  • Geen vergelijking mogelijk met Elvis Presley. Elvis is uniek en kan niet geëvenaard worden in de muziekwereld.

  • Ha ha ha ha .. is this a joke? The worst version to date

  • Elvis didn't write this song. It was written by Otis Blackwell in 1956 and covered by Presley in '57 (one of many to cover it, actually, along with McCartney, Billy Joel and Cliff Richard).

  • Nobody sings it like The King

  • @nigelbruce232 If elvis is king then Paul is God of the universe!

  • @Jakewilliamfew Really ? Elvis Top 40 Hits ......114 The Beatles Top 40 Hits ......56

“It was Elvis who really got me hooked on beat music. When I heard "Heartbreak Hotel" I thought, this is it”

    Paul McCartney

“Nothing really affected me until Elvis.” John Lennon

Everybody knows Elvis was a huge influence on the McCartney and Lennon.

  • @Jakewilliamfew "Nothing really affected me until I heard Elvis. If there hadn't been an Elvis, there wouldn't have been the Beatles." John Lennon

" None of us could have made it without Elvis." Buddy Holly

"Elvis is the greatest blues singer in the world today." Joe Cocker

"He was an integrator, Elvis was a blessing. They wouldn't let black music through. He opened the door for black music." Little Richard

It seems the greatest artists ever credit Elvis bringing rock to the world.

  • Can someone confirm if that is David Gilmore on Paul's left

  • @navenab64 Yes. It's Gilmour

  • @navenab64 yes it is indeed, and Ian Paice on the drums!

  • 5 people are totally deaf

  • a beatle paying homage to the king of rock and roll it doesn't get any better than that

  • Rock n roll Rocks.

  • Paul is better than Elvis, my opinion.

  • billy joel sings this better

  • 5 people never shake up..

  • ELVIS N1 DESDE EL 50 QUE HACE MUSICA LUEGO DESPUES VINIERON LOS BEATTLES

  • <3 makes me sooooo happeh!

  • The best singer live is Paul

The best singer of all times is Elvis

  • ELVIS IS THE KING

  • Everyone died that night of ovary complications.

  • that guy can sing anything he wants too! he could even make Barney music sound good!

  • Paul MCCartney absolutely love Elvis Presley and it show when you listen to this The whole beatles band love him John Lennon dream was to be Elvis.

  • the older I get the more I like Elvis, everybody else was just tryin'......

  • He loved elvis.

  • hes good..but hes no elvis.

  • Paul McCartney is coming out with a pop-song cover album AND a more rock-ish album as well, I heard. that's AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic! Love this man! :)

  • I don't want to be a hater or anything, but I still think Elvis sung this a lot better...

  • @L1LpRiNc3sSsAkUrA I think Paul rocked it a little too hard. If he sang it like Elvis did, he could have done just as well. But yes, this version has nothing on Elvis.

  • It's Gilmour at the left.

  • @tbag010 Who's the bass player?

  • @tbag010 Who's the other guitar player?

  • @jatpeel It looks like David Gilmore on Paul's left.

  • @jatpeel it's Pink Floyd's guitar player, David Gilmour

  • either im going crazy, or i can see david gilmour playing?

  • @charliegray12212 Yeah, surprisingly repetitive and simple. I know you don't need to be flashy with a classic like this, but to do the same thing throughout the whole progression was a bit disappointing.

  • @charliegray12212 yes there he is.and ian paice (deep purple) in drums

  • Easily the most youthful and energetic of the classic rockers still around today.

  • @Veggieman87 I'd have to agree that he is one of the most youthful and energetic, but I've always considered the man in the number one position to be Mickjagger... Though I do prefer more of Pauls music!

  • I think I just came all over my screen... Paul singing Elvis?! Fucking awesome!

  • lol oyu scared the crap out of me for a second there xD

  • @GarryHarriman It's the Beatles and everything went amazing for them. The Beatles are legends and they changed rock and roll forever. You should go and listen to the song "And your bird can sing". It's a really good song written and composed by the beatles. (It's also my favorite song :3). And in this video Paul's not ripping anyrhing from anyone. Elvis didn't even write his own songs for heavens sakes!

