In his Longarm Prime mode, he has what you consider "3 eyes". It's just 2 eyes and just a red dot on top to make it look more like his 'scuba mask' head.

However his actual mode, Shockwave, is based on the original series (apart from the color, which was adressed in a later episode).

Next time, make a comment that cohesively adresses your problems.

How is this Shockwave not menacing? He has claws for hands, killed Longarm so he could take his place, threatens to kill Optimus should he survive the space bridge, kills Blurr, put Ultra Magnus into a coma (more than likely killed him), stole the most powerful Autobot artifact, etc.

@RandomGirlguess Because it increases the jeopardy and makes the Decepticons a more credible threat; the Autobots and Decepticons are not exactly evenly matched, so the arrival of a single Decepticon is a big deal and requires teamwork, ingenuity and bravery by the Autobots. You know, like, character junk.

It also matches the classic description of the Autobots as a consumer product, while the Decepticons are military equipment (military vehicles are invariably larger than civilian ones).

Hey whoa there, mrsbumblebee800, Shockers didn't permanently destroy Blurr, but he had to keep his cover intact somehow. Also, the info Blurr had would've endangered a lot of 'bots, so Shockers had to make sure he couldn't say anything to anyone just yet...I don't know if you knew this, but Shockwave's one of the few remaining Ancient Cybertronians. That means he's concerned about planetary safety above all else (the only reason he's considered Deecepticon is because he's a true military model).
