My favourite kind of beer (but certainly not the only one I'd drink) is a strong and hearty stout. Torgauer Ritter FTW! A kind of beer that I don't like at all though is wheat beer; tastes like dishwater to me. The only other country I know of that produces beer that can actually compete with German brews is Ireland. Kudos to Guiness and Kilkenny! ;)

Die haben 2009 ein neues Album rausgebracht das wie das Album davor auch auf Platz 1 der deutschen Albumcharts einstieg und insgesamt 47 Wochen in den Top 100 blieb. Doppelplatin gekriegt. Und das trotz Indizierung. Don't get me wrong, as a German, I like my German beer, but Germany has lost a lot of its uniqueness over the last decades, when it comes to beer brewing. The vast majority of Germans drink Pilsener, nothing else. From bitter northern style pilsener to the milder ones from the south. Today it's more like a beer-monoculture here. People used to drink a wider variety of beer styles in the past. I like my Dortmunder Export, sometimes Pilsener, but I also fancy a nice pint of Guinness occasionally

Die Brauereien biedern sich immer mehr dem Massenmarkt an und einige wenige Großbrauereien dominieren leider den Markt. Da kann man nichts machen. Ich wünsche mir die Vielfalt früherer Zeiten auch zurück, aber das Rad der Zeit wird man nicht zurückdrehen können.

Und Lokalpatriotismus geht mir beim Bier ziemlich am Anus vorbei, entweder schmeckt das Bier, oder eben nicht.

Da gebe ich dir recht, in Bayern trinkt man kein Pils. Das habe ich falsch formuliert. Dennoch, je weiter man in den Süden kommt, desto weniger herb sind die Biersorten in der Regel. Die norddeutschen Biere wie Flensburger bekomme ich auch nicht durch den Hals.

I am not from middle east and compare to typical middle easterners most other cultures who consumes alcohol on regular basis (meaning a few bottles of beer per week) are amazingly less sharp. That means other asians, eu, americas.

I did not know that until I met a few of them. You can try it too try too have some friendly relationship with some middle easterners who is do not drink beer and whose culture do not consume either.

No offense to the local culture but I think beer is still very alcoholic toxic kind of drink. If I get cold or caugh I drink 2 bottles of beer and my caugh easily heals. See for non drinking adults how strong bio-chemical impact regular beer does.

I know some people from non beer and alcohol drinking culture and their behavorial reaction is extremely sharp and healthier than beer consuming culture. Again not offense just a factual comparison.
