  • good video tho!!

  • MPCSTUFF.COM $45 will get you Fatty pads(50% thicker than the ones shipped on the unit) and pad corks that go under the pads . its the legit version of what this guy is doin. If you have the money no doubt go to mpcstuff!!

  • @InLucidityMusic This works the same and costs $0.00. ;)

  • @chriscauldermusic @InLucidityMusic What about the cost of the electrical tape?... and maybe some sheets of cork if you want to be "legit". They sell 1' x 1' sheets wherever there are scrapbooking supplies.

  • thanks for the vid man, i thought i was the only one with a busted mpd24!! this makes a lot of sense!!! but i got a question for ya...can i use any type of tape or just electrical tape? thanks a lot again...you made my day with this!

  • So me and my brother both tried this on the mpd32 and now the light on the LCD won't turn in can anyone help!

  • Calvin and Hobbes

  • I just bought a MPD18 and i noticed this on that controller as well That is strange because i also own the LPD8 and The MPK mini and both those controllers have excellent pads but as for the MPD18 is concerned you are right the pads suck.

  • Is that a monome in the background? Dope! I got a 40h kit a few years ago. Big ups!

  • Awesome VID! I'm gonna try this my MPK Mini! Thumbs up!

  • I dont understand how people get the original pads to be sensitive, the pads on my mpd32 succckkkkkeeed, so i went to mic stuff.com and got the fatty pads, now it's to sensitive lol!

  • Calvin & Hobbes........ Yeah!

  • I want to purchase an MPD for FL studios. I'm used to using the mouse but I started sampling a couple months ago and it won't suffice for the beats I wan't to make. I wan't something simple to start off with with a good pad sensitivity. What would you suggest?

  • @imperialshalom Korg PadKontrol. It just works, the pads have perfect sensitivity. Good luck!

  • nice vid dude, i want to get a 32, dont feel the padkontrol has enough features for me, but if the pad suck when i get it, im gonna get the old tape out!!

  • I also did this with the MPK mini, and have found that two layers of tape are enough. The feeling is much better than how it came from the factory. I do occasionally experience the pads "sticking" in the on position, which is a bit annoying.

  • Many thanks for taking the time to record and post this video. I've half finished doing the pads on my Akai MPKmini and the difference is amazing. Now I can lightly tap the pads with my little finger!!! I've posted a response to your video so that people can see the difference between modded and stock, and to show that your mod technique also works perfectly for the MPKmini :) Cheers!

  • excellent video... I've just been trying to get back into pad drumming on my MPKmini and hate how I have to hammer the pads to even get *any* response... I feel like I need some drumsticks!!! will try this out and hopefully be able to tap out some beats rather than smack the hell out of them lol

  • great video thanks!

  • 'sup chris i was wondering about the beat in the background? it massive.

  • @katmai539 hey man, just a simple loop and guitar note, pitched down... I chopped it up on my Korg PadKontrol and Ableton, and added a lot of reverb. Hope that helps!

  • and my program change button doesnt work!!!! seriously?

  • and my preset button doesnt work

  • dude i just got this brand new today, followed your tutorial, and now my arrow buttons under the enter button wont work, wtf

  • @MrDirtyJoseph Too much tape perhaps or a misaligned circuit board... screws missing? I don't know man, but as I've said in comments... do the mod at your own risk! Open up the MPD again and see what did you wrong.

  • I wonder if you can use that silver 'duct tape'?

    It is thicker, sticks good...

    Anyone tried?

  • @digitaldreams1010101 I don't recommend that at all. Too sticky, too messy. Stick with electrical tape or those pre-made kits from ebay. Good luck!

  • so then just use regular-ass electrical tape? And thats the only other thing I need?

  • Thanks man, dope mod!

  • From what I've read this voids your warranty. If you ever needed to send your AKAI in, could not simply remove the tape, and send it. Would AKAI know you modded it?

  • @Kingaxel1 I have never dealt with AKAI but I would assume they check, in detail, if you may have taken the product apart - to make sure they arent wasting their own resources. Electric tape will leave a residue when peeled off, if its been there a while. Im pretty sure if they can tell you took it apart, the warranty will be considered void. And now days putting electric tape or cork on your mpc is so popular im sure the pads are the first place they check to see if its been tampered with.

  • @fawkthescene666 Hmm oh well, the manufacture warranty is only a year long. Thank you for your response.

  • @Kingaxel1 No problem..I usually buy my gear used anyway so warranty means nothing to me. I got my mpd18 like new in the box for $50!! So im all about taking it apart and trying out different pad mods. I tried the painters tape on 1 pad, which worked really well but takes so much time. I think im just going to go to a craft store and buy a sheet of thin cork and make my own cork circles, thats pretty much what mpcstuff.com does anyway - then sells for $15+ dollars.

