  • I agree with the OP, this does sound like it should be on the first album. Presence was a back to basics jam album, and was recorded and produced @ the same speed as Zeppelin 1.

As a side note, this album(zeps lowest seller) has sold more than the Stones best seller(exile).

  • Dangerous guitar tone!

  • this song kicks so much fucking ass it is insane

  • My Anthem.

  • stones are better

  • @swine74 Two bands with two completely different styles of music. You cannot compare both

  • Give a group of chimps typewriters and they'll eventually write a great book...same with music. You can say artists steal from one another, but all music started somewhere at some time, so technically I guess you can say every artist who ever wrote a song and played it stole from someone before them. That said, many times an artist will put their own touch on the song, essentially making it their own in a way..

  • Its said that Led Zeppelin have sold theyr souls to the Satan so they can have all the women, money and fame. And its also said that this song is an exorcism so they can break the contrant with the devil. I am an atheist i dont belive in such non-sence but if i need an exorsim i have found it ! :)

  • Musicians share, imitate, & modify ideas from other musicians. It"s been that way since the beginning of time. Sure, white rock n rollers were influenced by black blues players. It's called love of music, & it isn't going to be stopped by something as silly as skin color. Great jazz musicians played the saxophone, invented by Belgian Adolphe Sax in 1846, & the trombone, invented in 15th century Italy. It's absurd to think an artist should only be influenced by similarly colored artists.

  • the white man has been ripping off the black man since the 16th? century. get over it. That shit has nothing to do with musicians. musicians do not recognize ANY of that fucking bullshit. miles didn't (bill evans?) it's just a stupid fucking argument. without the stones there are a lot of black motherfuckers that never would have received their RIGHTFUL due. that doesn't mean that mick jagger isn't a fucking minstrel show. robert plant however -- real fuckin deal baby. ain't no denyin....

  • sweet sweet zep joy

  • Niggas gettin they fuckin due now. Jay Z playing carnegie hall. I think the trend has reversed! Soon Jay Z will have to rip off some poor fucking white guy!

  • ZEP I????? HOW FUCKING STUPID CAN YOU FUCKING BE??? (Cartman) But seriously, this is the fucking SHIT. Zep I was a start...

  • Negroes had about 9 million steps to go before they could rip off anyone, so who ripped off who?

  • They also lifted shit from Bert Jansch & the Pentangle, but you know what? Zeppelin still fuckin' rocks!

  • If this is a rip off then mary was a virgin. LOL

  • who gives a fuck shut up and listen

  • Not accurate. It took legal action on the part of the writers of some of the stolen parts to get the credit right: Check it out. Obviously it's absolutely fine if you do "your version" of someones music, especially if it's a great interpretation, like Zeppelin, but these dudes have a nasty reputation of NOT giving credit. Very unlike their colleagues in the British Blues scene, such as Cream, the Stones, etc. who lavished well deserved honour on their predecesors.

  • @JoryGKenneth shutup asschucker

  • @viperlegendkiller -- Now don't forget, even years from now, for your own sake - Just keep on repeating in your mind (ok also to mumble underneath your breath): "I am a stupid individual; I'm an imbecile that that is not capable of grasping the meaning of things."

p.s. your "name" says it all.

  • @JoryGKenneth U mad bro? Zeppelin rules!

  • well said, you try & play like they did, nowhere near I bet ya!

  • as igor stravinsky said...no good composers borrow, they STEAL

  • Even though Plant had bad injuries at the time of this, it is AMAZING!! This album really brings out a style of Zeppelin that is reserved for the true fans.

  • I'm a zeppelin fan like everyone else, but we don't have to insult the people that wrote the original songs and inspired them. Lets just all enjoy the music, or enjoy the older blues artists if that's what you prefer.

  • hA HA HA HA, THIS IS GOOD MUSIC !!!!!

  • *excellent

  • This definitley shows Robert Plant's vocal technique

  • ZEPって、たまにめっちゃ聴きたくなるよね。

  • The haters just have jealousy.

The blues was flat out boring until Zeppelin took it and made it explode!

  • @kchicub08 Led Zeppelin didn't think the blues was boring, Jimi Hendrix didn't either. It's pointless to respect a band and then spit on the bands THEY worshipped. It makes you look like an ignorant prick, because gawd knows you think like one.

  • FYI for all those who think Led Zeppelin "stole" songs; well they did. But a great artist once said, "Good artists copy, great artists steal." All blues songs are based off other blues songs and it was actually considered a complement back then to a blues artist when another artist used part of there song. Led Zeppelin is a very bluezy band. They don't ever deny the fact that they "stole" parts from other songs. However, they made it their own and it turned out absolutely-fuckin-amazing.

  • @bobdull420

The whole point of early Led Zeppelin was to do early reworkings of blues songs.

That was the trend back then, everybody covered songs like Train Kept a Rollin', it was very common.

