I just have to say, this is quite impressive. I really like that you understood the concept of the song, and portrayed it so wonderfully. You did really well shooting this, considering what you had available. Just ignore the assholes making rude comments. Just delete them, and keep making videos.
@Bananakins Hey, thanks! I really appreciate your support, and I'm glad you enjoyed it despite the quality. Shooting between classes or whenever anyone was free is a fond memory hahaha!
@n0isee I know what that's like. I've been there before myself, so I know how important it is to get positive feedback, and especially how important it is to tune out all the negativity. If it's something that you enjoy, pursue it! :) Best of luck, and I'll keep my eyes peeled for more of your work.
AHHHHH! I cried silently when you threw all of their personal belongings on the floor. It's a restroom! I find it so cute thinking of how you got yours friends to act along with it.
Thanks! And yeah, it's quite amateur, lol. As for fixing it, I'd rather just receive tips and critque on what could have been done better for the future. This video's ship has sailed, yeah.
When will feminists realize that having babies & staying at home to raise them is literally one of the building blocks of all successful human society. This random illogical emotional idea that women are not equal unless they act like men is destroying the essential part of society. My mother has 5 boys that love her & make her proud. She has contributed immensely to society & is an amazing artist. She stayed home to raise us & it was as hard as my dads job that made him lots of money.
I disagree with a lot of the things feminists say, okay? Since I think that a lot of what they push for isn't equality but special status.
This song, and this video, I believe, isn't about disparaging housewives and mothers. I take it as not saying that being a homemaker is a bad thing, but saying that it's only one path available to women, which sometimes needs to be reiterated. The message is not to let yourself be chained to stereotypical roles.
Who the hell are you to decide that a video or song is clearly entirely about 1 thing? Do you know the mind of the artist? Are you telepathic? The point I make is that the messages are subliminal because they can't gain a foothold through logical argument & decision making out in the open. Homemaker should be the role of women who decide to have children because that's the best way to guarantee that they don't end up unemployed welfare bums or worse criminals because they're mom wanted a career.
So you're saying that women can't choose a life of following their dreams and be a contributing member of society.
Not everyone has goals to be housewives. Obviously there are a lot of women who think life is just procreation and caregiving, and thats great for them. As long as they're happy. But to knockdown feminists because they're different? Women and men can both be completely useless or completely useful. In the workplace and at home. I hope you dont push all the child work on your wife
That was really cool. I love this song, especially after starting a women studies major it makes so much more sense to me now. Great job, I especially like the head shaking
I'm sooo sorry! I seriously a part written out for the solo, too, but we didn't have the resources or manpower to play it out. I also feel a little pang whenever I watch this past the cut... I'm sorry it killed it for you D: I'm glad you thought the video was decent, though, thanks.
I can't believe you used Windows Movie Maker for this. Just that aspect alone deserves a "you rock!" Was this your first video?
Just an FYI. I don't know about your community specifically but where I'm from (St Louis) our community public access television station is a great place to get training and borrow all their cool gear in exchange for helping out. It's also a great place to get your stuff on TV if you care about that. Again, good luck and I can't wait to see more.
Y'know, thanks for the tip. I should really look into the public TV station... I never thought about that. I only, like, thought about asking the teachers for the cameras and stuff. Your idea's so much cooler.
Hey, let me know if there's anything I can do for you. Also check out the toronto film school. They have some great stuff on here. I don't know where you live but if you're close I'm sure they have programs for HS students too.
I'll look into that... There was a program here before, but it was expensive- Apparently, though, it was really cheap, considering the usual fare, but I still couldn't afford it. >.> I'll get a JOB :D

I really liked the concept. Good video all-around, but the edit needs a bit more polishing.

I. Cannot. Believe.
That you cut out the solo.
I don't even know why it made me that angry.
But it did.
Decent video however.
But for real. That totally killed it for me. That's the high point of the song.
