  • That's a CORT ?????....... every Cort I've ever played was a complete dog of a thing to play, the strings were like suspention Bridge cables..... and I've got strong Hands. You must have their top model, it sure is nothing like any Cort I've heard...... great playing.

  • Nice tone for a Cort guitar and great playing...nice job!!!!

  • I picked some of this up from a record of Ralph's years ago but only got a few bars in. I'd never have got to play the whole thing without this video. I haven't the patience to learn from tab or a tutorial so this is a godsend. Thanks mate, you're a star.

  • wow well played man i like it.

  • hey i really like your stuff, im into country blues but just moving into playin a big of ragtime. great upload

  • You are so right - I love this tune.

A bit tricky, but def. plausible with a bit of practice ( well, the part I play at least LOL ).

I think its real title is "Buddy Bolden rag", but it's often named as "Blind Blakes Rag", since Ralph and others have used that title.

  • Excellent - great job ;-)

Your guitar sounds really good ? Which

brand and model is it ?

Would you happen to have a tablature of this one by any chance ? :-)

( I can play some of this, but would love to fill in the gaps, you see LOL )

  • Hi - yeah, this one and many more of Ralphs tabs are available from his book.."Songs for six strings" which came with a 'midi' CD which helps. I got it from his web site shop.

The guitar is a CORT Earth 202 Model 'handcrafted in Korea' and is about 2 years old - believe they're now made in China though. Its all solid though and good value I reckon for the money.

  • Yes, you are right - I even have that book - haha. I had missed this one - or forgotten about it maybe. Thank you ;-)

I see, so what kind of price level are we talking here ?

It sounds really good and well suited for this type of picking - each note, voice and

harmony stands out very clearly. Or maybe that is "just" due to the great skills of the picker ?

How long have you been playing ? Ragtime ?

  • cost me around £250 i think but have seen them for less since although supoposedly the ones made in China or of lower quality but not having played one i cant comment. Been playingpicking guitar around 8 years but really enjoy ragtime stuff. thanks for the comments.
