@KolainCorporation Effects are now available with the NS7 (NS7FX). Many people are going to an all-mp3 DJ system. Some DJ's never touch cd's anymore.

can the ns7 be used by vurtual dj pro 6 ?? and do i need a labtop or can i use my own desktop (that has vurtual dj pro 6 on it just trying to get started into mixing need a little help.....oh yea is the ns7 like the hercules dj controller ( im sure its better ) im just asking if its the same concept thanks for your help.....peace

Why no? That says DJ's, whoes never tried it because they didn't have a chance yet. DJing isn't about effect and mixing two song.. DJing is about what you play! If you are on some disco and you make perfect mix from disco to rock, what you think is gonna hapen?

Effects are for you. It's on you how you enjoy the mixing. And if some DJ lenjoyng the mixing with Sync, why not? Beacause you can't?

I understand the unit's mic and AUX inputs are not functional if the laptop has a problem during a set or if ITCH crashes? That makes this a tough sell for a professional DJ, can anybody offer any insight?

Just tested the NS7 at the Musik dj messe in frankfurt three days ago... The best midi controller in my opinion out there. Fader is spot on, software responsiveness is super! You can flat out skratch on this unit also! This is the real deal for any dj who wants to go or stay on the midi djing side of things! I highly recommend it! SONAR (2005 DMC DJ World finalist!)

@ DJ Trav My man, steer clear of the Battle Pak. I had that system and it 's horrible. Plastic decks, horrible mixer and it was just plain cheap. I spent more money in the end. I would suggest this outfit if you have the money, this is where djing is going. Might as well be up to date.
