  • the bass is so f-n sick

  • motherfucking danny walker...

  • this video is trippy as fuck.

  • these guys suck

  • @Xossly Nope, sir. They don't suck. They rock. They played with bands like Tool. And they definitely deserved it.

  • Wow, these guys are not my cup of tea at all, the muscianship is stellar no doubt...but the fucking vocals are a horror show for me....and comparing them to Isis???? You can,'t....it;s like comparing NIN to Razed in Black...fuck that.

  • These guys were easily the best American opener for Tool since Isis. I'd go so far as to say I like them a lot more even.

  • cant wait until tomorrow

  • I suppose it's a band, that tries hard, that their intros are awesome :D

  • I'd put them in the same category as Meshuggah. Grinding guitar riffs, tempo changes...very similar. Good shit, can't wait to see them open up for tool!

  • Stop making suggestions to bands. It's their vision of their music, not yours.

  • cooooooool

  • this is why i listen to metal

  • Get a singer.

  • @vettu fuck you

  • @vettu singers belong on the radio....and on the bravo channel

  • @maalox92182 Really? I did not know.

  • @vettu

Oh piss off. You're listening to the wrong type of music if you want some catchy vocal hooks. Close minded asshole.

  • Soooooooooooooooooooooooo Tool-ish

  • Perfect and imperfect in every way

  • The slow chugging parts just add a different dimension to the track. It cant be sweeps and taps all the time.

  • That base is sick...like the hum of the machine grinding away!

  • I'm a bassist. I fucking love the low growl of the bass distortion at the end

  • bad intro...NAUT!

  • This band is progressing amazingly. Valley of Smoke is such a great improvement songwriting wise. I cannot wait to see what this band comes up with in the future.

  • by the time the song ended, I could pronounce the title

  • I agree with Kittehsaurify. It would be better without the slow chugging parts. They have musical skill and parts like that just take away.

  • saw them last night...was pretty amazing

  • Seeing them tonight with A Storm of Light and Ghost Brigade, just know it's going to be an amazing gig.

  • @Apsalar84 White Rabbit? YES <3

  • These guys were amazing when they played at The Rock in Denmark last sunday, with A Storm Of Light and the mighty Ghost Brigade :) that day Intonaut got a new fan

  • Would be a million times better without the slow chugging parts.

  • were can i download this so i can use it for my personal marihuana smoking time?

  • video's fucking incredible

  • 2:11 Bridge is AMAZING!!!

  • I thought if Tool when this video first aired. Not musically,of course, but artistically.

  • @RealityXXVII Sera Timms did the video for Parabol/Parabola I think. I know she did a video for tool, I just can't remember the song, and any documentation of that has disappeared from the internet, apparently

Also she did the video for Not in Rivers, But in Drops by ISIS, which is a killer tune from a killer band that you would probably like if this is up your alley.

  • Intronaut is Life.

  • Australopithecus would really have been sick of us debating how we're here, the're catching deer (we're catching viruses!)lol

  • These guys along with Animals as Leaders was awesome.

  • @grendelsbeard i wished these two bands would also tour together in europe. instead intronaut perform with ghost brigade and a storm of light. i dont know many songs by these two bands but i didnt like the few songs i heard of both of them.

at least aal perform with between the buried and me. i like their music much more than the songs i heard of intronauts supports. a shame that intronaut is actually support for the other two bands :/

  • I don't know why this band feels the need to put cliche chug parts in the midst of all this really fresh and creative music. (0:50 and 3:20).

  • @Jazzguitar00 I have to agree that they don't really fit. However, sections like that can be a great way to contrast the primary themes, but the cliche crappy chug-a-lug breakdown-esque phrases are just kinda stale and lack the dissonant heaviness that can make those bits great. After all, if you're gonna contrast like that you may as well go all out instead of doing something kind of old hat.

  • @Jazzguitar00 Because those parts are fun to play and sound good.

  • is sad this band would be huge if they have a different singer their music is just awesome too good to be true

  • that bass guitar is soundin so fluid !

  • It's not often one gets to see a decent metal video these days. This is a rare exception

  • i cant stop listening to this song.

  • Well I thought I'd check out all the other bands I'll be seeing with Animals As Leaders next sunday in Covington, but I wasnt expecting to find this. Intronaut is blowing my mind. Why I've never heard them sooner, I'll never know. But I'm glad I did some research. Now I cant wait for the show.

  • This video is like Tool on steroids.

  • @andrewmassacre1 sorry dude not even close... theres no comparison... only attempts of recreation..

  • the bass is so fucking epic.

finally there is a band, playing this kind of music, where you can here the bass

  • i saw these kats open up for cynic..dope show

  • Joe Lester is da mannnn

  • This is not progressive, does not even have a solid harmony. this is just insane. lol

  • @ElMabrak666

    Sounds very progressive to me.