  • @bobdull420 They artist who said about stealing was::STRAVINSKY

  • Comment removed

  • @bobdull420 Just to prove your point, Howlin' Wolf made more money after L Z began using his songs as inspiration then he did before L Z's existence.

  • I know it's all my fault

  • remaking a song is not stealing a song

  • All you haters, SHUT THE F*** UP ABOUT ZEPPELIN STEALING SONGS!!! That dumbass Blind Willie Johnson should've copyrighted his song and was free to the public. So all you stupid religious people bagging on Zeppelin and siding with Blind Willie, go somewhere else and listen to what ever the hell you guys call music.

  • Phucking beatiful

  • I wanna jump in parachutes while i'm hearing this monstrous piece.

  • Break out the king-sized Zig-Zags.............

  • @hammer95618 king sized?

  • that harmonica just got raped

  • been lookin for this awsome tune for about ten years now! finally found it!

  • @sargentsnugglewolf92 Wow, "Ten Years Gone" before finding this song, huh? That's another Led Zeppelin song, LOL!

  • dude every single song led made is fucking awesome, i dont care what anybody says

  • Zep mades the blues explode......

  • Elvis didn't steal a thing, but these two guys here stole 98% of the songs they called their own including this one written by Blind Willie Johnson.

  • I wonder where Oasis got the opening of Morning Glory from...

  • This song represents Zeppelin at its peak! Unfortunately, other songs on the album point to the end of Zeppelin. Long live Zeppelin!!

  • British artists who were so influenced by the blues music their fathers picked up during and after WWII have done way more justice to the blues men of America by "ripping them off" than America ever did for them.......

  • Zeppelin paid heavy royalties to everyone and their cousin so leave em alone, they paid their dues. its not like they took the music somewhere shitty or anything, quite the contrary I would say, GET OVER IT!!

  • How bout jimi hendrix

  • @fastacid714 I'm not an "AfroMan."

    I just have an afro.

And say what you want, I don't care for Bob Marley, so whatever.

  • @AfroMan1171 What about jimmy cliff,Stepping Razor

  • @fastacid714 Nope, Jimi Hendrix is awesome though.

  • @fastacid714 stfu, its not a rip off you ass its a entirely different rendering of blind Willie's classic. ever heard of a remake? its done all the time you friggin PC bonehead.

  • @Dreadmore BUT ITS NOT.

THERE IS NO SIMILARITYS BESIDES THE WORDS NOBODYS FAULT BUT MINE.

    Its not a Cover/Rip off/Remake OR reworking.

    THIS IS ORIGINAL MATERIAL

  • @kildare97 How's this original material? It's a reworking of Blind Willie Johnson's " Nobody's Fault But Mine." Robert Plant acknowledged this.

  • @CavSctLdr There is no words in common besides the words Nfbm

  • @CavSctLdr so Blind Willie is dead and gone. Plant should acknowledge ripping off Bobby Parker and finally PAY THE MAN.

  • @fastacid714 Well now, what you call "ripping off", I call embracing a good thing! About all of the great guitarists of the 60's and 70's have Blues music influence in their backgrounds! Quite simply, in developing their own unique sound, they incorporated Blues into their personal Blues/Rock styles and produced a great music genre that I am a fan of. Why so harsh man?

  • @fastacid714 I don't know why this conversation's even on here but the black man has ripped off far more music look at all the background tune's in rap all the majority is '50's tunes

  • @forgetfull40 What the f**K?! Are you talking about?

  • @fastacid714 It was just a comment for people unaware of the facts. Music is almost all ways "ripped off" , borrowed, sampled whatever. Not only music but just about every facet of our lives, very few things are truely original, exclude the internet. I guess I just felt credit should be given when due and royalties. From elVIS to jay Z Peace

  • @fastacid714

what is so wrong , when a white musician discover the music of an afroamerican and make it famous ?

this musician did much for this music and all what they become from some black extrmists is get hatered , to me it is the same shit like white racism/facism , so think of it , its only music , and as i know clapton AND page (and other white musicians) are well respected also from the most black artists . and , come on ! , what led zep make from these old blues numbers, is just grea

  • God gave us all a soul brother, white, black, red, yellow dont make a fukin differance.

God's watchers taught man so therefore it is !

Love this guitar. listened to Jimi Hendriz Pali Gap tohight, WOW!!!

  • @fastacid714 And Every since then rap has been ripping off samples of hit songs by white guys...lol Every type of music emulates something that came before with the exception of very few.

  • AS I said this was one of my favorite Zep songs till I realized it wasn't a Zep song.

    Great muzak though.

  • @fastacid714 ?

This is a Led Zeppelin song bro ._.

  • @AfroMan1171 YEAH and Blind Willie Johnson had nothing to due with it

  • @fastacid714 Ah you meant to say it wasn't an original composition.

That's true, Zeppelin only covered this.

  • @AfroMan1171 It is original

NO SIMILARITYS WHATSOEVER Besides those 4 words Nfbm.

