Well... you can replace the materials, using mud (if as that the children use to do the figures of ceramics, assure yourself that it should be "infantile" because it does not contain toxic elements) 1st. Then take a chunk of rubber to shape and obtain your mold 2nd. He places the rubber to shape in the freezer and extract it this when it lasts. The third and last step you it can do as is this one in the video ^. ^

Can't any of you appreciate the work in this? Why buy cheap plastic fangs that don't even stick in your mouth for an hour, let alone a day, instead of making your own and having them last for a long time AND multiple wears? This how-to can be used as a base for a lot of other things as well, not just vampire fangs. I for one, am grateful for this. Nice work guys.

I really appreciate your original take on the problem at hand, but it is so much easier to carefully dremel pre-made acrylic denture teeth, which are available at insanely dirt cheap prices. You can get 16 cards of anterior teeth for around 16 buck, including postage, from China. Naturally you have to fabricate the actual fangs by hand--hope my info helps,both techniques could be nicely incorporated into the procedure.

A much easier way is 2 go to a hobby store and ask for "friendly" plastic, ( its like this bendable type of plastic ). 1st) take the friendly plastic nd cut it into 2 small squares ( not 2 small tho!! ). 2nd) Boil some water nd put it in2 a mug, then wit a spoon take 1 of the plastic pieces and dip it in2 the water nd keep it under 4 bout 20 seconds, stick it 2 ur canine tooth and mold it into shape(do same wit other piece) let dry 4 bout 2 min, and there u go, a set of fangs!

@amkbaby421 Its actually kinda fun if you use polymer clay, bite into the small block of it for the impressions and then use the plaster to make the molds. It is difficult to use acrylic but I am a nail tech so I love sculpting the teeth. The way these guys do this is complicated and the teeth dont really look 'real' but I dont think the friendly plastic would make the best shape. But it can be used to make the impressions by warming it and then pressing it around the teeth in your mouth.

this is not just a DIY at home thing this is too complicated and not even worth the time, you can buy 15 dollar fangs from vampfangs that look better!

you can go to any costume store and get these pre-made

You mix a compound similar to what they use.

You just put some of the compound (that comes with), put it in the tooth, and put it on yours. You hold it there for about 5 minutes and then break the seal so it doesn't stick permanently to your tooth. Now you can use them for years.

Yeah, you could always buy them but this is good if you like making your own custom pieces of work. Also, I watched a video that helped me out, instead of using alginate- Bite into a piece of modeling clay you can buy from the dollar store, then pour cheap craft plaster into it and pull it out. Then you can shape the nail acrylic onto that.

JUST in time for halloween. ( its April) lol i made something similar using alginate and those plastic throw away teeth. i simply cut out the two teeth i wanted to use and filled them with the alginate, leaving a bit to bite down on for firm grip. then let them dry. they suctioned right on and looked great. great job guys. hteres a million things to do with that info, thanx .

No, trust me, the exothermic reaction could burn your gums, plus the monomer (liquid), is poisonous until the reaction has fully taken place..... In the warnings it says that if ingested then you are to continue to drink lots of water..... if you're still conscious, that is.

you can it is a bit difficult but ive made it just putting it directly to my teeth then sharpening it with a nail file. but dont use too much because while it can be sharpened unless your going to use an electric powered sander sharpening with a nail file takes a really long time!!
