@OpTicBossaru Balisong Knives are more slower to draw unless you are just really good with them and the blades have a little bit of play most of the time. They are not really made for self defense but for more of a sport. You have to remember if you show you have a weapon and you take a few secs to have it useable it could cost you your life. You can't bet on the "shock" of the knife saving you.

I have the earliest VG-10 model that was part of a limited pre production run different from early production VG-10 and stainless models. The spyderco markings are a little different and there is a number halfway up the blade on one side. The current ones go for just over $100 while the original VG10s Ive heard go for $300. If you have one hold onto it as the value will go up on mint in the box knives. I have no idea what the value might be on the limited# one I own, but its not for sale anyway.

@9DragonsGamer A Kimura is probably gonna be your best bet considering that BM 42's aren't in production anymore and neither are Spyderflys so you probably won't be able to find one of them except for around 220ish most likely more. So I would say go for a Kimura since they are only about 100 and good flippers too.

I like this one because it's a unique knife, but I don't like the fact that the grind is uneven. Because of this the edge get's blunter and blunter closer to the handle and closest to the handle it's so blunt you can't cut anything with it.

the spyderfly is NOT a double edged blade. it has a false edge that runs half way down the spine of the blade and is completely unsharpened. . the blade is a modified spear point, called a leaf blade, since it obviously resembles a leaf. spyderco chose this blade shape to keep things symmetrical in terms of aesthetics.

There ARE some double-edged on the market, and while I can't tell you any model numbers off the top of my head, I can tell you that they generally have a portion of their secondary cutting edge bunted so that you CAN still twirl. You can be an ass all you want, I'm just a curious balisong fan. The way this blade is shaped, it looks like the top half of the "safe" side is sharpened. Pay attention, and stop being a dick.
