It's clear to see that the truck driver was cut off by the idiot in the pick up truck. Not only that there were two or three cars next to him so there was no way in hell he could move over. Let this be a lesson, if you see a cop on the side of the road and there is a truck with his blinker on, GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY! It happens all the time because some fucking moron doesn't want to be behind a truck for 30 seconds.

I am all for law and orderly society however, the act of pulling people over on the side of the road has no basis in law, therefore, illegal. It is also dangerous. Thats why we now get tickets for not moving over when someone else is pulled over.

FACT: these situations are caused by the cop pulling over the citizen, which as I said, is ILLEGAL. The maxims of law that sustantiate this are long forgotten but still VALID.

FACT: this was caused by a truck not being where it should have been; on the OTHER side of the white line. It might've been forced over (see the traffic on its right after the collision)... but no way is the cop at fault in any way. Though I drive a truck, i cannot see now either the cop or the car that got hit were in the wrong here.

You could probably say the car that got pulled over was in the wrong though, it isnt illegal, but where it stopped is way to close to the traffic,and if they had gone over to the far side like the cop they wouldnt have been hit as bad

the car was on the right side of the line.. it might have been close, but it was 'safe'. at the time of collision, the truck was a couple of feet onto the shoulder, for whatever reason. i know that many car drivers take delight in forcing a cop to hang their ass out in traffic when issuing citations.. but this wasn't the fault of the car driver.

The car was far too close to that traffic. Teachnically he was in a safe zone (slightly over the white line), but still far too close to be actually safe. Something in this video is out of place. The cop knew to pull that far over, yet the other car didn't. The guy in the car was probably drunk. Also, that white line isn't for safety, a shoulder is for when you break down and need a place to leave your vehicle instead of in the lane. So I can't really say it'd be the trucker's fault. Who knows.

The truck is on the shoulder at the point of impact. Perhaps he was going too fast, looking in his mirror and not looking ahead. Or, he got cut off. Either way he was not looking ahead.
