the 3DS is either going to use parallax barriers or lenticular lens to create the 3D effect. nothing incredibly new, but not very highly implemented. It is true that you don't need 3D glasses though. the reason many people don't use it in tv's is you need to be at a certain angle to see the 3d, this is no problem for a hendheld however I still have my old gray DS as well, and this will be the first time I am upgrading since. Im telling you now, it will be great!
