind

  • @jpl355 see posted results under video information. ;)

  • @neooneeightytwo oh i see! thats whats up! what do you think about purchasing another 5770 now for xfire, with realization that the 6000 series will be out in a few months? should i hold my breathe a lil while longer and see how the 6000 come out to be? or is it safe to go xfire 5770. I'm also planning to play ffxiv, which is coming out soon, and also going to be quite taxing on the graphics dept.

  • Hmm, i don't know if this has been asked yet, the title says sli and xfire. are the benchmark running in sli or xfire? because the gpu id for the ati boards says crossfire disabled.

  • 9800GTX for me :0

  • Dude where can i download this program? i wanna benchmark my new system with a HD5870

  • @dragonrow3 here.

unigine dot com The latest version is even more beautiful to look at. :)

Thanks to everyone else for the comments , stayed tuned i am working on watercooling my 5770's. :) Cheers.

    -JC

  • not a fair battle, the 9800gtx is a dx10 card, the ati 5770 is a dx11 card and newer (newer = better = FASTER, stronger)...

even my old 4670 is faster than the 9800gtx...

and your results... eh dx10 card vs dx11 card, you know the 5770 will own the 9800gtx in dx10 mode, so bad comparison!

  • @crativ3 I think youre lost

  • @dirtylogs no, just saying that upgrading to 5770 is way faster that the 9800gtx, so buy it if u have the chance... but the 5830 is faster that the 5770 again so yeah...

so your lost, but if you want physx, then keep the 9800gtx, no buy a newer nvidia card...

  • @Kaeden728 1920x1200

  • because i wanted to get a fast card that can run good games i will have a amd phenom II x6

  • is 2 5770's in crossfire better than a 5830

  • @incredible202 It depends...5770 are 128-bit. That could bottleneck certain systems. I believe 5830 is 256-bit and is slightly faster. If i was in the market for a new card i would probably go for a 5850. But if money is tight 5830 would do just fine. Hope this helps. :) -JC

  • @neooneeightytwo 5830 is like 10fps higher in most games than 5770.

5850 is 30 or so fps. A big jump.

  • @incredible202 two 5770s = one 5870

so to answer the question, yes

  • @incredible202 much better

  • @incredible202 yes it is

  • @incredible202 2 5770 in CF i think are close or equal to 5850. or so i've seen in benchmarks.

  • benchmark it again with the new version >:D

  • so 9800gtx+ sli or ait xfire?

  • @vaedriah uh? What's your question?

  • @neooneeightytwo Which yields better performance? the 9800gtx+ in SLI or the ATI 5770 xfire?

  • @vaedriah The 5770 xfire for sure! The 9800GTX+ was my old gpus. And is why i made this video to compare.

The 9800GTX+ series is still a decent card , but you can get a whole lot better with newer GPU. :)

  • @neooneeightytwo the thing is I am low on cash and I have a 9800gtx+ and a tri sli capable motherboard so I want to get the biggest bang for my buck

  • @vaedriah I understand where you are coming from. I had the same issue. Instead of opting for a Radeon 5850 or 5870 that were totally out of my price range i opted for one 5770. They cost me about 200$ each. But i believe they are cheaper now a days. Its really a mid-range DirectX11 card. And two of them blaze through most any current titles on the market. So i would probably suggest you save for a 5770 or even spend a little more on a 5830 which has a 256-bit bus.

  • @vaedriah buy the 5770 if you want more power than the 9800gtx...

  • @crativ3 thing is I already own a 9800gtx+ since it came out, so I was thinking of sli'ing it or tri-sli'ing

  • @vaedriah well tri sli'ing that card is like one gtx 280...

  • You can't compare a DirectX10 video card with a DirectX11 video card, you're stupid.

  • @PATRIENIX lol ur stupid, of course you can

4870 > 5770 in terms of raw performance.

now, if you're not thinking with the future in mind, you might want to go for the 4870 (and crossfire it, of course) because LET'S FACE IT, NOT ALL GAMES HAVE FULL DX11 SUPPORT

  • @TheOneWingAngeI eeh, you cant compare the 4870 with the 5770, compare the 4870 with the 5870, and the 5770 with the 4770... and games supporting dx11 try supporting almost all of the power... lie tesselation and... well i dont think there is any more features than that... :/

the 5770 is a dumped down version of the 5870... and so on...

  • @crativ3 no dude the 5770 dominates the 4770 and is only 200 passmark points behind the 4870 lol

  • nice Fan controllers , screws , sleeving , LCDs

  • 5770 is dirt compared to 260s and above and 58xx series. Look at that 128bit bus width... Pathetic

  • what was that bar at the top of the screen?

