@TheGhaniyah there was alot other good fighters in the history of boxing not just tyson & ali...whats about dempsey joe louis whats about smokin joe he knock'd out ali cold man...i think you are just a follower what other people say but really you have no idea about boxing or the history of this sport..you just know the names that everybody knows
@cro1bos yh i love the small fighters tho like tyson and frazier they are small and bulky but elusive and have mean hooks there dead exciting to watch,, especially dempsey he was so explosive with his power and linked up mean combinations !!! ali was exciting but some fights could be boring where he would stay on the outside jabbing
@TheGhaniyah oh yeah i almost forget...i bet everyone of the names that i mentioned would make that you suck their cocks...so do a little more respected the boxers of the history instead of making stupid unsuspecting comments
@JohnLeeMD In a striking match??? Are you fucking retarded Silvas only chance would be to kick Mikes legs out. Go watch a video of Mike shadow boxing at the age of 15, no human could withstand that amount of power and speed...
no doubt... hands down... mike tyson was the meanest most hood fuckin animal on this planet in his prime. i could never really put my head around his level of skill... shit was other worldly... tyson will ALWAYS be my favorite athlete.
He didn't have many. But that was because he was a prodigy with great talent from a young age (very rare), plus, his trainers Kevin Rooney and Cus D'Amato had contact with the higher up's of professional boxing.
@jockeslukarn He won a sh*t ton of amateur fights. I remember hearing in a documentary that Cus didn't want to push Mike into the Pro ranks too quickly, so he let Mike steamroll over opponents in the amateur ranks for a decent amount of time making the jump...
I don't mind if black or white or other skin colour...... I bet Mike Tyson didn't mind... Most important thing... Mike Tyson inspires people to keep up, never give up. Boxing machine. Best fighter ever...
them, like for example if blacks are so dominating in sports why dont they dominate hockey, kick-boxing, MMA, Mui Tai, K-1......., its all about how you train, how determined ypu are, and strategy, there is always a way to beat someone, forget all the race bullshit cause we are all mixed in the end anyway no one is pure. the USSR was the shit in the olympics because if they did not win they would have hell to pay back home, when people dont want to blame themselves they blame genetics.
man race aint got shit to do with it< mike tyson first of all is clearly mixed cause this dude would stand out int africa, you want to see som real black people go there you will see a difference, the majority of blacks in the US are mixed with whites, thats a genetic fact, why blacks are leading in sports is simple, economics, thats thier way of getting out of poverty because schools in black neiborhoods suck, every race has small advantages and disadvantages and it all depends on how you use
@Phaeton998 i believe he is fighting hector mercedes, his first professional fight... look at that body work man... sad how down tyson went after unifying the titles and then losing the fighting spirit... but he did what most of us could not youngest heavyweight champ ever p[eriod!
True Race doesn't decide a skill level, It's determination, fortitude, mental and physical toughness.. sometimes even the best athelete's are narsicistic or even psychopathic, to which they don't even know, and strive to be best as possible.. Psyche does play a big role in ones athletism. and race can play a role along with psychopathic attitude, in mikes case it made him a very scary person to his lesser competitors.. which was almost everyone..
Speedball, which is in your tags is a is a term commonly referring to the hazardous intravenous use of heroin or morphine and cocaine together in the same syringe. The video is brilliant but excuse me, what duh fuck?
True. But he is still not the best fighter. I personally do not think he would last 2 seconds against an individual who masters self defense. Purely because Tyson trained in a sports environment.
Likewise, against a mixed martial artist in terms of sport - i don't think he would stand a chance either. Tyson got his power from consistently coming fowards while weaving/slipping (momentum), thats how he got the power. In MMA this is extremely dangerous because of knees and takedowns
@MrStopinsanity it really would help if you knew what you were talking about mike has beat one of the klitscho brothers to get to lennox and last time i check he stood 6"7 and he beat lennos when they were 17 thats why his corner advised he not to fight mike in his prime if you get stuck on height you'll lose to your opponent everytime skill and height are two different things
@MrStopinsanity You're a morron... let's not forget that lewis avoided mike through his prime time, and first took him on when mike was clearly at an end of his career! mike would have knocked lewis out in the first round if it had been in the 80's, believe that!
@MyThelema Lewis was still an amateur during Mike's explosive early years; remember Lewis fought and won in the 88 Seoul Olympiad. As a young pro, Lewis wouldn't have been offered a shot of Prime Tyson; that's just not how the fight business sells pay per views. Hell, some argue that Tyson lost his edge after marrying Givens, and that was still in the late 80s. Lewis and Tyson were seperated by a couple of years, there was no 'ducking' going on, at least on the part of Lewis.
@777digger777 it doesn't matter how old they were; the notion of a fighter's prime revolves around the time they were most successful, not age. Tyson already had all three titles by 88; Lewis didn't turn pro until after the 88 summer games. While Mike's prime was during his early years, Lewis didn't find the stride that would define his legacy till years later. They may have been in the business around the same time but they didn't compete against each other during their respective primes.
