One thing that worries me (as a world citizen affected by the US economy) is that he thinks that mortgage companies should be regulated, but is the FEDERAL RESERVE that should be regulated. The worse is, i think HE KNOWS that the private owned (and full of secrecy FED is the problem), but does not have the balls to say it.

They mentioned on MSNBC with Keith Olberman that the telecomm bill does not give them CRIMINAL immunity! They theorized Obama may go along with the civil immunity, but still has the right to go after them criminally later, which he has indicated in the past he will do. I think it was a smart move to go ahead and get the important stuff in the bill passed, and then pull the rug out from under them!

The problem isn't with financial aide, it is with colleges over charging.

The cost of tuition has gone up a ton in the last decade and the education provided hasn't improved much if at all.

Financial aide is actually causing more problems because colleges know that people will be able to come up with the aide/loan money, so they are charging insane rates. THAT is what needs to get fixed.

I agree 100 percent. My high school cost 25,000 a year. A YEAR! I cannot afford to send my daughter to private school, esp in LA; preschool here costs between 1000 and 1700 a year! Just preschool!