  • @LANPARTYDUDE Winamp. (Music player)

  • @1235242 on ebay. Search for usb lcd.

  • where did you get that lcd screen in your pc where it sais which graphics card you have and how hot it is ?

  • ok you r right neooneei.... but u have to see the prices

i got now an HD 5770 for 110 € NEW!

    and 2 of the 9800GTX+ are over 250 € !!!!!!!!!

and there ar oly a few FPS difference

so i think the HD 5770 is a very good gaming card very very good

  • @weszdu 5770 is dx11 and 9800gtx+ is hight end card 5770 not :)

  • @Froanite 9800gtx+ was high end in 2008 lol and the 5770 is midrange in 2010.

  • @weszdu no is not,i had 2 Ati Video Cards and 4 nVidia so i'm very very sure that the nVidia cars are the best.Plus,if you can't afford the 9800gtx buy a 480gt

  • Hey i was wondering where did you get that HDR desktop wallpaper? It looks nice. Thanks

  • @mdlpin0y interfacelift , is where i get my wallpapers. ;)

  • the 9800gtx's don't run in dx11 so wouldn't that give you a false comparison since there isn't any tessellation strain on the gpu? notice the chest and tail of the dragon at 2:23 and compare it to a dx11 card. there's a huge difference in detail

  • the 9800 is old and it sucks

  • @mkri96 Major fail.

  • @mdlpin0y You my friend are a major fail

  • I just noticed what everyone has been msging me about. The core and memory were set extremely high when i did this benchmark. I am running the 5770s at stock. I do not suggest anyone try to set their card to these settings. i had a water cooling system on the one card when i took the screenshot. Hope this clarifies. Cheers! -JC

  • How the hell did you clock the 5770 so much ?! is it safe to raise the memory clock to 1500 MHz ? xD

  • not excactly a fair test dx11 vs dx10. oh well

  • don't you need smartdoctor to overclock your 5770's gpu and ram at 925 and 1500?

  • @w2x2x2 I just use ATI's tool "Overdrive" does the trick.

  • @neooneeightytwo How you do it ? I have the ASUS 5770 10.3 catalyst and as soon as i set the gpu clock at 950 and memory clock at 1350 i get a black screen in every game i try to play so i reduce the clocks at 900 and 1300 so how can you set the clocks so high without having any trouble at all?

  • @w2x2x2 I haven't really tweaked the clocks settings. The things you have to keep in mind is that a video card is only as good as its cooling. Take for example my XFX branded 5770's. I have the "version 1" cooler. Now i could overclock maybe 25mhz taking the video cards to 875Mhz core.

  • @w2x2x2 Without any custom cooling or even liquid cooling , you wouldn't get any real performance increase. Unless you have substancially good cooling , i would not recommend playing with any overclocking software. Because this may damage your card. ;)

    Hope this helps.

    -JC

  • @w2x2x2 My 5770 does 960/1340 Mhz with standard voltage.

All cards clocks differently. eg my ph2 955be processor wont go higher then 3,6 ghz... while most of the 955s does near 4ghz without a problem (with the cooler I have)

  • @albinfiskare I believe it's the psu too.

  • @w2x2x2

Hey i've noticed the GDDR memory gets Flippin' hot if you put it past 1225Mhz or so(least on mine) my thermometer was reading 148F and that controller is always 20F off the real temp, so it was more like 160F

I can run my core clock at 955Mhz no problem, super stable, no crashes. But if i put my memory past the 1230Mhz mark it'll start choppin it'll get some fraggles and it'll crash(scared the hell out of me)

Think these need a heatsink/heatspreader along the top, i used a 40mm fan

  • @w2x2x2, sounds like you need more voltage. You have CuCore Asus one? Yes? If so you should be add more voltage to it. Increase it slightly and try again repeat but don't increase by alot if it doesn't seem to work its the max for the card. That said you won't see a great improvement in overclocking one card.

  • will the 9800gx2 perform about the same as the 9800gtx+ or will the gts 250 in sli perform the same?

  • @iworkspc gts 250's are rebranded 9800's. If you are on the market to get a good SLI setup going for cheap , the 9800GTX+ series is around 130-160$ CAD , so probably a little cheaper in USD. Hope this helps. The 9800GX2 i have not had a chance to try or test , but from what friends say it performs fairly well.

