After looking at a couple other videos I figured out what the problem was. Everyone was to stupid to understand the movie, lol.
The aliens used Human brains to keep themselves alive. We only use 5% of our brain everyday. Well, the aliens, seeing how crazy strong they are, use 100% of our brain. Our brain is very powerful afterall. Thus the instant recovery and gravity denial and super tough skin.
@JingTheKingOfBandits The aliens were more than likely dying out, so they were hopping form planet to planet looking for a new source of power to keep them alive. They find our planet, and start sucking it dry. And to prove their "dying out" theory, I believe the aliens were only hitting that city and that city alone. I mean, why would the entire army still be up and at it while everyone else just happened to disappear so easily? So, over the seas was safe. To bad they never made it.

I'll admit, directors are partially at fault for not realizing how stupid America is.

The light controlled your muscles and forced you to walk outside. HE learned to control his muscles and it made him stronger.

This ruined the movie completely. It was going great, and then this happened. It feels like they suddenly realized that they ran out of budget and had 5 minutes to end the movie. Personally. I thought the ending was so bad ass. Because not only did he get an alien body, gaining the capability to kick everyones ass; but he now can save his family, and probably take over a ship (if their lucky).
This movie kinda reminded me of Deadspace, or a Bioshock kind of story.
My only disappointment, was the fact the aliens had no weakness. I mean, it would have been really epic if they couldn't go near water or something (such was my suspicion at the beginning). But thats just me:)

District 9 kind of had that premise, but he was fighting human and it was more of a character study and a philosphical movie.
Look, I watched this movie and here is my .02 cents.
The move was somewhat slow at the beginning, but that's fine because you know shit happens and not everyone can have 50million dollars to spend on a movie. Anyways, I thought that the acting was well done and the effects were beautiful. My only complain is that my heart started raising at the very end of the movie when *SPOILER ALERT* the guy is turned into a biomech being (with his brain) and saves his gf and baby from the aliens.

You know...the one where the aliens come down, snatch humans, and if you don't stop them before they reach the top of the screen, the humans turn into super aliens you have to kill.
In my honest opinion I thought this movie was very good. Considering they had a $500,000 budget on the actual filming and the rest was spent on Hydraulx, I think they did an excellent job. They shot most of the movie in a condo one of the crew lived in. And considering Sony themselves couldn't tell the difference between these effects and the effects on Battle: LA, if any of you says Battle: LA is good; it just goes to show how insignificant your opinion is.
Well everyone should know now...from now on the Strause brothers idk if thats spelled correctly can never direct a good movie as this is there failure again at another movie...anyone remember that piece o shit movie avp requiem??? @JingTheKingOfBandits The aliens were small in number when they very first showed up. Very small. Hence the nothing but lights showing up at first.
But after gaining all those brains, they grew and grew and eventually got a whole army down in the city.
As for the babies. They were clearly going to cut out the baby, preserve it, and use it when it fully matured.
The main character built up an immunity seeing the light so many times and learned to control it. Well, you know the rest. I hope...

i dont hate this movie but i dnt lyk it either. i wouldnt buy it. but i just wish they remake it. i saw potential but they just wanted to cut to the chase. feel me? this credit part was so badass somehow. better than the whole movie. i dint feel like i cared for a character. i wanted too tho but just cudnt. the army was weak yo. lol come on u gotta agree. i laughed so hard when the guy was sniping missin evry shot n jus got knocked the fuck down. id prefer the whole film to be FX like the end.

Personally. I thought the ending was so bad ass. Because not only did he get an alien body, gaining the capability to kick everyones ass; but he now can save his family, and probably take over a ship (if their lucky).
This movie kinda reminded me of Deadspace, or a Bioshock kind of story.
My only disappointment, was the fact the aliens had no weakness. I mean, it would have been really epic if they couldn't go near water or something (such was my suspicion at the beginning). But thats just me:)

@mac19971 There is just something so heroic and raw about becoming one of "them" and protecting your family and kicking their ass. I am not sure if that has been done before in a movie. District 9 kind of had that premise, but he was fighting human and it was more of a character study and a philosphical movie.

Look, I watched this movie and here is my .02 cents.
The move was somewhat slow at the beginning, but that's fine because you know shit happens and not everyone can have 50million dollars to spend on a movie. Anyways, I thought that the acting was well done and the effects were beautiful. My only complain is that my heart started raising at the very end of the movie when *SPOILER ALERT* the guy is turned into a biomech being (with his brain) and saves his gf and baby from the aliens.

In my honest opinion I thought this movie was very good. Considering they had a $500,000 budget on the actual filming and the rest was spent on Hydraulx, I think they did an excellent job. They shot most of the movie in a condo one of the crew lived in. And considering Sony themselves couldn't tell the difference between these effects and the effects on Battle: LA, if any of you says Battle: LA is good; it just goes to show how insignificant your opinion is.

Sadly the truth is you only know how bad a film is based on its sequel, the first one is all about the hype the second one runs on how good or in this case how bad the first one was.