  • anyone know what gear the bassist is using?

  • did his soul leave his body into the doll?

  • DAT. FUCKING. BASS.

  • Awesome

saw them live a few days ago

dave asked if there is someone in the crowd whos selling mariuhana xD

  • @nilspferd11 , legalize it !

  • I'll see them in Zagreb on 9.6. with the ocean, earthship and red fang. awesome lineup

  • @vucjipastir

yes, will be great.. saw them all together yesterday.. absolutely worth it! enjoy!

  • Intronaut and The Ocean, Usa tour in the near future perhaps

  • @furysdrummer oh that would be fucking awesome, i love both The Ocean and Intronaut \,,/

  • Nothing's better than metal where you can actually hear the bass guitar!

  • @Jdcie obscura, prigin, beyond creation

  • @rohanpogi Obscura especially with the fretless. I also like how Intronaut used the double bass in this song

  • @Jdcie Check out Obscura's first album, Cosmogenesis, if you haven't already.

  • @grandolddrummer Second

  • These guys, Animals as Leaders and Dead Letter Circus will be touring together. Awesome.

  • @RandomJackOfDoom and Last Chance to Reason \m/

  • @RandomJackOfDoom Hell yeah, My bands playing a show with them july 8th :D

  • @RandomJackOfDoom it would have been awesum if cylamen was their too. :/

  • @RandomJackOfDoom Evan Brewer, who recently joined The Faceless, is also on that bill playing songs from his solo bass album. I definitely recommend checking him out if your a fan of Animals As Leaders

  • @RandomJackOfDoom saw them all last night!!!!!

  • @RandomJackOfDoom indeed it was (in hollywood)

  • @RandomJackOfDoom yeah, and they FUCKING SUCK live. saw them last night. shit stain sandwich was what it was.

  • @ACDCwarmachine i saw them in atlanta and they were amazing

  • @RandomJackOfDoom I went to their show in Nashville! SO AMAZING! Definitely one of the best I've ever been to.

  • @EatFireMC I was at Nashville, too. So sick. I think I about died when Tosin Abasi came out, though.

  • @RandomJackOfDoom Where?? When??

  • INSTRUMENTFULL METAL, whatever metal, allmetal.

  • The Ocean, Intronaut and BTBAM are greatest bands ever

  • The video does not match their sound. Looks like Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste, imo.

  • Intronaut and Mastodon are some of the coolest bands i've ever heard

  • @swallowmyeggnog Have a listen to Chimp Spanner's "Bad Code" or The Ocean's "Calymmian".

  • tell me bout bizarre

  • australopithecus kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • dat bass

  • Valley of Smoke is worth checking out as well but Prehistoricisms is a fucking masterpiece.

  • @NoahTheSon I agree, Valley of Smoke is top notch but there is something about Prehistoricisms that just hasn't been topped yet..

  • Interesting video. Nonetheless, I always enjoy their music.

  • Like the music a LOT, it's like crazy old New York noise rock meets Voivod / Watchtower prog metal - Couldn't think of a better mix of extreme musics. I'm too old for the angry guy vocals, though. I just think "Yelling won't change it, dude!" lol...

  • Kinda reminds me of Irepress. Only with awesome fucking vocals.

  • Sick bass lines

  • what the fuck...

  • A little jumpy and difficult to hear the rhythm during the heavy chord parts, but interesting.

  • Vid scares the shit out of me each time I see it...in a good way

  • nice musik, i came here to find something like btam

  • @chester10777

between the buried and me? kinda.

  • This song is a breath of fresh air. I need to check out their other stuff. Mind-blowing video too.

  • I don't care who they sound like a mixture of, their awesome.

  • I've never heard of these guys, pretty damn badass though

  • Mastodon influence??!!! are you kidding me? obviously you dont know your music timeline son...tsk tsk..what a shame.goodday.

  • @vaderpelican

    Mastodon-1999

    Intronaut-2004

  • definitely mastodon influenced. Nice originality, though.

  • This song reminds me of old Mastodon and East of the Wall.

  • Creepy video.... I love it.

  • så jäkla bra

  • i do not think intronaut sound anything like mastodon. i guess people say that because the drummer does a lot of fills and odd beats. the bass player plays fretless bass, does that mean they sound like primus? strange how people have to relate music to music they know...

  • @frylocdub Or when they brag about liking a band they like that did it first and half the time they didn't X D

  • @frylocdub They sound even more like Meshuggah than Mastodon. Nothing at all like Mastodon. They also sound like the Dutch progressive band Textures

  • @jossy2112 i don't think they sound like meshuggah even more then mastodon... intronaut have very melodic and textural guitar parts compared to meshugga's odd time but mostly heavy distortion tones. the new stuff from intronaut even features melodic singing. something that put it even further away from meshuggah.

