Sadly, the majority of people in our country(especially young people) are off the bus. Who knows? Maybe it will make a comeback. I guess we can only believe and pray that it does. Shrooms: things just get weird and then back to normal after 6 hours. Things bend and stretch, some color enhancement, almost scary ego death. Lots of yawning and feeling like you need to pee.
Acid: brighter, more lucid, intense colors, very euphoric and stimulating. Can be very exhausting. Nice afterglow that can last up to several days. Lasts 8-12 hours, longer than shrooms.
Mescaline: the best IMO. Textures, geometric shapes, pretty colors, everything seems of mythic significance. 14 hours.
I havnt tripped since the late 90's it was hearts and ahnks blotter then later some purple gel tabs but I just have not been able to find it since then. It fuckin sucks I want to trip damnit. Great series of bids though. Top notch.

@Khobraz C'mon man, that's a blanket statement. I have dropped acid with a couple of people who were not particularly impressed with the results and considered the experience to be of little value. Both of these guys were very intelligent, imaginative, and inquisitive. I really enjoyed my experiences with LSD and other psychedelics but I have not used them in decades and no longer have any desire to do so. Hey, it's just not for everybody -- nothing is.

I think this documentary answers its own question: "Why is LSD illegal." If listening to these people doesn't convince you that LSD is dangerous then you are probably on LSD yourself.
The truth is, you cannot name one good reason why LSD should be illegal. Other than pure hysteria, just like with marijuana and for 14 years during Prohibition, with alcohol. Not one good reason, that cannot be entirely countered with real facts, truth and reality.
The reason why lsd should be legalized is because of the reason why the drug was mass producer to begin with. Im not sure if you have seen the documentaries on youtube but lsd was used on heroin, alcohol, meth addics as treatment for their disease with great success. The people taking lsd would sometimes loose their addiction all together after taking lsd in a controlled environment where a psychologist would talk them through the trip. lsd is a harmless drug if used in the right environment.

LSD is not physically addictive there are no recorded human deaths from LSD Overdose. That does not mean its safe. LSD is a powerful hallucinogen and causes an intense mental altered state. For some people just experiencing this can cause deep psychological upset for years to come. For others it does not and is a positive experience. LSD should be treated with extreme caution. Do some research. The BBC did an excellent documentary on it that can be found here on youtube.
This says that lsd was popularized at harvard. I've heard more accounts that say it was kesey and the merry pranksters who popularized recreational use. I thought Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert did more exclusive research based testing, as opposed to the merry pranksters mass "Acid Tests" which turned the public onto it.

So why point the finger at acid? By the way doing it daily is a waste of time, your system gets used to it and the effect weakens. Once a week is excessive, not because it will do you harm, you'll just get too used to it and the novelty will wear off.
Once a year is a blast. I'm 54 and I really look forward to my annual trip. It's like going on holidays except 1000% better.

Some people don't need psychedelic drugs to expand their minds. These people might be visionaries, Buddhist monks, or simply extremely intelligent.
I do know a few people who do LSD every now and then. I don't want to generalize, but those people were all morons.

The truth is, you cannot name one good reason why LSD should be illegal. Other than pure hysteria, just like with marijuana and for 14 years during Prohibition, with alcohol. Not one good reason, that cannot be entirely countered with real facts, truth and reality.

The reason why lsd should be legalized is because of the reason why the drug was mass producer to begin with. Im not sure if you have seen the documentaries on youtube but lsd was used on heroin, alcohol, meth addics as treatment for their disease with great success. The people taking lsd would sometimes loose their addiction all together after taking lsd in a controlled environment where a psychologist would talk them through the trip. lsd is a harmless drug if used in the right environment.

LSD is not physically addictive there are no recorded human deaths from LSD Overdose. That does not mean its safe. LSD is a powerful hallucinogen and causes an intense mental altered state. For some people just experiencing this can cause deep psychological upset for years to come. For others it does not and is a positive experience. LSD should be treated with extreme caution. Do some research. The BBC did an excellent documentary on it that can be found here on youtube.

This says that lsd was popularized at harvard. I've heard more accounts that say it was kesey and the merry pranksters who popularized recreational use. I thought Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert did more exclusive research based testing, as opposed to the merry pranksters mass "Acid Tests" which turned the public onto it.

Hey Kilcardope! If you do anything to excess on a daily basis it will screw up your life.
So why point the finger at acid? By the way doing it daily is a waste of time, your system gets used to it and the effect weakens. Once a week is excessive, not because it will do you harm, you'll just get too used to it and the novelty will wear off.
Once a year is a blast. I'm 54 and I really look forward to my annual trip. It's like going on holidays except 1000% better.