  • @GarryHarriman the beatles

  • My god. He doesn't even have to try.

  • hey thast Gilmour...WOW!

  • @GarryHarriman Elvis didn't write most of his own music anyway :L

  • all hail rocknroll

  • 1 PERSON HAS NOT BEEN SHOOK UP BY ROCK N' ROLL YET

  • @darthjavader in case you havnt heared youtubes tired of these comments

  • @CountCane1994 So what, I am not....

  • Elvis is dead. I know Paul still lives.

  • He's dead so he can't

  • Paul could do this song a hundred different ways, here he picked a hard take, I like it softer and have heard him do it. Still any tribute to the King by a Beatle has to be counted as good.

  • Comment removed

  • Paul nunca dejo sus raices del rocanrol. amaba a Elvis creció con el, por eso canta todas sus canciones en su gran estilo. Elvis esta en su tumba, feliz porque el estaría haciendo lo mismo

  • Brutalmente extraordinario.

  • "Shook Up"? He shakes it up! He's got the King Thang for sure.

  • DAVID GILMOUR?

  • I like Paul McCartney but he ruined this song.

  • @scatback105 GET A COFFIN DUDE!!!! AND A LIFE TOO..CAUSE THEY WERE THE STUPID BRAINWASHING BAND OBEEYING TO GOVS AND NEVER SUPPORTING THE REVOLUTION OF DEEP OF DEEP PURLE BLACK SABBATH AND MANY MANY MORE BANDS..ALSO OCCUSED JIMI HENDRIX ON SOME OF THEIR STUPID INTERVIEWS...AS A GOOD MAMA'S BOYS CKIN A/HOLES

  • ONE IDIOT KILLING A GREAT SONG..PUPPETS OF THE MEDIA .. WHEN THE OTHER WERE REVOLUTIONING THOSE CRAPS WERE SUCKING THE MEDIAS FOR REPUTATION !!!!!!! ALLA GODS THEN WERE CRITISED..DEPP PURLE BLACK SABBATH , JEFFERSONS AIROPLANE AND MANY MANY MORE !!!!!!!

  • @antroscliff This is a cover, the point is the cover the song, not exact, but with his/her/they're own expression. Get a GRIP man!!

  • This is David Gilmour?

  • Imagine when Elvis and the Beatles met .

  • @jeffkodiac Mick Green, doing guitars for Mecca in this vid, came close to being the guitar player for Elvis as legend has it only his tour manager didn't let him know Elvis wanted him in the group till he was back in the UK. I'd had been just a tad pissed off if that was me.

  • @richasherman

I 'm agree with you it's sad for him and also a little bit for Elvis because he was a great guitarist i think .

  • whew...Ian Paice of deep purple band on the drums....fantastic jam...

  • what a band !! but the real guitar star was the other guy NOT Dave Gilmour - Mr Mick Green sadly RIP formerly with Johnny Kidd and the Pirates (check him out!!) Yet another great guitar player gone to join God's Great Gig in the Sky -sadly the list gets longer and longer. I play this song with my band Legacy round the clubs and pubs of Wiltshire and it always goes down a storm.

  • @mrbassman101 Yep do a youtube search for "McCartney's Tribute to Mick Green"

  • hmm....the one person that dislikes this must be justin bieber

  • Macca can employ Gilmour as a guitarist! Haha

  • I once was the leadsinger of a traditionel rock´n´roll band.

We did severel rock´n´roll songs close the original versions...

But all Shook up..we choose to do in this version course it´s more rockin!!

  • They're almost equal good.

  • The Beatles were not vital for Elvis existence.

ELVIS was vital for the Beatles existence. That is a fact.

  • Their stuff remind nothing of each other.

  • Long Live The KING ELVIS, Long Live The BEATLES. LONG LIVE ROCK' N' ROLL.

  • rock and roll will never die

  • @Classic2009Rock Hey Hey, My My

  • @Classic2009Rock of course it won't dude... Rock N Roll for life...

