Also, typing in "ASMR triggers" is a good way to come across that section of YouTube. I haven't had to get a haircut since I started buzzing and shaving my head in college, but I remember it usually being relaxing when I did go to the barber and sat in the chair. Although a few of the barbers were rougher than others, so it all depended.

@giggidygoo17 not sure if anyone else has given an answer you are satisfied with. from what i know it is the wavelengths of the sounds. certain wavelengths, like alpha, theta and beta waves. idr which ones are the good ones, but they put our brain into a meditative state making it easier to sleep... i also like listening to whispers, but they are harder to fall asleep to because i end up following the conversation too much. so i look for whispers in other languages so i cant understand them.

@giggidygoo17 I'm not sure why either man. I have a DVR and will often pause and replay scenes over and over that have these type of sounds in them. I think it is due to the fact that these sounds are so pure with no kind of alteration of obnoxious background music. It's elegance is in it's simplicity.