  • @fawkthescene666 Thats a great price. And I think I will follow your lead and just buy some cork sheets myself.

  • guys make a photo of the inside of ur mpd and watch the movie atleast 2 times before doing this lol

i was like shit ......taping pads it cant be that hard....

well i made a huge mistake by taking the whole thing apart and i mean EVREYTHING unpluging the wires etc

it took me a whole fucking night trying to get it working again

but it works great now !!!!!

  • @Bigtimejonko yoooo I DID THE SAME THING. but i cant get the thing to turn back on now? i got everything plugged in i think, but the lcd doesnt light up at all when plugged in. FML. ive taken it back apart but i can't find whats wrong. everythings plugged in i think.

  • great tip. just got done doing this to my mpd sooooooooo much better

  • Thanks for the tip. I was to chiken to even open the case but now my also works greate!

  • I'm looking to buy a midi that can loop and double as a drum machine, as well as sample, considering i also use other instruments live.. And was wondering why you recommend Kontrol or Maschine over the MPD?

  • @fpfhoo For your needs, it sounds like Maschine would totally do the job. It's more expensive, and it's software-dependent (unlike an MPC)... but it's really powerful and it's so easy to chop samples. Watch some videos on how to use it... you'll be impressed. Native Instruments' website has a slew of videos showing the capabilities of Maschine.

As far as a basic MIDI controller -- the Korg PadKontrol has the most responsive pads. It looks classy, very tweakable.

  • @chriscauldermusic I've also been using Logic. Do think switching to NI and the lack of control knobs make up for the good response time and easy clipping of the Maschine? Because as far as the velocity goes, it seems like you found a good way around it...?

  • @fpfhoo Not sure if I fully understand what you mean. You can use Maschine in standalone or as a VST inside Logic. I just find Maschine's sample chopping totally intuitive for beatmaking/production... it's so friggin' easy. Mouseless workflow, really. Maschine's pads also are very responsive (as responsive as the PadKontrol's). Definitely watch some videos on it. :)

  • @chriscauldermusic Well the MPD has a bunch of faders and knobs, leaving it more options as far as manipulating the sounds with filters, cutoff, delay, attack, release, ect. which seems like id be SUPER nice for performance* I just wouldn't want to be restricted concerning those types of things just for a easier edit in the lab** -- sidenote: Thanks actually replying. :)

  • @fpfhoo Ah, in that case, sure... that's why I bought the MPD32 anyway.... all the faders and knobs. They're a bitch to configure, but luckily you can save presets and whatnot... I just don't perform with a pad controller, so I found Maschine and the PK to be perfect for my needs.

    Good luck!

  • great video. you ever think of buying the fat pads from mpcstuff with the corx in them? im thinking about buying a set cuz my mpk25 pads suck dick! what the fuck akai. i liked how you called out akai too. they need to hear it loud and clear and fix this fucking problem. theres no reason why the akai pads shouldnt be like the padkontrol pads out of the box. imo they should do a recall or offer some type of compensation to people who have bought there pad products.

  • @sml2238 did you end up picking the fat pads up? If so how do you like them?

  • @SeoulMuzik not yet i ended up buying tickets to rusko, and other tangible items that are no longer tangible, unless you consider an experience tangible :))

but i did the tape mod and im happy with the results until i feel like spending the 50 bucks on the fat pads...

  • so does it last long? How long till the next checkup? :) I was also thinking of putting something in there that doesn`t thin out as tape does.

U can always use double-sided scotch tape! For sticking something more solid that just tape under the buttons.

I don`t have one, but I still want to buy an AKAI :) I dunno...maybe it`s some brainwashing marketing ploy of theirs lol Or it`s just that I like the way it looks :)

  • @cMaXeJIJIo Don't know, I sold this modified one on ebay a while back.

Don't use double-sided scotch tape. The part that needs to touch the sensors needs to NOT be sticky.. or else you'll be in big trouble. This is not a brainwashing marketing ploy... just a pissed-off consumer tired of crappy product design.

  • @chriscauldermusic No, I meant this as in putting somethin` like cork or something solid between the tape and the sensors-so it would not wear out as quickly as regular tape.

  • @cMaXeJIJIo Ah sorry... yeah that should work fine, methinks...

  • 300 hundred? The goddamn thing costs 410 to 420 in my god-forsaken country lol I`m looking into buying one in a month or two. Yes, all those controllers are crucial, cuz I`m always looking to expand my sequencer controls onto an external MIDI device. Would you still recommend buying it? There, basically, is no better controller out of the box than this one? I`m all for modding and glad that I found ur vid-it should be in the top of utube cuz it actually solves issues people have. Great job!

  • @cMaXeJIJIo In my opinion, the Korg PadKontrol or Native Instruments' MASCHINE are the two best pad controllers on the market, today. I would stay far away from AKAI... though I do like their MPD18, portability-wise... it needs the same modification (though it's the easiest one to modify, I think).

