This title is '漂着物 Hyouchakubutsu'(It means flotsam or thing drifted ashore).

In Japan, it is compiled with 'Slug girl' in the book '怪奇カンヅメ Kaiki Kanzume'.

It may be difficult to find the English version.

Uzumaki and Gyo is well known abroad, but actually Ito is good at short story.

Junji Ito bizarre drawings probably inspired by the works of H.P Lovecraft's Cthluthu Mythos and Urotsukidoji that's just my take on it.

In Gyo, it cracked me up when I saw Kaori being turned into a fat ugly smelly bitch by the germ and being plugged into the walking machine through her mouth and asshole. Oh the part where the dead uncle's flying airship was destroyed and the machine sprouted bat-like wings... kinda reminds me like batman/ Shin Getter Robo... maybe I just have a sick sense of humor :P

auuuuuugh. some of these images are fucking FRIGHTENING. I see how the artists operate: 1) lots of faces/bodies smashed together to create a larger figure 2) lots of dark spots to highlight the whites of eyes, etc 3) the silouhettes in the foreground of the characters 'looking' @ the monster gives it a great 'youre there' type feel 4) whenever a larger demon is revealed, the text increases tenfold in size!

If only Museum of Terror had done really well in America we would be soaring with most of Junji Ito's comics. I've read a few scanlations of Flesh-coloured horror and Lovesick dead but i've been waiting for someone to translate Hellstar Lemina in english for a long time but can only find chinese scans of it.

In my humble opinion, i think the main mistake of dark horse and the "museum of terror" serie was to start with material already published and distributed in america; the "tomie" serie had been published before by "comic one"(but dark horse did a way better job). Considering Ito is followed by what we could call an "underground and limited public" (in america), that public had buyed Tomie and was waiting for the "new stuff" to come. They should have started with that "never seen" material.