  • 5770 IS WINS XFX CAN EVEN BEAT 5870

  • @biplav91 XFX now produces ATi cards too..

  • what's the song?

  • .......

    First 30 seconds is

Republica - Ready to go (US Version)

    And then

    ATB - Desperate Religion. ;)

  • Which is better single 5870 or two XFX 9800 ?

What about two 5850 or one GTX 295?

  • I have to admit that one 5850 is a smarter choice than two 5770 even though the crossfire option is a little faster.

  • How much is your whole system, including accessories?

I wanna buy a new system, mine's out dated. (*.*)

  • Kinda hard to put a price tag on it , i've accumulated and got color matched items some of the stuff was donated to me or gifted. But the whole thing i would think is around 7500-8000$ With all the external peripherals drives and so on..And for any of you thinking of maybe dropping by my home and stealing it , well good news , its insured. ;D

  • $7500 - 8000!

    HOLY!!!!!!!!!

    XD

  • @neooneeightytwo Ya maybe BOTH of your systems. But I highly doubt one of those systems were 7500-8000. If they were you would've gone for a 5970

  • Whatever floats your boat bud. I'm saying the price tag on all the stuff i own for this rig tops those numbers. I don't need to prove myself to someone on youtube. ;)

  • Ya, okay bud I'm sure you spent 7500 on an 5770 build.

  • For 7000 you could get two 5970 with i7 980x plus solid hard drives.

  • I don't understand why it matters so much to people how much i put into my computer.

  • Lol the 5770 scored 400 points less than the gtx260 so the 5770 beats the shit out of 9800gtx

  • I laughed when I read the video description. Since when are gamers a bunch mature men?

  • Well , some more than others i guess. ;)

My inbox , sometimes...Gets filled with the most stupid things. So rather then just flipping everyone off , i just tell it like it is.

Don't drop any pretencious BS on my videos , because , frankly i don't give half a crap. If you have a legitimate question , or need to find out something , then i will answer promptly. Otherwise as stated , don't bother. ;)

  • Please Answer.

How many FPS issued ati hd 5770 (+ full name) and how issued FPS nvidia 9800 sli. Please message me. Thx)

  • whats the gpu sensor called

  • Im not sure what your question is about...

  • 5770 owns the shit out of the 9800 GTX

  • My cards reach around 80-90c on extreme load , for gaming periods that stretch for 1 hour or more. But very rarely. In normal fps games they hover around the 55-60c mark.

  • Jesus, you're saying that both of your 5770 in crossfire get to 90C?!

    Jesus fucking christ!

Also, its notable that a 5870 will score ~41 fps were as two 5770 will only output ~38 on avg, I Think!

Thats why I going to buy a 5870 and x-fire it with my 5770, should be fine.

  • Coupling a 5870 to a 5770 i think (is not possible) or will severely bottleneck your 58xx.

But whatever you want to try man , go for it.

  • Well, if I can get slightly better performance out of it, then i will keep them in crossfire, if not, i'll simply sell the 5770. lol

  • A better comparison would be the GTX 260 216sp in SLI vs HD 5770 Crossfire X. The 9800GTX in SLI doesn't even come close to the performance of two HD 5770 in crossfire x. Anyway thanks for the vid.

  • Right , but i don't own the 260 GTX.

That is why this video is 9800GTX+ vs 5770...

  • .......

    First 30 seconds is

Republica - Ready to go (US Version)

    And then

    ATB - Desperate Religion. ;)

  • song name? artist?

  • So with a Phenom II x4 955, ati 5770, 4gb a data ram, and a 750watt corsair psu could i play newer games on high settings? I plan on buying another 5770 to run xfire.

  • Yes you will be able to run pretty much any game at high settings.

  • @neooneeightytwo

Thx I probably wouldnt be playing crysis or anything really demanding or for that matter that un optimized.

  • A single 5770 performs very , well. but two are simply amazing. Make sure to research which "version" you will purchase. As the new "V2" or "Vapor-X" edition seems to run alot cooler. But i find the new "egg" shaped cooler to be a little more ugly. But that is my personal choice. Hope this helps you. ;)

    -JC

  • Comment removed

  • what about with an AMD Athlon II X3 435 (2.9 ghz) tri-core? it seems to outdo all the phenoms in benchmarks. with an antec 500W psu, 4gb ram and club3d ati 5770 1gb 256bit, will i also be able to play almost any game at max settings?

  • The 5770 is 128-bit currently only.

But with that setup you should be okay.

I don't remember off the top of my head what the minimum power requirement is for one single GPU.

    Hope this helps.
