  • Where is Pai Mei? :P

  • that was good. it was just the introduction to the form. either the tiger-crane or the bunji kern. would be nice to see the whole form.

  • does anybody remember why shaw bros stopped they production company i remember that bey logan told it was coz ewn audience got tired seeing same martial art moves and goregraphy (

wich always was wery similiar to something what was already been seen)over and over again and im not talking some short perioud time but maybe 30years and that goes for the set and movie backround too which they newer change for another movie

  • i like gordon he was one of those pioneers who bring the kungfu knowledge to big stream but as long as i remember i had always see him doing those axatly same moves (some of them were not here but you know the hung gar form sets)nothing more nothing less it is just my opinion that man should be learn somth new in 30years if he sees him self as a kungfu master not movie star

  • Some masters explore new styles, but others continue to practice the same style, even the same forms, for a lifetime. The movements are so rich, and the practice continues to evolve in subtle ways. It might not be very interesting for an observer, but that kind of research is an important part of mastery.

  • you are right i admire gar wing and gar leung wery much and know they passioned love for martial arts but is it that also true that regardless how long you train punch is still a punch and kick is still nothing more that a kick ewen in north pole or different style but there is different kind of punces and i hawent ewer seen him make something different those sets in 30years so are you maybe saying that learning other moves is useless coz its not including hung gar is the truth binded in style

  • yeaa i know what you mean, i always see him doing the same form......unless he's keeping the real killer techniques hidden...lol.

  • In the old days in China, people would only practice a small handful of forms for their entire life. Sometimes only 1 or 2. But they would know them so well that they became instinctive. They would drill the individual techniques thousands of times from different angles and conditions, spar with them, do hard conditioning work, etc. That's the only way you'll ever really be a master. These guys now who learn 50 forms and 10 different styles can't fight their way out of a paper bag.

  • I agree with you 110%! The untrained eye won't pick up the subtleties of a simple yet complex technique.

  • @hulkout666 Wise words my friend!

  • @hulkout666 U are correctly... Just like university... Once u reach to master or phd you will start focus on certain area.

  • @haanhasa

obviously you don't train in Chinese martial arts or Kung Fu. Real masters only stay with one style and master it. It is life long journey. People who jump around never master any one style.

  • Gotta Love Gordon Liu. He's awesome at Hung Ga. Next time you see him, ask him about the 12 bridges.

  • i can hear his breathing from here.

  • Amazing. Hard to not be jealous. That is such an opportunity.

  • His English is actually quite good. This is from a seminar put on by the Shaolin Wushu Center, which is one of 2 schools owned by Master Hu Jianqiang. 1 is in South Windsor, CT and 1 is in Santa Monica, CA...Master Hu and Master Liu have been friends for a long time. wushucenter . com

  • Congratulations to all the people that participated on that seminar, you were learning the best kung fu from a living legend. Great.

  • Thank you posting .

  • a living legend

  • still great thank you very much

  • nice video! does he speak?

  • He spoke during the seminar, but my camera only recorded one minute of video at a time, and the memory was almost full. So I only got the end of the class.
