  • you are very lucky to find it now use it sparingly but less once per week to run the garage lights as you are working on ....? whatever

  • I dont Think its military. It would have been Army Green. But I could be wrong. What did you ever find out?

  • @fordwillkillyou did not find out much have not used it this year but did start it up to keep it working

  • note the tecumseh plastic gas tank. :)

  • dont feel bad, i'm trying to reserect an old and for gotten lawson so that it be a back up generater

  • how many watts is it??

  • 1.5 kW

  • do you still have it?

  • yes and used it at the pond to build a new bridge

I also have a 2 cycle homalite fire truck gen. from the 60s

I bought it back in 1993 from some one that was in the fire dept. My step dad says he remembers the same gen. when he was in the F.D. I told him it may be the very same gen he used 30 years ago

  • cool! im going to get a vid of my kohler generator! its huge!

  • Come on, spray up the governor linkage with some WD 40 or PB blaster.

  • not trying to burst your bubble or anything but if that was out of the 40's it would be huge like mine and have a water cooled 4 cyl (no vid yet). yours is kohler powerd which puts it no earlier than the

1960's. still awsome you saved it. kohler light plants are built to last and i will get mine running soon. my grandpa used to use it. nothing wrong with mine!

  • what i ment to say is it is powerd by a kohler air cooled engine. not the liquid cooled 4 cyl it replaced. i hope to show a video of my kohler running sometime
