BTW, I usually kill the two guys in Pala with the explosives. I sneak behind the target and put down a mine, then I go near the town border and have some fun ;-) This way you only have to cross the ceasefire zone line and you're done. Point is sometimes the guy turns the very moment you're setting the trap...

I took him out with the machete and it worked, I got away with it. I did that assassination at night, so I don't know if that maybe helped me a bit more.

the best way to kill a target in pala, is to place a few explosives (so that no body see's you, otherwise they go on to alert), drive out of town and just blow him up.