Do people just look at the title and decide its a rip off?

  • 1930's COVER of a Blind Willie Johnson song.

  • @fastacid714 big news there

  • @RisingSon011 No its not.

I fucking hate that particular accusation.

THERE IS NO SIMILARITY BESIDES THE WORDS NOBODYS FAULT BUT MINE.

Trust me dude people look at the titles and scream PLAGARISM

  • @BleachTW the only difference beteween what Zepplein did with bluemen's songs and what Cream , Humble Pie , The Yardbirds , the Stones etc did , is Zeppelin didnt credit the original songwtiters .( at first ) But what Zeppelin did with the songs was far more interesting than what those other bands did . If people miss the point of the music because they pretend to ne insulted by Page's business dealings are idiots , and should get off the high horse and listen .

  • @RisingSon011 Yeah I know.

But this is an original song

The two songs are vastly different with different lyrics.

I don't get what people are trying to prove anyway with the plagarism charges(But the groundless ones irk me)

  • @RisingSon011 All it takes is a few lyrcs and a few more ideas and no credit where credit is due.

  • @fastacid714 awhh are you one of those people who pretend to be offended by Jimmy page's business dealings ? Good for you . morally upstanding fellow . Dont miss the point though . Its good music .

  • @fastacid714 WRONG.

The only similarity is they both have the words Nobodys fault but mine

    This song is an original

  • @BleachTW RIGHT.

  • @fastacid714 Dude.

That other song is about salvation and how we should read the bible.

This is about addiction and giving into temptation.

That accusation is groundless along with the nervous breakdown accusation

  • @GuitarsGalore557 .. oh the many mystics of led zeppie!

  • @GuitarsGalore557 Easily the best song on a crap album.

  • @achtsieben87 What?

Dude this album is in my top 3

  • 1 person is definitely at fault and needs to change their ways tonight.

  • never listened to led zepplin before but like the pic - the family that wanks together have only themselves to thank.

  • Oh Jimmy! Oh Jimmy!!!

  • @GuitarsGalore557 want to hear something worse? it wasn't until I was 18(2001) and was reading the back od Led Zep 1 album to discover that the lead singer wasn't jimmy page, it was robert plant. My entire life, I thought Jimmy page was the guitarist and singer. Imagine my dissapointment at that discovery. Will all due respect to Robert Plant who is an amazing singer.. would've been cooler if the guitarist and singer was the same person.

  • @bostonkanevideos the paradigms of steveie ray vaugn and jimmy hendrix led me to thing this... but instead i was led zeppelin

  • @bostonkanevideos its impossibly for 1 human being to be THAT good at both it would cause a black hole due to the sheer weight of awesome

  • love this song and every other Zeppelin song ever made. who cares if its from I or II its still Zeppelin all their albums rocked!

  • I agree with the video posters comment. This whole album sounds like 68 zeppelin all the way.

  • @GuitarsGalore557 Yeah, I've always thought it belonged on Led Zeppelin. It reminds me a lot of How Many More Times.

  • @AfroMan1171 This song sounds a lot more like the balls-out high energy rock they started with, I think. Much tighter and less composed. Just a riff-tastic, rocking cover of a blues standard. I love all the other grounds they covered too, for sure, but this is what made them from the start. Also, John Paul Jones is fucking RAW and this song is one of the best examples of why.

  • Damn, Robert did his homework. I love it!

  • what a band..holy shit

  • Props to Blind Willie Jonnson

  • Who is the horrible person who disliked this, what a weak softy

  • Been on a month long journey to find a bad Zeppelin song still looking ha. Zeppelin Forever!

  • @CombustableFerrets You will find yourself disappointed.

There are no bad songs by them.

I have heard all of them

  • @BleachTW me too mate, all of them were fantastic.

  • @CombustableFerrets tangerine is a bad one ha fuck all ya'll

  • @ApollosPythia tangerine is not a bad song you fuckin goofball

  • Best single kick player ever!!!

  • Did Jimmy Page play harmonica in this song?

  • @bigmarty11288 Not sure, I would assume Plant played harmonica, seeing as how he played harmonica on all their songs w/ harmonicas.

  • @AfroMan1171 this

  • @eatthisvr6 That

  • @bigmarty11288 nope, it was robert plant, you can see the credits on Allmusic

  • @bigmarty11288 Plant plays the harmonica. (And rarely gets credit for it

-- he was an awesome harmonica player eg. Bring It On Home)

  • @bigmarty11288 no Plant for sure did

  • @bigmarty11288 Robert Plant – vocals, harmonica

  • 'I always thought this sounded like a song that should be on Led Zeppelin I.

I'm not sure why' YES,this really sounds.

  • The harmonica solo rules!

  • Blue Eyed Soul on the vocals

  • No please, I appologize guys, it was my fault, Rob's just taking the fall because he's such a nice guy.
