Please give justice to the dance...Wag nyo sanang ibahin....yan ang parating sinasabi ng mga katutubo.....it's seems choreographers explored their creativity too much that they lost the authenticity of the dance.....

@kingpicker22, there is misappropriation and then there is reinterpretation. Cultural themes can be reinvented so that one does not always remain in the past. Why must the choreographers copy old moves rather than be inspired by them to create new ones?

Does anyone know where i can get the malong and under suit from? that is simular to what the girls are wearing?

@pricofilipinaamerica The malong is the more important component of the costume..I think they are original batik from Mindanao.. The under costume can be reproduced using satin or taffeta and some beads and trims. If you know someone from Manila they can try looking for it in Quiapo. When I left the Philippines there was already a Muslim community and a Mosque there, and a market too, selling products from Mindanao. These are the people who fled Minadanao..Good Luck