  • I love how they just do the song for the pure joy of it; just like a good old bar band instead of like an Elvis impersonator trying to get everything exact and doing the old "show and tell" routine of,"Look! I'm Elvis!"

  • Elvis version is much better!

  • @Nilde693 Somebody always has to say"Elvis version is better"

  • @gbmaccafan well, it was. Elvis did Beatle songs in concert and the Beatles versions were better. Me, I love Elvis and I love the Beatles - you can like both you know.

  • Paul doing all shook up!

  • Elvis respected the Beatles but they idolized the King.

  • The post menauposal old English lady can screech all she wants, she would never come close to the king.

  • anyone know what album this is on, that's if it's actually on an album...

  • @lees2oo8 it's on the CD "Run Devil Run".

  • Is that David Gilmour???????

  • genial fantastico amo a elvis i paul i a los beatles XD love it

  • That's a helluva band. I love the Beatles and Elvis but people get into this "one is good and the other is crap" bull. Truth is, the Beatles idolized Elvis, as did most in those days and did his songs well into their careers. Elvis recorded and performed many Beatles songs, and talks about him during his '68 comeback. See, they respected each other immensely - the two greatest influences and biggest stars of our time,

  • elvis and paul my 2 loves

  • That is Gilmour. Ian Paice (of Deep Purple) was drumming. The credits are at the end. Pink Floyd used to record at Abbey Road Studios back in the day.

  • i know I'm wrong but the guitarist kinda looks like David Gilmour.

  • shoulda been DM on drums

  • I like this version. Nicely done!

  • LOVE everything paul sings!

  • @tristaleebeatles LOve everything paul does

  • pauls was more hard rock then i like it better

  • why should we check out the band?

  • @macyjrey Well, I guess because they're legends: On lead guitar : David Gilmore from Pink Floyd, Ian Paice from Deep Purple on drums and Mick Green from Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas on rhythm guitar plus McCartney on bass Something really big

  • @22LuisEHR oh... I didn't realize that. Then thats really cool!

  • elvis was better

  • @ab1234555 Sure. But this is just a bunch of very talented guys having fun and paying tribute to someone they loved. And this version of the song is pretty good.

  • what show is this, and have other combos been put together like this? I can't get enough of this video.

  • by golly he still got it

  • Not Lynne on drums, but Paice from Deep Purple!

  • paul and david, 2 timeless individuals. what a great video. thank-you.

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • jeff lynne is on the drums?

  • Wots a fuzzy tree?

  • @jpjames1 he was referring to poison ivy, which isn't "fuzzy" itself but causes itching and a fuzzy feeling on your skin, thats what he said years later, anyway.

  • is that David Gilmour in this video?

  • yes it is! awsome!

  • @mish12389 yep

  • OMG Paul! You are so great!

  • rock&roll 4ever!

  • what's with the band kwinter08?? I don't get it...sorry

  • This is really rock and roll

    the other was poof.

  • david gilmour on geeetar?

  • I love this version of the song! I also love Elvis' original, but Paul always HAS done a truly amazing job in Rock and Roll classics like this one, and, of course, in his own Rock and Roll gems like "I Saw Her Standing There," and "I'm Down," not to mention "Hi hi hi" and others.

  • paul can sing, write, play all the instruments say no more

  • I meant out do ELVIS he is trying to educate the public. Look up ELVIS PRESLEY on the internet and see what an outstanding person he was.

  • Paul is not trying to do the ELVIS his is trying to educate the masses!

  • DrRoberts66: The McCartnry version is better than the version of Elvis?

    That´s a good joke!

Look at the 68 comeback special. McCartney isn´t even half as charismatic as "The King" and is voice is not even half as good as the voice of Elvis.

McCartney has other qualities such as songwriting and so on.......

  • Ever heard of the word 'subjective'? By charismatic do you mean forgetting whole sections of songs and breaking out into inane laughter instead as the bloated joke that used to be Elvis Presley did during his Vegas shows?

