nice contribution neurosoup, may i suggest going beyond your limits to the unknown? "it is not dying, it is being"- beatles. keep up the good work and allthebest.
It's interesting that the examples you give of a bad experience (death, consciousness explosion, time stoppage, loss of ego) in a slightly different light can be looked at as true spiritual experiences... in some spiritual circles even the same terminology is used. Maybe in some sense it's more a matter of being 'ready' for the experience rather than characterizing it as positive or negative. My memory of a bad trip is when everyone at the party was conspiring to kill me... oops maybe they were!
Its hard for me to imagine so many people having bad trips. For me its overwhelming love that seems to be powerful enough for me to change the world. Of course I learned my lesson about unrestrained emotion while tripping. But maybe these folks got some demons.
dude I've only tripped once (on lsd) and it was a bad trip (although it did have a good side to it as well). this was because I was unprepared, uninformed, the people around me were the same way, and I didn't understand the weight of what was going to happen. but I know almost for a fact when I trip again it'll be a good one cause I now what to expect. the point I'm making is that I think there would be less bad trips out there if more people would prepare themselves and do itfor therightreasons
yes , with meditation. There is more then one meditation, for example a christian meditation about exoteric matters are not the same as what I express with meditation. What I mean is basically breathrelated meditation and "energywork" / control over bodyheat and the stimuli of fine muscles and veins.
depends on how hard and what you're tripping on but generally yes, you are aware of everything around you and yourself (i've done acid, mushrooms, and MDMA)...however it is how your mind thinks about the world around you and the way you perceive incoming energy that makes you trip...realize that everything is energy and vibrations (light, sound, solids, liquids, etc...)...you awareness of energy is heightened
tripping is a necessity for anyone who seeks a higher truth
i like triping and i think bad trips are part of the all experience of the psicodelic path i also think it's ok you trying to guide people to lose they fears about losing they selfs if you wish during this spiritual travels
interesting vids i have a short attention span so at first it was really difficult to get going "it's the minds nature to wonder"(somebody said that) so i first learned to quiet my mind (a working process)but it seems to help a lot and allow for a more focused retrospect
I love Neurosoup and this wonderful woman but the terrible "dubbing" reminds me of really badly dubbed Japanese Godzilla films and makes me distracted and laugh - so I listen instead of watch her.
I bet that unshaven hippy smells like patchouli and broccoli farts... and her assumptions about "soma" are incorrect. But hey lady, thanks for the videos of you talking about shoving drugs up your ass, I guess.
Maybe if she took her top off I could stand more than two minutes of this shit.
I'm really interested in listening to why you feel this way. I know there is controversy around "The Neuorsoup Girl" - but I wish people would be more direct and just state their reasons why they want to unsubscribe, dislike her, etc. I don't know what to think, but I do think she has a lot of wisdom to offer here.
Really good point. I'd like to see this point in loud neon wherever people think "drugs are cool" no matter what. I wish drugs were, but your point is so accuarte!
i am a recovering DXM Addict/Alchoholic. i used to do dxm, drink, smoke weed, do ecstacy all at the same time everyday. then because of my mentall illness schizzoaffective disorder, my body can not even handle a little marijuana anymore or i will panic, i only drink on recreation nowadays, the mentall illness killed my addiction to drugs.
thats where your wrong. Any person can be addicted to any drug, sure computer duster isn't classified as addictive, but there is an intervention on a chick who does it constantly every day. you can almost be addicted to anything man.
yes you can get addicted to anything that makes you "feel good" computers, work, chocolate, drugs, inhalants... alcohol... dosent matter what it is, you can get addicted to it. you just have to be careful, and if you feel yourself being drawn too far in, and it starts affecting your personal life, you have to stop it.
i can't wait to try this out. yeah, i have a specific album that i was listening to when things started getting 'anxious'.. and i haven't listened to it since!
i will never take drugs but i am really interested in learning how to meditate and astral travel and things like this. i could also listen to her all day whatever she is talking about
if you won't ever take drugs you aren't really interested in learning how to astral travel. that's like saying i'm really interested in driving but won't touch a steering wheel...
i wish my soul was as pure as yours

I was actually wondering if this form of meditation could be effective in reconciling with other negative experiences in life, other than with drugs?

So while your tripping ..can you do normal things like go to the shop ..or speak to your girlfriend on the phone?
whats this world like .. do you see your own body in these trips? can hear your voice?