  • i'm kinda scared to do it.

i wish i had a quicksave button incase i screw it

  • @douglasgm47 Think of it as modding the rubber, not the electronic parts-you`ll feel alot safter, I bet! :)))

I, once, tried to take my laptop apart(and I can assemble a desktop PC with my eyes closed) for cleaning it-now THAT was a bitch lol I stopped half-way and assembled it back hahhaha

  • That calvin and hobbes tat is wicked

  • @AMillionStoriesMusic Thanks. :)

  • u can buy a sheet of pre fabricated corks instead of electrical tape at mpcstuff.com (they got shit for mpds as well). good lookin on that macgyver shit tho bro.

  • u can buy a sheet of pre fabricated corks instead of electrical tape at mpcstuff.com (they got shit for mpds as well). good lookin on that macgyver shit tho bro.

  • i'm so happy i found this video. can't wait to try it out on my mpk49. its drum pads were somewhat disappointing. hopefully this mod is the answer.

  • Mmm still debating on either this or the padKONTROL... I've always liked the prospect of a light show with the korg... Makes me feel like I'm getting something done ^_^

  • @redoubt9000 in hindsight i would have copped the padkontrol. i did this mod a while back on my mpd18 and it worked perfectly but i noticed its lost a lot of sensitivity again. not sure if its the tape strips slipping off centre or what. gonna open her up again 2moro anyway. fingers crossed lol. hope u made the right decision

  • @raid206 yes it does work for mpd26.. taking it apart is the hard part tho.. and theres no videos of people doin it. doin mine right now. if u got questions message me..

  • any sticking issues??

  • This took some time but works like a beauty! Thanks!

  • well doesnt work for mpd 26 : (damn

  • You say its pretty easy but what should we be careful of before trying so that we don't fuck it up?

  • Can we be friends? Thanks so much for the tip...I'll be getting mine this weekend

  • Fucking hey! thats the way it should react......from the factory, instead modding it. F@ggot Akai.

@ chriscauldermusic, Yeaah U made my day :) my MPK will have second life :P

Thnx for sharing m8, nice mod.

  • Nice vid man well done and well said ...Respect ....10

  • Did the mod today and works great. It was quite effortful task to do but well worth it! Thanks!

  • it works with mpd 26 i did three layers of tape

  • im ganna try this with the mpd 26.

  • first off, love the calvin and hobbes tattoo. I'm about to buy one of these but I'm none too well off at the moment and they're more expensive in the eu. With this mod how do the pads compare to the korg's?

  • Im debting between these 2 controllers im kinda new to this but i kno wut im duin sumbody please tell me which one i should get ... soon

  • thanx!...you tell em buddy,i cant deal with design flaws either, now to fix this mpk49!!!

  • woot for Calvin and Hobbes tats.

  • you 4got to tell them not to throw away there receipt lol

  • Thanx a lot man. worked like a charm with my MPD18. Even more sensitive than my mpc2000 pads now = ]

  • @wrathpsp :) I put it on my MPD18, too..... excellent.

  • It's worked brilliantly. Now Addictive Drums becomes truly Addictive. Thank You

  • @logixish You're very welcome. :)

  • does this also work with the mpd26? im having similar issues with response, especially pad 13.. it wont go past 36 velocity no matter how hard i bang on it, i'm hoping the tape inbetween the sensors and rubber will give it some more response.

    awesome video

  • @raid206 Not sure..... can anyone confirm this?

  • @chriscauldermusic Yeah MPD 18, 26 & 32 Pads are all built the same...so im sure it'll work, im hoping it works on the MPD 26 pads....cos when i got it not long ago...i just realised how shit the pads are...thanks for sharing this video dude.

  • @RealRapMusic187 dunno i did this to my mpd26 and it made the pads a tiny bit more responsive but still nothing like the ones on the padkontrol or the axiom.

  • @chriscauldermusic yes..it worked on the 24 too

  • Comment removed

  • Modified my new MPD32 after trying it for 10 minutes (fingers started to hurt from whacking the pads). Three layers of thick fabric tape and the MPD reacts to slight touches. No involuntary triggering even with the threshold set to 1.

    Great mod, thanks a lot.

  • @N8Diver You're very welcome.

  • i thought the mpd32 pads were decent or decent enough, first pads i ever owned. then i bought a keyboard and dude threw in an mpd16. the pads are way better on the 16, plus its smaller so i can throw it in the bookbag with the laptop. ive been using the 16 for so long my 32 is collecting dust. finally im gettin sick of only having 2 banks, no transort control bttons, and dusted off the mpd32 and went in on it. reminds me of how awful the pads are. i was going to buy the mod kit but i'll try this

  • or you could get spacers mpcstuff .com

  • works great! thnx

  • Thank you for sharing this!!! This works like a dream! I always thought the pads were to unresponsive... I would never thought of this myself, so thanks again!!!

