Morrowind Construction Set - Tutorial 1

Last questions of today:)

- I am using the Tes of Morrowind, but can i use the tes of Oblivion to create Morrowind mods?

- Can i use Oblivion Mods recreate those mods for Morrowind?

- Someone made a Spider mod resourse, without .esp but with Meshes and Textures.

-> How can i place that spider in my game?

- How can i make existing NPC stronger and self healing so that morrowind becomes more difficult?

Some questions:

- A script in Name of 01.Esp had not Compiled. What does that mean?

- How - can you make the inside bigger than the outside?

-> Simply scale the interior bigger did not work

- Do you have to renew the ID of an item if you only scale the item?

- Getting a message about creature groups. And that the game will crash.

-> What are creature groups? It's about adding more than two practise dummy

How can I make a npc invincible? I have a merchant in the game with very high weapons for sale but I want the player to have to pay for them instead of just killing him and taking them.

I did that but a few of my friends that are beta testing my mods for me just beefed themselves up or else glitched the game to kill him. It would just be much easier to make him invincible.

@1990rms make him a constant effect enchanted clothing with fortify health 9999999pts, shield 99999% magic shield 99999% reflect 9999% and so on. if they can beat that they really aren't playing for fun. they may as well go into TES and spawn your stuff into every container, but you can't dictate free will, making them invincible wouldn't effect their ability to take those items

The only thing I don't like about the Morrowind CS is that it has no filter option. You have to look through countless items and variables and ID's before you find what you're looking for. I much prefer the GECK (Fallout CS) over the TES CS. I just think it's better organized with drop-down lists and such.

@Tuatara8081 To correct you... The esm master file does contain most things cept compressed textures and the likes of those. the esm master file is also a index file that includes the rest of the BSA files. So ticking the esm file will get you all the stuff you need like i said.

hey ive made a few buildings now. im having problems with the doors in one of my buildings. when i load the game to play there is no door only a blank space where the door should be. i tried changin the doors. this fixes these doors but then other doors vanish. how come it is doing this

Sorry, it didn't all fit in one comment.

The only problem I had, is when the book is picked up it updates the journal entry. I did the same script as in the tutorial, but when I play the game, it comes up with an error whenever I enter the building that I put the book in.

And I can't figure out what is wrong.

So if you could cover how to make a script to have the journal update whenever an item is picked up, it'd be awesome.