  • I love the Elvis version but this is so much better! It's far more aggressive than Elvis's original - real rock and roll. It also shows how truly awful Elvis was in some of his Las Vegas appearances when he turned his classic 50s hits into plodding show tunes

  • sorry paul but you can't beat elvis

  • he`s rock and roll...

    thanks Paul

  • .. and Mr Ian Paice on the drums???

  • great cover!

  • Man, I love me some Paul. :D

  • Awesome!

  • David Gilmour too, wow, amazing

  • elvis's was wesome! but i like this one better

  • of all the videos on youtube, this has to be one of my favorites !

  • Ahh Pauly my lovely Pauly, is so modern¡¡¡

  • How i wish those who post text comments would follow their idols.

Follow the fine example set by gnegoljebgf,

martinman87, ultimemusicfreak, FabFM and many others.

  • Good cover. I like the tangy guitar added to it. Covers tend not to be as good as the original but this is still noteworthy for sure.

  • @ultimemusicfreak it's played cavern style.. I don't like it so much. I like the original best

  • @elzorro1975 I agree it is isnt as good as the original gotta love presley!

  • @ultimemusicfreak wanna know? I think carl perkins' version is absolutely the best. now kill me.

  • I think those tree were awesome. because there is not easy to play the music of somebody else. and on this version paul did great. see how Elvis plays Beatlles music. and you will see that was not easy for him too.

  • @jlejra I'm not telling paul did not great. I said in this video the song is played in the style of the "Cavern" days, and I don't like it so much. I think this song sounds best in the Carl Perkins' version: straight, pure rock n' roll. To me, it's not to be played as a Little Richard hit. I like that style too, but not on this song. And I don't like so much Elvis' version too, although I'm a fan of him.

  • Elvis Presley's .'All shook up' was #1 on Billboard Top 20 Pop Singles,Top 20 Country Singles and Top 20 R&B Singles.

  • So was Jailhouse Rock!

  • One of the great Rock "N" Roll songs. Guaranteed to get a party boppin`.

Elvis of course, did the superb original back in `57....which became his first UK number one hit. Another cool rendition was performed by Susie Quatro. Rock on.

  • I love hearing Elvis do Beatles stuff and Beatles do Elvis stuff, they were both so great. Paul McCartney and all of them deserve major respect.

  • I agree. Both Elvis and The Beatles deserve equal respect. They are the two acts that changed the world more than any other and we may never see another act rival their achievements. I love how the beatles always credited Presley as their biggest influence and how Presley confessed to being a fan of the fab fours music!

  • @FabFM AMEN!

  • @FabFM

Yeah, but then Elvis turned into an ass and tried to get the Beatles kicked out of the country.

  • @giligara30492 they was hippies and they said they was bigger than jesus, and not only elvis but a lot of americans wanted them to leave. i was around then i remember

  • @mdz255 if you were around then, you'd know that it was just john that said that, not all them.

  • Beatles, do I find boring.

  • @hejhejhejhej287 and what are you doing watching this videos?? besides, who are you, yoiu are nothing,,,

  • I was in the audience and was the one cheering with the loud voice. It was Brilliant show and will never forget it . Thanks for posting .

  • go on Macca!

  • I love this song, and I luv Elvis and Paul McCartney! :]

  • The incredible spirit of happiness and beat of positive luv vibes is catch to the tv audience -as teached by The King Elvis' since the orginal version, Macca's great in his effort to reach the excitement n the second line repeating "Scares me to the Death...."!, just after Linda's passed away first Macca performance... I saw his picture in Paris recently attending a fashion exhibition of his daughter and I look 20 years older than Macca, rock for ages forever! (B-p)

  • love it

  • yeah...ck ck ck it out!!! wooohooo That man is a real gone cool cat dadio!~lol

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah! This band sounds terrific, it scares me to death I'm All Shook Up, gracias!!!

  • Great! Thanks from Russia!

  • the best genius worldwide

  • is that dave gilmour on guitar??!!

  • Yes it is, Dave Gilmour was on the "Run Devil Run" CD

  • This is the song from which the Beatles took the yeah yeah....

  • What a voice. You have to love it. :-)

  • paul mccartney is great
