  • do you have to pay for toontracks

  • thats great i have one of those kits too :)

  • i was wondering on what the triggering does exactly? does it enable it so you can hook head phones to laptop and hear the sounds u want instead of all the preloaded sounds on the dtxplorer. i have one of my own, and it is really good, but i want to make sure what im doing before i get one.

  • nice man, so just to clarify all i need is that lead (midi to usb) and that goes into my computer from the module, then assign each pad and then use the headphone socket on my computer to here it?

  • How did you get a song to play on the drums that wasn't already on the drums?

  • I've played on these at school, and I really didnt like the Cymbal pads

  • Hi. Can you help me with a longstanding problem? I'm connecting my Yamaha DTXplorer electronic drums to my iMac (purchased new in 9/2009) and using ezdrummer inside garageband . I'm using a program called midipipe to get the electronic drums to work in garageband as a midi instrument. No matter what I do, every time I play my electronic drums, there's a short delay, enough to ruin the timing of every song I work on, even after doubling my mac's ram to 8 gb. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • NIce I like it (=

  • does double bass hook on well?

  • can i connect the yamaha dtxplorer to my laptop so i could play along with a song in my laptop?if yes,is the wire for the conection of the laptop and drum kit available with the package?

  • Yes, it is possible. That's exactly what I have done. Check out my other DTX video where I explain my setup with my laptop. You will need a M-Audio UNO MIDI/USB adapter to connect to your laptop.

    Good luck.

  • how much is this kit retail?!

  • Around a thousand usd.

  • You have a MIDI mapping problem. I am not sure what drum machine you use, but it's time to check the manual. As for Yamaha DTXPolorer, you have to use Loop be MIDI mapper tool. Hope that helps.

  • @sonnetg how does that midi mapping works? :S

  • Open Cubase-Insert a new midi track- Hit/strike the drum pad you want to change the note of. Then open KEY EDITOR from the Menu bar, see that big piano? well you need to find the sound you want... done that? Now insert a note by right clicking your mouse selecting the insert line or something.. Now open DRUM EDITOR you'll see loads of numbers like D#1 ect and you'll also see the note/notes you recorded and entered. Change the Numbers around to get the pad to play your desired sound.

  • Hey Nice Beats what program do you use to open EZDrummer in because im most likely getting it soon and just wanted to now best program to open it in

  • Hello, I am using Cubase Le, which is actually no longer supported by Cubase.

You should be able to use any DAW that support VSTs.

EZDrummer can also run in standalone mode.

    Good luck.

  • Thanks!

  • Cubase is a good program..

but i advice anyone who wants to use this go use "SONAR"...which allot more "user-friendly"~

  • for me FL Studio AKA Fruity Loop. way less RAM needed by the software. That means more ram for the plug-ins and less latency(sound lag or delay)

  • i have to say, these drums DO sound awesome.

  • HAH!...Arafat..buddy...how are ya?

I knew you would like it. The samples truly are great. You will forget everything else if you try EZD/DFH. Get one ASAP!
