He was recently released from the WWE along w/ Chris Masters, D.H. Smith, Chavo Guerrero, Vladimir Kozslov, Melina, and Luke Gallows. TNA needs to sign all except for D.H. Smith. D.H. is a better fit for ROH.
I dont think that the WWE fans got the gimmick. I thought it was a stroke of genius & wish he was still on the roster. I wish WWE would bring him back with Eugene as a tag team.

Why the hell did WWE allow Jesse to be Malibu's Most Wanted? Too bad they released him though, he was a pretty good wrestler; DISREGARDING the Slam Whats-his-face gimmick.
As for Festus, he's okay as Gallows; but was likable as a the Cornfed Colossus.
