I would not buy it! It is a cross between the Sonata and the Genesis and why would they build a car to compete with themselves? This is why the Genesis is not selling too well along with the Equis as no one is going to spend $40,000 or above for a Hyundai. If they are smart they should only live the Genesis as the premier vehicle and make sure that is loaded with all of the gadgets.

Second, You have people who pay 40k for Fords, Chevys, Toyota's (mostly the SUVs) Nissans, Jeeps etc. So 40k for a Hyundai (talking about the avg/upper working class person) is no different. As I do agree with you on the Equus it is a little to fast for Hyundai to make a vehicle like that now. But Hyundai is pushing for the luxury and still comes out cheaper than the competition.

People who want an upgrade version of Sonata but don't want or can't afford luxury sedan this might be perfect for them. This is the best design version so far in Hyundai line up.
Also heard that for the next year Santa Fe will be transformed totally.
