I dont find it funny because its dubbed, and thats just annoying. To be honest i dont like when they dub something into my own native language either, but that may be hard to understand for 99 % of the american people, because they havn't heard any other language except for their own.

I think not learning another language is bad for us as Americans; if people from other countries learn English why not us learning something else? I'm trying to learn German on my own and listening to American programs in German is helping me a little bit. Besides a person who knows more than one language has a better chance at a better job than one who doesn’t.

why are peolpe always so arrogant and can not accept, that some people like to see the shows in their own language? u don't want to see foreign tv shows with subtitles, if you don't speak the language, do you? i don't want to see subtitles either. at least i speak english too and if i want i can watch the original version as well. But i like it, that there is a version in my own language too. What is peoples problem with that? Deal with it and leave us alone.

I speak both languages, i can make the comparison and i say the german dubbing is very good. of course it is not the original voice. but in another language you have another sounding of the words even if they mean the same. if you would take the english voice speaking german he would sound like a retard to us. in english it fits, in german u gotta change the sound and the voice, so the character stays the same. @vwmachado ---> comparing english and german, he sounds different, but his character and personality is the same to me. the german voice actors are making a brilliant job to match the basic personality but transforming it into the sound of german. but one can only judge about this, if he speaks both languages. i would never judge about french dubbing a german movie for example, because i dont speak french and so i can never know, how personality and french sound work together.

annoyed is a more correct term i think, since i dont see the point in a debate like that. you dont _have_ to watch it in german, not even in germany. most channels provide you with the original aswell. and, for myself, subtitles are a no-go, since they distract you from the viewing pleasure.

@ijustwannaseemovies Why I'm concerned is because it seems, to me, that it must be very unfulfilling to watch something dubbed for several reasons. Voice actors for dubbing usually sucks ass and will destroy the feeling of the movie, and is a punch in the face of the original actor. The motion of the mouth does not add up to the dubbed voice's sound and will obliterate the viewing pleasure even further. Watching multilingual shows and films in their original language is much better. Try it! Peez

futurama for example, one of my favorite shows. the dubbing is terrible, that's why i prefer the original.

mwc on the other hand kicks ass with the excellent dubbing, EVEN if some jokes went down the river, they put a lot of new ones in there.

anyway... we _want_ our stuff dubbed. it's as simple as that. if you like it or not, that's no concern of mine ;)
