There are very few cultures around the world who have not been put off their land and treated unfairly. Its happened in my country many times over, my ancestors had their houses burned, their land taken and were starved to death by an invader but I am not so bitter about it as you. I welcome a stranger and give and teach them whatever might be useful even if they are the children of the ones who stole my land and starved my people. Two wrongs never made a right. Janis - as I've said elsewhere, I'm white, not Native - specifically, a Scottish Gael. Much of my extended family is in Canada directly because of the Clearances. My user-name "Hwunitum" is the local Hun'q'umi'num' Coast Salish word for "white person," my odd sense of humour was tickled by taking it for my user-name.
