  • "They're just waitin' to die"

    :'D

  • And obviously I'm in a playlist, since this video is about 4 months old.

  • so much agism

  • Also, I feel like society has moved on from giving "elders" all our respect no matter what- because they're not the all wise beings we used to think of them as. We have the internet now and don't need to ask grandpa about war stories.

  • Oh man. Old People are the worst. It takes me 10 minutes for me to ring them up at work cause they move sooo slow and ask tons of questions. ._. [I work at a pizza place]

But I'm always nice to them cause I read a theory once that the older you get your perception of time changes. Like they think they are going at the same pace as everyone else... but NO.

  • Watching this was my reward for doing math for the past 3 uninterrupted hours. It was well worth it.

  • I love listening to my grandad's stories, they're from the war and all the places that he has travelled to (which is literally everywhere). I just feel bad for the generations to come because at least the war stories are interesting, unlike what our generation is going to tell our grandchildren.

  • you guys should go to Estonia. old people are friggin awesome there, THEY KNOW HOW TO USE COMPUTERS! (it shocked me too)

  • Regarding old people and racism: My grandfather used to manage a grocery store in the 60's and 70's in bumfuck-ville Iowa. He hired a black guy to work there bagging groceries, and caused quite the stir. To this day, he's proud to tell everyone (including random strangers) the epic tale, "How I Hired a Colored Person". Yes, he uses those words. Old people be crazy...

  • hum.... I dont really have a problem with old people. I do have a problem with raisins because they're basically old wrinkled up grapes and every time I try to eat one I feel like I'm eating an old person.

  • it been frustrating me the last couple of video the i can't find the words (as of yet) to describe your personality...

  • You know, my grandma's pretty awesome. She's still pretty active, she runs a business, and she travels frequently. However, she can not work a computer to save her life. Especially Facebook. I swear, every time my grandma uses Facebook, a baby seal is impaled with a horribly dull spoon. She just cannot grasp the concept that she doesn't need to "sign" the bottom of her messages. The name is attched to the message, EVERYONE KNOWS WHO'S SAYING IT! Oh well...

    Sincerely, GloDel

  • A lot of generalizations in this video. I'm a nurse I work in a nursing home; I like old people some of them are really amazing when you give them a chance :)

  • @analyssia7 Generalizations are all we do. That's the point of the show.

  • @ChevyDoucheBag I understand I'm a fan of the show, guess this one just hit a chord with me lol :)

  • @analyssia7 It's prone to happen. We're equal opportunity offenders here

  • My granny has been living in my room since february, the tv is constantly set to the one channel and shes pig stubborn. Dont even get me started about old people!

  • My grandparents aren't even 70 yet and they're still the best people I know. As Indian immigrants, they are really progressive. The more time you spend with younger generations, the more tolerant you become.

  • In my opinion, there's a sort of social contract old people and everyone else: old people can say or do pretty much whatever they want, and everyone else just accepts that those old people are probably senile. I don't even get upset when old people are complete jerks or bigots, because I figure they're probably out of their mind. And whether or not they are, they aren't going to be around to bother me much longer anyway.

  • I'm so glad PhillyD picked up on your movie club video responses because otherwise I doubt I would have ever come across you guys. You're hilarious and I love your videos, very witty (: Keep 'em coming <3

  • My grandmother friended me on facebook and then messaged me about my 'special guy', and told a story about her 'special guy' when she was my age. she wants to meet him now. yay.

  • Bitch i dont wanna hear this, I live in florida. :/

  • my grandpa is a typical finnish man, a bit rasist, never says anything unless asked and complains all the time... p.s. today is my birthday!

  • My grandma is 86 (grandpa is 92) and she still sled rides and hikes... But then again, her and my grandpa also entered roller skating competitions (dancing on skates) up until five years ago at a pro level, starting when they were in their seventies...

  • Hating on old people, sad day.

  • We got my grandma a laptop for Christmas and she. Won't. Stop. SKYPING ME! aghh!

  • My grandpa has literally THOUSANDS of emails on his computer, a lot of them spam or random videos his friends send him. (I'm a girl, btw).

When I first got my license, he told me to come over and watch this video on his computer. Which he does a lot, but whatever. Turns out the video he wanted to show me was called "Females Can't Drive" and it was a compilation of women crashing cars. Then he just pats my arm and says "I'm sure not all girls drive like that." Thanks.

  • My grandpa is bad ass. He's turning 80 this year and for Christmas he partied in Vegas, he's on Facebook and actually can use a computer. I love him.

  • My grandfather has a computer...

though he always ends up arguing with it in some way

  • Idk...my grandpa was a bamf. We had to take his license away when he was 90 because he was such a lead foot :)

  • It's not that old people don't care, it's that they can't see...

  • My grandma has a laptop and an internet connection! Yay for her, being all modern!

Oh no wait, she keeps sending me chain mail!? Ugh...

  • Oh man, my mom is 52 now, and she chopped off her hair about a year ago. She looks okay but, I never understood why?! I hope I never do that..

  • I LOVE that about old people. I could spend ages listening to them talk about their experiences and what they learned from them! Mind you, you do have to take it all in perspective because the times have changed... but as much as the elderly can live vicariously through us, we can do the same through them. ^_^

Also, don't you think it'll be liberating to realize you don't have to give a shit what people think anymore? I probably won't be that kind of old person... but I bet it'd feel awesome.

  • I do admit, I loved the fact that even after two heart attacks, my Nannie STILL did her hair up in curlers every single day so that she could have the gorgeous curly hair that she loved until the day she died. ♥
