Also Florida is more than Disney and beaches. Check out a spring, or some of the primitive trails in central Florida area.
Depends on what you are looking for. Fishing? Stick to the barrier islands of the Tampa Bay area starting with Anna Maria Island south to Venice, beautiful blue-green water full of marine life and fish. The Beaches are world reknown in that same area. In addition the northwest Fl beaches from Mexico Beach all the way to Destin are pure white, sugar sand. Any of these areas have a mix of public and private beaches and plenty of accomodations. PM me if you would like more.
That sadly is my experience. The last really safe time to travel in the Caribbean was the 1960's. At that time, the native populations still respected and somewhat feared white man's justice as in British governed Bahamas. There are parts of Florida that rival the Caribbean for the look and feel of island life, especially the geography of coastline and sea. No mountains but just go a few hours north to the Smokies.

But any given favela in Brazil makes Juarez look like a YMCA spa. Research it, I've been to both and the numbers don't lie whatsoever. Jaurez's violent death count in the last 10 years is less than half.

Isn't it obvious that we are located between North and South America where transshipment of drugs and human trafficking is on a rise? That's why we must patrol our borders before we deal with crime inland. Trinidad is doing its part by adding patrol vessels (big and small) to its coast guard fleet and has a 360 degree radar system monitoring its coastlines. But what would the other Caribbean Islands do to protect their borders?

Toronto has population of 2.5 million but they only have around 70 - 90 murders per year.
These statistics are proof that violent crime in Jamaica is completely out of control and the rate of of violent crime in Jamaica is alot worse than in most other countries. Im pretty sure only Columbia has a worse murder rate than Jamaica.

Jamaicas crime rates are skewed because they lump Kingston in there with the stats. The one thing that I could not stand in Jamaica during my many, many visits were big 4 star resorts like Sandals and Beaches in Negril. They tell people it is dangerous to go venturing out alone. They use this phony scare tactic so people take their mini-bus tours of the area and they would never go off the beaten path. Youll never catch me staying at these compounds!

Trenchtown Jamaica is alot like Jaurez, actually.
But any given favela in Brazil makes Juarez look like a YMCA spa. Research it, I've been to both and the numbers don't lie whatsoever. Jaurez's violent death count in the last 10 years is less than half.

Isn't it obvious that we are located between North and South America where transshipment of drugs and human trafficking is on a rise? That's why we must patrol our borders before we deal with crime inland. True, but you have to put things into perspective.
Jamaica has a population of 2.5 million and 1300 or so murders per year.
Toronto has population of 2.5 million but they only have around 70 - 90 murders per year.
These statistics are proof that violent crime in Jamaica is completely out of control and the rate of of violent crime in Jamaica is alot worse than in most other countries. Im pretty sure only Columbia has a worse murder rate than Jamaica.

But in 2009 Jamaica became the murder capital again with 1660 murders. Only last Friday 8 people were brutally massacred in the St Catherine district of Jamaica.

Jamaicas crime rates are skewed because they lump Kingston in there with the stats. The one thing that I could not stand in Jamaica during my many, many visits were big 4 star resorts like Sandals and Beaches in Negril. They tell people it is dangerous to go venturing out alone. They use this phony scare tactic so people take their mini-bus tours of the area and they would never go off the beaten path. Youll never catch me staying at these compounds!

I lived in JA for 3 years as a white, and i feel pain fi see wa go on, but why are producing our white countries 95% of the weapons which kill all the people, stop producing weapons for personal use!!!! How much people get killed in the streets of havanna or elsewhere in cuba??

i went to jamaica, i am a white english guy....they hate us, iv never been so scared in my life and iv been to places like colombia venezuela etc...jamaica is terrible!

When you go/Come to Jamaica the is the Crime is in Certain Parts of Kingston the ghettos and some parts of Clarendon and The Ghettos of Montego Bay 95% of Jamaican Violent Crime takes place in these places here. Negril for example is Crime Free the Most Part,

Trinidad's population is actually 1.4 mill so its even a lil less than the 42/100,000 and webbum Jamaica is similar to Trinidad in that the crimes are concentrated in certain areas,and if you keep away you would be fine. .

just do the math,our population is 1.3 mill and we had 550 murders last year,thats a rate of about 42/100 so Jamaica is still 7 ahead per/100,no offence meant,just the facts and out of those murders less than 10 have been as a result of robbery etc,the vast majority have been gang related,drug related and domestic( Indian killing they wife and children and drinking poison after),I hate when ppl just babble without facts. .a
