  • Sorry I meant to say irreversible.

  • I work for Greenpeace USA. The goal of Greenpeace is not to shut down companies and cause people to lose jobs. The goal of Greenpeace is to get the Government and Corporations to adopt clean energy practices. Global warming speaks to the problems created by man. All we want is for people to take responsibility and erect change. We have a 7 year window to stop Global warming before the problem is reversible. Do you want your children, or your grandchildren to have to deal with it?

  • its a good campaign, but portuguese celebs are just hypocrites

  • I SINCERELY HOPE THAT THE WOOD FROM THEIR INSTRUMENTS (CELLO, VIOLIN, GUITAR) IS ACTUALLY MADE OF PLASTIC.

if not they would be hypocrites. =)

  • greenpeace is for losers.

  • i think you are the loser...

  • Greanpeace is BULLSHIT, they do no good, they hurt us. Fucking nazis. I'll throw fucking rocks at you Greenpeace assholes if I see you.

  • bunch of Greenpeace propaganda trying to further their environmental agenda while they continue suppressing companies that just want to make money, bunch of Nazis.

  • Who the hell does the guy at 0:12 think he is? Freakin' Slash wanna be hippie. And what the hell is with that band in general? You cannot dress like a freaking metal band and go out and play gay violin. Stupid hippies gotta ruin everything.

  • well done making it clear that you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • what a bunch of bullshit.

  • Why does Greenpeace not fight wailing? All they do is photograph it year after year forever now... It is repulsive. The whaling season lasts for months and they only stay a few days. They pretend to save whales for a couple of days and hold up banners , photograph themselves and then off they go to their next "good cause"... I think Greenpeace is a hoax and a fraud.

  • The Sea Shepherd Organization who Greenpeace despises and refuses to acknowledge stays the entire whaling season and have a fraction of the funding. Watch what I am saying this upcoming whaling season. They will pull the exact same BS. Thanks for your political posturing Greenpeace.

  • Whales won't be around if climate change continues at the current pace. In fact, few things will survive in the ocean once the glaciers all melt and desalinate the water.

  • The one thing I dislike about the Greens is that, aside from a good portion of it being corporate bullshit (buy our eco-friendly burgers and you'll stop Antartica from thawing! REALLY!), they still envision a future where we can keep all the cars running. James Howards Kunstler has more or less shown this to be wishful thinking, and once the petrolium runs out, the car, the jet liner, etc. are finished. The railroads may be salvagable, but few people, especially in the US, consider this.

  • With all that said, Rio is wonderful. My parents live there now, and I'm headed down this summer to visit them again....I can't wait. Unfortunately Portuguese makes me feel borderline retarded.

  • Quick...let's use baseless fear mongering to usher in global tyranny! Awesome! There's never anything that essentially says "We'd like the G8 to radically change the way every human being lives their lives and force them to do what we want them to do" that doesn't just make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

WTF? Literally every problem that might be caused by "global warming" could be minimized by helping poor people get clean water. Instead let's spend trillions of dollars to fix...cont.

  • to fix something that we conceivably didn't even have that big an effect on.

These greenpeace fellas are off base here.

I say that with hesitation, because I consider myself an environmentalist in many ways. Nobody wants polluted water, air, or deforestation.

But this manmade global warming bit is ridiculous. The arguments made against it are far superior.

Look up the intelligence squared debate. IQ2

Michael Crichton has given good talks as well.

  • Thank you very much!!!Warm hugs:)

  • I agree with anchoalyptica.

  • wow, apocalyptica's performance of Beethoven's 5th symhony is becoming famous. It's really nice to see them doing such things to fight against climate changing :)

  • will Greenpeace be in Switzerland at the Greenfield Festival?

  • COOL!

  • todos los artistas deberian hablar sobre lo q esta ocurriendo en nuestro planeta, cada vez que realizen presentaciones...

  • We all certainly need to explore alternatives that will allow us to achieve sustainability. It really is up to each and every one of us to take the first step. I'm not so sure we can rely on our governments to take those steps for us.

  • "We all certainly need to explore alternatives that will allow us to achieve sustainability."

As I'm sure you know, human beings have been in the process of decarbonizing since the middle of the 1800's. It only makes sense that we will continue to do so. For better reasons than freaking out about global warming. The market will fix it for us. As oil gets expensive, people will be willing to change.

The other arguments are inhumane towards the Indians and Chinese.

  • I absolutely adore apocalyptica. It's wonderful to see such a talented band take a stand for the world!
