That being said, remember back in the good old days before the shit despawned when the Dunes would just get shut down by the entire zones worth of Gobs being trained to the zone? LOL
And I can't tell you how many hours I spent sitting outside of Crawler's Nest waiting for a few 75's to take care of all the crawlers

This was the best invention until abyssea came out, because it saved so much fucking time from the long annoying leveling from 10 to 54(for birds) , and only retarded gimps didnt know to level a 75 rdm or war to skillup beforehand, those were the dumb shits

@wetdesert yea i just loved the mage atmas before i quit, I was giddy for my 20mp refresh with all my rdm stuff, but the tanking can be done by like any job with enough damage or alot of HP
.... ninjas are the 2nd most preferred tank in the game especially for proc'ing red for KI's. MNK if blue is needed.
war can tank with a good -pdt & -mdt set (and atmas) but ninjas are by far one of the most useful jobs.. dont know where your getting your false information from.
@ausmarc88 I'd say a NIN shines best in low manning for procs and holding hate or versus mobs that use mainly physical attacks. Our ls tends to use WAR or MNK when we go out with large groups being that they have more HP, since most of the tp moves/spells the harder NMs use are aoe and would take down shadows anyway. That's not to say we don't bring NINs at all when we go out in large groups for events, just that a MNK is usually chosen to solo or duo while everyone else stays out of aoe range.
Can we change the name to LazyBurning? Really, nothing "great" about using this method to exp, just proves that you are lazy and gimp. We don't need anymore of these type of people in FFXI man, number one: Doing this breaks the game. Ever try wasting 20m or so to take control over Gustaberg region right before tally and an AstralBurn party erases all that progress? Number two: Tired of seeing so many gimp 75~85s with Lv10~20 combat/magic skills. Yes, it makes people lazy in real parties.
Abyssea's worse, and is easier to organize. Just something that can't be helped unfortunately. This is the only astral burn I'd ever done, and I took the invite on a whim when I was leveling my COR up. Was a fun experience since I'd never done it before, but it's died out since Abyssea's release.
This game does indeed still exist and thrive. You summon shiva and use your 2 hour ability which is AoE. Ethers are used repeatedly to keep using the AoE moves. Several monsters are gathered up so that for every AoE move used by a summoner yields several experience points. People usually pay a lot of gil to level up this way, but I happened to get a random invite when my Corsair was low level, because they have an ability which gives everyone more experience points per kill. The End.

=_= its more like 40-50k every 1-2 hours depending on the amount of held mobs. And also depending on it you are able to have a corsair get all the summoner's 2 hours back before the are ready.
When I played at release it took me a few years to hit 75 lol This is insane to see.
