So, carlm88, by your reasoning, since Jesus didn't speak of Paul, he wasn't really an apostle, and all of that extra stuff that Paul explained doesn't count either. Faith has never been a matter of reasoning out what can and can't be--none of us can comprehend the mind of God--but rather humility, obedience, and testimony. I believe in the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith, not because his teachings make the most sense to me, but because I have felt God's Spirit witness that they are true.

SO. is this saying that jesus didn't do his job right? And that joseph Smith another true prophet was sent by jesus...... SO jesus died on the cross ,just so this guy could come later and add more........... jesus never spoke about this guy comming up with all this extra stuff.... @carlm88 Actually it is formally known as the Great Apostacy (sorry I just slaughtered that) Jesus died and passed the correct doctrines to his apostles who evetually died too. And when they died the doctrine got changed due to corrupt people. Then the true church of christ was messed up and lost, which meant that someone had to come and restore it all back to the earth. And that person just happened to be Joseph Smith, so no he did not come and add more he just restored what had been lost.

Well he didn't just make things up... we believe that the church is the restored gospel, for the true gospel was taken away during the apostacy. If you don't agree with our beliefs, I respect your opinion, but please don't try to prove us wrong when we already have felt in our hearts that this is true

I know the Book of Mormon the Holy Bible to be the word of God. I've completely read both several times. They compliment each other. They both contain God's words for us!

I have a grandfather who was imprisoned for something he didn't do. He knew Joseph Smith personally. While in jail he was offered a large bag of money if he would betray Joseph Smith. He would not, though he was very poor, denounce the Prophet. Nor will I!

Hello. I love these three videos. I have read the Book of Mormon and know it is true. Read it with an open mind, ponder it's message, pray with real intent and you will find out the truthfulness of it too. I have a grandfather who was well acquanted with Joseph Smith. My grandfather was poor and placed in jail for something he didn't do. He was offered a large bag of money, and his freedom if he would betray Joseph Smith. He wouldn't take the money because he knew it was true too.

Wow, I see a lot of people here say a lot of things about my church, yet they do not have any proof of any faults between the BoM and the HB. I have read The BoM, and many people are saying that the BoM is not true, yet they have not read it. For those who have read the BoM, and say it is not true, that is your own opinion.

We put our confidence in God. However, all through time, God has called prophets and others, like the apostles, to help move forward the gospel. If God calls a man, I will support him too.

We love the Bible and don't try to add a word to the Bible. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, brought forth under the direction of God.

I want to ask you Cory, do you believe that God can never speak again? That He does not have the power to do it? Because it sounds as if you would deny ANYTHING other than the Bible, even if straight from the mouth of God. Be careful to put limitations on what God can and cannot do.

How do we know if it is God....We look in the bible to see if it lines up. Since Joseph Smith's beliefs are VERY much against what Jesus preached we know his revelations to be false. He even said it himself "Some revelations are of the devil."

He confirmed it. Noone knew it happened. I kept it a secret.  Seceral times when prophets were praying over me in church they said "The Lord has appeared to you twice. He has great plans for your life!" The Lord confirmed it many times when I had not told anyone!

Joseph Smith's teachings line up with what Jesus preached and taught, and what His apostles preached and taught. As Latter-day Saints we vigorously study the Bible, as well as the Book of Mormon and other scriptures.

If you are referring to the other video, I think you may want to look at the responses I've given. You clearly do not understand the topics you posted about. I understand that this can happen when you copy and paste from somewhere and are not familiar with the actual topics, so I hope you will do some study and answer my questions.

The first thing to do would be to actually READ the Book of Mormon, which you have admitted you have never done.

The Book of Mormon, like the Bible, contains a record of God's dealings with a part of the House of Israel. It contains prophecies of Christ and also reveals how Christ, after His resurrection and ascension into heaven, later ministered to those who had waited for Him in the New World.

He appeared in the Americas after his ascension. Remember that Jesus can do what He wants to do--be careful about trying to put your limitations on Him. :)

your right they are to deceive you. The mormons high churches are of lucifer.  They believe that lucifer and Jesus were brothers and a whole lot more. My sisters ex husband left the mormon church when he found this out.

My ex brother inlaw left the church when he learned how far off they are. I guess its not your fault. just the same with catholics. They have no idea how far off of the Christian bible they are.

No I only read the bible, I've only read passages of the book of mormon and teachings of Joseph smith. One thing he said was "First God Himself, who sits enthroned in yonder heaven, is a man like unto one of yourselves, that is the great secret." The bible teaches that God is a spirit and not as male or female humans. Both cant be right.

(Genesis 1;26,27)26. And God said " Let us create man in our Image ,after our Likeness. (1;27)27. and God created man in his own image , ect . (if God the Eternal Father was a Single person and spirit so would we also be spirit only and no gender or have both gender unto withinselves have no need for oppsite genders ) but seeing that we are in our Eternal Parents Image then he has a physical body and we have an ability to become like him .

It is possible that the reason the Book of Mormon couldn't have come from what the film says is not a learned man is that it DIDN'T come from Joseph, and that he largely plagerized the Bible, which he knew well, and his imagination got the best of him the rest of the way?

No, it came from God! The Book of Mormon is 500+ pages, filled with many aspects of ancient Hebrew writing, such as chiasm. "Imagination" does not get you things like ancient writing styles.
