Want to know the truth behind it all? 4/6 members of the band are greedy bastards and wanted to change their sound for money and fame, plus Nuclear Blast forced them to make their most "commercial" album yet. Because this is not the true Sonic Syndicate. The Sonic Syndicate that most people love.
This is a pop-song with screaming in it, and that is not what most the fans want, seeing as most of their loyal (or previously loyal) fans are metal-heads.
We don't want just screaming/growling, but we want it to be mostly screams and both cleans and growls in the chorus, like they used to be. Not the other way around.

if the member that left sonic syndicate would of stayed with the band, you would be hearing music from them that they would be producing with him, which is screamo & metal.
but now this new guy has come in, he looks really cool, and he is a good singer, and i like the fact he's changed the band a little, going pop.

I dont see why people spend their time writing shit about bands or people, I agree that this song isn't what I expected but I've read an interwiev with Richard and he said there will be songs for everyone (both heavy and soft songs) so I wouldn't give up just yet.
And we haven't heard the whole album yet, well, not most of us at least.
If you you guys don't like the new stuff, then just don't listen to the new stuff or find another band, it's that simple.
I have heard the whole album, and yes the whole album except for the songs "We Rule The Night" & "Break Of Day" sucks. it's all pop gay shit, 100 bucks that madonna wroted these songs.
I find it kind of amusing that they release the worst songs on the album as singles beforehand.
I'm not going to lie: I preferred the older stuff and even some of the Fallen Angels era songs, but I don't think this is all THAT bad. From what we've heard "Turn It Up", "Revolution, Baby" and "My Own Life" are, in my opinion, the worst songs on the album. Songs like "Break of Day", "Dead And Gone" and "Black And Blue" sound AMAZING!
Bands change, and these guys are still so young. Live with it.
I haven't heard any of their early stuff, but I can definitly tell without a doubt that this is an awfull piece of commercial pop... It's really a shame to see something like this on NuclearBlast, but then again, NuclearBlast seems to be selling out in general too...

I used to be happy when I listened to the Burn This City EP, I thought Nathan can be a good replacement for Roland, but now I see I was f.ckin wrong, he killed my favourite band, in 2007 when I heard first time the demo of Psychic Suicide I fell in love in that very moment, and I was one of their biggest fans, until I heard Revolution crap... a real shame. Rest in peace World's greatest music!

Wow...I was kinda put off a bit when I heard Burn This City, but I came to accept that it was a new singer and a new start for SS and the track grew on me as well as Rebellion in Nightmareland. But since then every single I have heard has been a further push away from what I used to like about Sonic Syndicate.
It's nobody's fault for the band choosing to take another direction artistically, that's life and that's the industry. But as a fan of the original SS, We Rule the Night is looking bad.
I was hoping that the other songs from We Rule the Night wernt indicitive of the rest of them, saddly, they are, and as such, I join in to tribute to the real SS.

in 2007 I had never heard of sonic syndicate until I saw them live with Amon Amarth. I loved them. In 2010 they lost a singer and turned into some type of band spewing audible horseshit everywhere. I cannot dance, headbang, or listen to this. The new singer seems great, but the band as a whole is fuck up. whoever your manager is needs a goddamn boot in the jaw.
Just because a band changes there sound doesn't mean they should be hated on. All you goddamn retards out there are too simple to understand the fact that they're trying to appeal to a wider audience to get a bigger name for themselves. Also, Nathan is a singer, not a goddamn guitarist or bassist. What the new sound is now may be influenced by him, but not directly. If you don't like what they're writing now, DON'T BUY THE C.D, and don't complain about it, they're not going to change anything.

Bands are really influenced by singers, though he isn't a guitarist or bassist, he will make changes to songs that he feels fits his vocals. I have no intention of buying the CD and so far from what I've seen, neither will a lot of other people. Sonic Syndicate is becoming more commercial by trying to appeal to a wider audience, so I'm going to call them sell-outs.

Had he had MORE screams, it could've been even better.

1) The song is awful. It only made me want to turn it OFF if anything.
2) They are not metal anymore.
3) Nathan fails more and more on each new song.
4) The lyrics are just MINDLESS. A 12 year old could do better.

Because this is not the true Sonic Syndicate. The Sonic Syndicate that most people love.
This is a pop-song with screaming in it, and that is not what most the fans want, seeing as most of their loyal (or previously loyal) fans are metal-heads.
We don't want just screaming/growling, but we want it to be mostly screams and both cleans and growls in the chorus, like they used to be. Not the other way around.

I dont see why people spend their time writing shit about bands or people, I agree that this song isn't what I expected but I've read an interwiev with Richard and he said there will be songs for everyone (both heavy and soft songs) so I wouldn't give up just yet.
And we haven't heard the whole album yet, well, not most of us at least.
If you you guys don't like the new stuff, then just don't listen to the new stuff or find another band, it's that simple.
I still got hope for this album.

I find it kind of amusing that they release the worst songs on the album as singles beforehand.
I'm not going to lie: I preferred the older stuff and even some of the Fallen Angels era songs, but I don't think this is all THAT bad. From what we've heard "Turn It Up", "Revolution, Baby" and "My Own Life" are, in my opinion, the worst songs on the album. Songs like "Break of Day", "Dead And Gone" and "Black And Blue" sound AMAZING!
Bands change, and these guys are still so young. Live with it.

OMG, what a shit, the Syndicate is dead. I used to be happy when I listened to the Burn This City EP, I thought Nathan can be a good replacement for Roland, but now I see I was f.ckin wrong, he killed my favourite band, in 2007 when I heard first time the demo of Psychic Suicide I fell in love in that very moment, and I was one of their biggest fans, until I heard Revolution crap... a real shame. Rest in peace World's greatest music!

And it's so sad that Nathan could've done totally fine with the band. He does the old songs well and Break of Day is actually a pretty good song. And on top of that, he's a fan of Soilwork, a band that's even heavier than SS, so why doesn't he try to influence them in that direction instead?

Wow...I was kinda put off a bit when I heard Burn This City, but I came to accept that it was a new singer and a new start for SS and the track grew on me as well as Rebellion in Nightmareland. But since then every single I have heard has been a further push away from what I used to like about Sonic Syndicate.
It's nobody's fault for the band choosing to take another direction artistically, that's life and that's the industry. But as a fan of the original SS, We Rule the Night is looking bad.

in 2007 I had never heard of sonic syndicate until I saw them live with Amon Amarth. I loved them. In 2010 they lost a singer and turned into some type of band spewing audible horseshit everywhere. I cannot dance, headbang, or listen to this. The new singer seems great, but the band as a whole is fuck up. whoever your manager is needs a goddamn boot in the jaw.

Just because a band changes there sound doesn't mean they should be hated on. All you goddamn retards out there are too simple to understand the fact that they're trying to appeal to a wider audience to get a bigger name for themselves. Also, Nathan is a singer, not a goddamn guitarist or bassist. What the new sound is now may be influenced by him, but not directly. If you don't like what they're writing now, DON'T BUY THE C.D, and don't complain about it, they're not going to change anything.

Bands are really influenced by singers, though he isn't a guitarist or bassist, he will make changes to songs that he feels fits his vocals. I have no intention of buying the CD and so far from what I've seen, neither will a lot of other people. Sonic Syndicate is becoming more commercial by trying to appeal to a wider audience, so I'm going to call them sell-outs.
