  • It's really all got to do with traction let some air out ur tire danger ranger

  • Is that a 4banger? I feel my 4.0 would fair bettee

  • that was a nice jeep and ranger either way

  • Comment removed

  • rangers suck...well, i take that back. ford sucks in general

  • @503ethan503 so wheres your badass (probably made up) truck? You have no uploads and it is starting to become a trend, youtube guys that talk shit with a big zero on there uploads

  • so this video was to prove what ,,that you can take a set of horribly mis-matched vehicles and haveone out pull the other? stupid. ,midsize vs mini, for off road vs, we can t tell if its in 4 by or not. etc,,no most rangers are not 4.0,,most are 3.0,,look up overall sales,,by a long shot 3.0...

  • I call foul,,can t see ranger front wheels,,plus make em weigh the same

  • i want the axles from that cherokee!

  • the cherokee has a legendary straight 6 in it, you get the highest amount of torque at low rmp, these can beat a lot of full size picks because of that

  • @06TurboVtec RMP FTW! lol.... fail

  • @ikaikaboy88 oh no a typo!

  • @06TurboVtec hahaha actually the reason most of the time there is a "winner" is because its got traction but im pretty sure a smart guy like yourself already knew that. Vehicle with Traction in a tug of war wins thats the key to a tug of war

  • @ikaikaboy88 well duh, but the straight 6 in the cherokee is notorious for its low end torque which makes a huge difference. but all tug of wars are very driver biased anyway...

  • @06TurboVtec well im just saying facts motor has nothing to do with "winners" of tug o wars man its about traction you can have the best low end torque in the world and still get pulled it all has to do with your setup and tires you can put street tires on that jeep and get pulled by an old b2200 4x4 with all terrains does that have to do with the mazdas badass 2.2 liter motor?(sarcasm is intended)

  • @ikaikaboy88 yes, but you are still not getting the point. The low end torque is what helps you get that pulling power and traction before your opponent. but tug of wars are stupid, they prove nothing.

  • @06TurboVtec my point exactly

  • Is that a 6 or 7 foot bed?

  • @nerad1994 wondering the same thing man

  • look up yamahawr200. now that is a 2wheel drive that rocks.

  • what is with that spare tire? looks goofy.

  • im sure there smart enough to put both in 4x4. but then again. he is drivin a ford.

  • Yea that jeep is a v8

  • @Xxdoughboy420xX NO. Jeep Cherokee XJ's (like this one) use Inline 6-Cylinder engines. Some newer Grand Cherokee's have V8's. Unless this guy did an engine swap (very unlikely) then this is a Straight 6, ftw.

  • haha i thought the vid was buffering and the jeeps spare tire was on the truck lol

  • @funkyfishing0725 yeah.... whats up with that?

  • Jeep pulls twice as hard !

  • owned

  • ford fucks with all of their excuses. ranger is junk, anything under an f350 is junk. a cherokee weighs just over 3000 pounds. a ranger weighs junk. and most and i mean most cherokees have 3.55;1 gears. a ford 8.8 is a cheap jeep upgrade. and they most often have 4.10;1 gears. its not that the ranger has no weight or gears, it just doesnt have balls. and im a ford truck guy. rangers are for broke asses that cant afford a real truck. those little jeeps rule the mid size category. cry babies.

  • @IAMNOS4A2

I have a 1997 4.0L Ranger 2wd and I outpull my friends 2000 Cherokee I6 all the time. The Ranger 4.0L makes very close to its peak torque accross a broad (1000-3600) RPM range. If you are easy on the pedal and work your stall speed right you can plant any Ranger at 1000rpm and then pull from there up to about 4000rpm with ease. The Ranger makes 200lb-ft at 1000rpm while the Jeep makes around 140lb-ft at 1000rpm and takes it well over 1700rpm to make 200lb-ft.

  • @IAMNOS4A2 Piss ant

  • yeah ive done this many times if that ranger isnt in 4x4 it has no chance weight or no weight when it come to haveing 4x4 vs a 4x2 theres no chance also air pressure in the tires affect it alot to js so show us the front tires on the ranger

  • the ranger has no weight so tht give the cherokee an unfare advantage...

  • lol you would steal someones FX4 decal and put it on yours

  • right if that was me in that ranger that jeep would have lost

  • Barbie called, she wants her jeep back!!

  • those Jeep cherokees do pack a punch of power, I have and XJ and a JK and my XJ will out run my JK anyday 5.0 lt engine , 6 in line .. torque lots of ;)

I prefer my JK anyways but I will keep for a long time my jeep cherokee , ¨the old faithful¨

  • i like how they had to get a regular cab to pull against a full size cherokee. That cherokee weighs more and the rear end of a ranger is very light. very little weight on the rear tires

  • @SuperRanger4x4 youre an idiot

  • @IAMNOS4A2 no you're an idiot with a jeep shoved up his ass. Rangers are light, very light. The ranger is not for broke people who can't afford a "real truck". my ranger weighs 5080lbs. Rangers were originally designed for work not for off road or pulling like other trucks. jeeps are made for off road and have lower gears and there weight is more balanced than a light pickup truck. Weigh that ranger down and go again this time with the ranger in 4 wheel drive like the cherokee!

  • @SuperRanger4x4 a light truck that doesnt pull? designed for work? most places i know need a truck that can work and pull a trailer. stepin all over yaself there. you dont think the ford was in 4x4? why pull at all then. jeez. iamsnos4a2 is pretty much spot on.

  • @MrMacrun look at you tryin to start something. Come to a video and scroll down the messages just to start crap ranger is light duty meaning less than 5000 lbs and most dont pull that unless they have the 4.0L, which by the way, is what most of the work trucks have and they are mostly in extended cabs which are heavier.

  • How about showing the front tires of the ranger in the video? That way we can see that its actually in 4 wheel drive like the Cherokee.

  • I agree. There's no weight on the Ranger, plus a Jeep typically has a lower gear ratio. Weigh the Ranger down some and try it again :P

  • the jeep is probably locked, the rangers got no weight in the bed of course it wont have good traction

  • the jeep has most likely a dana 44 in the rear and front i may be wrong but the rangers gear ratio caint keep up with the jeep.

  • @62ermaFF i think your right

  • i thank ur back axle is fucked up looks like its to far tords the frount

  • @mmmmeeee122 Shackles lifts cause that, safe to aasume he has one.

  • 4.10s and 4WL in the Ranger and the Jeep will need his E-brake.

  • one major thing that could go either way is the gearing, if the jeep has lower gearing then he has much better chance same if the ranger has lower gearing. Gearing and tire size along with weight are major factors in a pulling contest that a lot of people dont realize.

  • @junepoiuyt They are actually both around 3,200 lbs. The Jeep has better traction, because it has a better 4WD system.

  • @TaylorBass true

  • The Rangers holding his brakes while the Jeep pulls?

  • Gee where are the Ford fanboys? Nuthin to say huh? No smartass remarks now. Now let's get a F-150 and a 2012 Power wagon ha!

  • thats whats up, glad to know that my comanche will do about the same thing

  • YEAH!!!!!!

  • heck yea man!!!