  • 5 pounds of isis

    25 of gojira

    15 of mastodon

    40' oven=intronaut

  • gotta love that bass

  • just found this band - amazing!!!

  • i like this song so much i'm gonna comment again. AMAZING BAND

  • sooo goooooood

  • Actually most of their songs have a lot more clean vocals than growling, this is probably the heaviest song I've heard by them.

  • @BoneslyGrifter Pretty much only their newest album "Valley of Smoke" has clean vocals. "Null," "Void," "The Challenger," and "Prehistoricisms" have growling. It's all good shit though.

  • @plainroaming Yeh only the new album!

  • am I the only person who cant pronounce the name?

  • video is very tool

  • @brainsplat247 ... exactly what I was thinking... Maynard would be proud

  • @brainsplat247 yea knda tool.. ^^ good rhyt too.. reminds me of mastodon...

  • intronaut fans, check that !

    innerty - enter the void

  • I would love it more if they would sing. I love Ihsahn, because he sings AND does cookie monster.

  • fretless is the way to go

  • fretless is the way to go.

  • OH MY GOD THE BASS

    is awesome

  • This is my first exposure to this band and i loved this song/video.

  • ehh Mastodon is better IMO

  • I keep coming back to watch this video. This song is beautiful in so many ways. The breakdowns are amazing. BADASS BASS AND DRUMS

  • this video reflects life to the core

  • it sounds great but I think the music itself is interesting enough to do without growling. Actually, it would sound much better. Fantastic bass by the way!

  • @bartosso check out above or core relations. 2 amazing songs with clean vocals by the intronaut

  • heavy parts sounds like Morbid angel :):):):) awsome band

  • My 4 year old brother loves this song lol

  • Best outro EVAR

  • 666 videos =)

  • WOW didnt see that outro coming...so simple yet so dark and amazing. that bassist is a monster

  • What the heck have I just watched? o.0

  • Sludge meets modern metal. Valid.

  • I love the beat.

  • *face melts*

  • Their sound is so fucking complex and heavy!!, almost solid!!!

  • Reminds me of "Obscura". Great!

  • This is SICK ALL AROUND

  • Good music covered with "rawr rawr rawr". Vocals can die in a fire, these guys need their throats removed...but keep everything else in tact because everything else is good!

  • music is good, vocals are boring.

  • Sound like The Ocean without the fancy bits.

  • wawacaca

  • It is very Mastodon'y, more atonal though which i like, love the bass in the mix sounds like old death metal records.

  • Fucking Great song!

  • the heavy parts sound like helicopters fighting.

  • @ENOCHwithaGLOCK That's probably the best description for anything I've ever heard. I fucking pictured the most brutal game of CHOPLIFTER ever.

  • @BearBronson thanks man. :)

  • @ENOCHwithaGLOCK

    its the bass tone, definetly

  • @ENOCHwithaGLOCK

Or a giant being eaten alive by heavy mining equipment

  • Kind of like a mellow version of Mastodon at times... interesting stuff, I'll have to check them out when they open for Helmet.

  • @disturbedchild2000 listen to the whole album before saying that, you will regret it.

  • @disturbedchild2000 listen to the whole album before saying that, you will regret it.

    listen to whole song actually.

  • sounds like between the buried and me

  • Just heard these guys.... now. Buying the album. It's settled.

  • First time hearing these guys, and it's pretty damn good. Kind of like the instrumentals of Opeth with the ferocity and trippiness of Meshuggah

  • this band is amazing. combining so many elements in a cohesive and intelligent way! trippy psychadelics, math meshuggahrisms, stoner, indie shoegazing moments, raw and real production, intelligent harmony, it's all there! X O X

  • @DougPirhana it's good, but i just don't like the vocals during the "smooth" parts. i feel as if clean vocals should be put in there instead. but whatever, still good i guess.

  • @donnydarkos

Then you're probably more of a metalcore kinda guy.

  • @uclafan1021 not those kind of cleans.... i'm talking about katatonia or septic flesh kind of cleans. not the generic girl sounding kind of cleans metalcore bands have these days...

  • @donnydarkos

Then in that case, you have my respect once again. =]

  • Nerosis inspired and very trippy experimental !

  • Wow, beautiful

  • Very interesting band...

Sounds a little jazzy to me which isnt bad at all...

  • Wonderfull to drift off into a world of dreams.

  • intronaut blows my mind every time i listen to them definatly one of the most intense and interesting bands every to play metal..

  • YouTube wins for the most retarded commenters of all the internet land. But whatever, I just ignore the idiots.