@guysmileytoo Dont you think all his drama outside the ring had negative influence towards his caarer???????? dont u think he would have stayed a champion for a longer time..?????
@MyThelema I agree with you but it is fair to say that despite being very close in age the two peaked at different times which was inevitable considering their styles-Tyson's style was made for a young explosive guy with bags of confidence whilst Lewis was more the patient mature type of fighter.
Would love to have seen a prime Lewis V a Prime Tyson but couldnt happen as by the time Lewis peaked Tyson was past his
So true... Mike in his prime was too dam fast and too dam elusive with incredible power ... His personal life and the loss of his trainers and of course Don King brought him down.... Mike was the best heavyweight EVER even though his window was a small one... IN THAT window though forget about it.... He would a killed Lewis...
i have been studying boxing for years and am a coach and can say mike in his prime would have stopped some of even the all time greats...he was taught how to throw punches from any angle and had power in both hands and his footwork was amazing!
Despite all shit about Mike Tyson's world, every time I see one of his videos I can't contain my emotions and sometimes I think, what a great man with such great feelings that nobody could understand never. BEST BOXER AND GREAT MAN
Mike Tyson was already a street fighting thug, and like 13 stone at the age of 12, he was built for being a powerhouse from the start, so I dont think it was cus' "amazing" training, if anything cus just gave him the odd wise words to discipline him as a father figure, it was john rooney and teddy atlas who made him a great fighter..... and I believe it was the combination of don kings sly cheating ways, and tysons change to islam that brought his career down... :/
@Goldin69 islam or religion of any kind has nothing to do with boxing,he was well past his best after 1990, he turned to islam in 95,but he didnt really understand it, drink drugs women etc , does now clearly but he hated the world in the 90s,its the church of don king that what destroyed him , tyson says he made those calls so he is to blame , sacking his trainer rooney, buster beat him silly a few fights later,he's doing well now lifes good.,people shouldnt be feeling sorry for him.
I HATE Tysons stupid little muslim hat and tattoos .To me those r the things that represent Tysons downfall. When watching a HL video and i see him with his islam-beanie i think 2 myself "why is this in a HL video?" Tysons highlights were all pre-Spinks with Spinks as the very pinnacle.
"a boy comes to me with a spark of interest, i feed the spark and it becomes a flame, i feed the flame, it becomes a fire, i feed the fire and it becomes a roaring blaze" a roaring blaze he was...
If he weren't here I probably wouldn't be alive today. The fact that he is here and doing what he's doing and doing as well as he's doing, improving as he has, gives me the motivation and interest to stay alive. Because I believe a person dies when they no longer want to live, but I have a reason with Mike here, and he gives me the motivation and I will stay alive, and I will watching him become a success, because I will not leave until that happens.
@wakko380 i bet he kicks harder than us all he hase massive leggs most of the time people think boxers cant kick but he can kick way better than whe do tho im a boxer my self i kick Hard and if i fight on the street i kick when i need to
@inforcerer ofc they can kick like everyone else.. but you said they kick really hard.. btw stop talking bullshit, you dont know anything about boxing.. so stfu.. and if you've been boxing for 5 years why do you brag about it?
@wakko380 your absolutley retarded he trains his leggs so much that he can kick harder than the average human look at his legs its double yours or any ordinairy man
@inforcerer haha, do you think you can kick harder because he trains his legs? lol haha, kicking is all about the technique.. please dude... mike trains his condition, he dosent focus on training his legs. and ofc his legs is stronger then usuall.. but dam stop bullshiting.. yo know nothin about boxing you idiot..
@inforcerer funny thing is that you call my grandfather a whore.. :D, haha tough guy.. he would beat you up really bad if you knew who he was. and stop talking bullshit, his legs is strong, but he dosent kick because his not a fucking kick boxer? HIS A BOXER. NOTHING ELSE! So stop lying, and get a life you ugly romanian piece of shit

Put it this way,
1)Lewis wins 3 outta 4 rounds sparring with tyson until tyson quit in the 80's! about 10 years close to tysons prime than lewis's
2) 1996 Tyson gave up his WBC belt to lewis so he didnt have to fight him,
3)and lewis sued his management for $4million cuz lewis was a mandatory defence, holyfield said"he took me as an easier fight"
4)They finally meet and lewis whipps him with an injured hand
5)Lewis's opponents were far better than tysons offically

Mike Tyson was already a street fighting thug, and like 13 stone at the age of 12, he was built for being a powerhouse from the start, so I dont think it was cus' "amazing" training, if anything cus just gave him the odd wise words to discipline him as a father figure, it was john rooney and teddy atlas who made him a great fighter..... and I believe it was the combination of don kings sly cheating ways, and tysons change to islam that brought his career down... :/
Goldin69 7 months ago
