Here's how talented Radiohead are....

They're so talented that they write a song this cool, make it sound this good, but not only doesn't it ever reach their standard to be on an album, it doesn't EVEN reach their standard to record it!

Meanwhile, 90% of bands- if they dreamt up a song this badass- would make it their lead single.

Radiohead are just on a whole other level. The fact they don't even release material this good makes me question MYSELF when I dislike something they DO release.

As a self-acclaimed Radiohead fan for 4 years, this is the first time I figured out the existence of this song. What a shame. I have been to their live and know all their B-sides whatever, but just missed out this touching song.But it still moved me as all the other songs did.

This was meant to be featured on the old Avengers soundtrack, but in the end Radiohead thought it was too incomplete a song...

The song wouldn't really fit in with Radioheads current sound, so there's not much chan ce on it resurfacing on a new ablum. But it would be cool if Radiohead could record the song properly, and then donate it for a film soundtrack or something....

If there was another warchild album or something perhaps? I agree it would be hard to see it fitting in with new RH, but then I'd say IR was a big progression from HTTT, itself from Amnesiac so you never know.

Why was this dropped from the soundtrack? I know they had problems recording it, did they just pull out? They did a couple of songs for other soundtracks around the same time - namely Romeo + Juliet.

I don't think this song will ever be released on any of their new records coz it is too old-fashioned, taking into account their new style. They tried to include it into OKC but failed and now it is too late. So it will always be no more than lost treasure. Such a shame

are you guys thick? it was called Man-o-war throughout 1995, 1996, Thom re-titled it Big Boots when they started playing it again on the OK Computer tour (1997). I have a setlist from the Vidia Club, Italy gig 2 nights later - it says Man-o-war in plain English! go and look at a gigography on the greenplastic website. it's not hard.