  • @MrJixies Anytime... thanks for watching!

  • bt how do i put the tape? sticky side up?

  • Oh, and did it on a mpd32 (can't speak for how the others work).

Really a 100 times better. All it really takes is to make the rubber lie very close to the sensor.

  • Great and easy peasy mod. Worth for all mpd users! Thanks a bunch.

I used three layers of electrical tape, and it works great. Tip:

    1. U don't need to unplug any ribbon cables, just lift out the rubber pad with everything intact.

    2. U only need to take away the screws on the right board (seen from to backside).

finally: Akai - just make the rubber pads a millimeter or so thicker (I know u can do it!)

  • can you also use duct tape? does it have to be electrical tape?

  • @summ22 I would strongly avoid duct tape. It's too sticky and it's not a good idea at all. Stick with the electrical tape.

  • @chriscauldermusic

i've tried it with duct tape, it worked fine. 6 layers is good, 7 layers feels even better, but 1 or 2 pads may hang. the pads now trigger when i literally stroke them... great!

  • is der any other tape i can use or na?

  • @TheMik3yv Electrical tape is best.

  • @chriscauldermusic Does this void the warranty? Also, you mean you just cut a piece of electrical tape the size of the square, did this 4 times, and combined those 4 pieces ontop of the other? So the buffer is really only (4*the width of the black electrical tape) wide?

  • @diego898 I'm sure it would... yep, that's what I did... 4 small squares of tape on top of each other. you got it..... good luck!

  • Hey great vid, Do you know anything about fixing the rotary knob on the padkontrol because mine broke off but everything still works except the setting section switch knob. Any help I would much appreciate

  • This works on AKAI LPD 8! I used 3 layers of painter's masking tape and the sensitivity works much more natural...from gentle ghost notes to hard hits...

    thank you!

  • The geezer who says the MPD26 is just the same..

That sure ain't what I found! MPD26 users BEWARE.. this fix does NOT work as the internals are completely different to the ones shown in this vid!!!!

  • I followed the steps with my MPD 32 and it works great....Thanks a million.

  • I would like to confirm the MPK49 greatly benefits from this simple modification.

I was tripping out, because I was reading your comment on the telephone tel aviv vid that you did, and then didn't realize that I had followed your tutorial a couple weeks ago heh.

I ended up using 4 pieces and got a pretty good response. I ended up with 4 pieces of tape and it made a HUGE difference.

I mean.. Night and DAY difference.

Thanks for sharing the odd tutorials! hehe

  • Looks good, I might attempt this on my MPK49.

  • Hi, could you (or anyone else reading this) upload a HQ picture of what the MPD32 looks like when you just take the back off...I'm not sure if I've put certain things back in the right place. (Like the image you have at 1:38, but from directly above, and higher quality so I can see what's going where).

I would really appreciate this, many thanks

  • I'm having trouble with how the faders are supposed to come off so you can pull out the whole board. Are they supposed to or can you pull it off with the faders attached in some way? I'm stuck

  • THANK YOU!

  • Yo THANKS 1,000,00 ! MAN this ISH = T really works ! I tried this on my MPD 18 and it works !

  • No i agree the akai USB controller pads suck !

  • Thanks for the fix! I just modded my MPK25 and it works like a charm now :).

Although i had to use 8(!) layers of tape instead of 4. With 4 layers there was almost no difference.

Have to change 1 block of tape by the way, 1 pad is acting a bit weird. Maybe i cut the tape a bit to large there.

  • Attention MPD26 users! I have looked all over the internet to see if anyone went through with doing this mod on a mpd26 (which is also not good in the sensitivity department) and as soon I read the comment from the guy about 3 comments below, I said "Screw it, I'll just give it a go".

    IT WORKS JUST THE SAME!

So to all of you who have been trying to find -with no luck- brave (stupid) people over the internet who have tried this on their brand new mpd26s: It is really simple and %100 worth it!

  • @ucdortbes :) Glad you had success!

  • i just moded my mpd26 and it works fine, Had a lot of screws to take out but it was well worth it, i also did it to my mpd18 and it was an easy fix.

  • Fuck.... I tried to mod it and I can't remember how to re-assemble it :(

Everything works but the LCD doesn't light up. Do you know where the 2 wires coming off the LCD attach to the main PCB? The video you show doesn't show this and I can't find any info on it anywhere. Please help! Thanks

  • @bakup83 I never disconnected anything from the LCD, just the main pad board... I wish I could help... I did my mod over a year and a half ago.... I hope you get it working! If anyone else can help who reads his comment, please send him a message.... good luck man!

  • @chriscauldermusic

Thanks for your prompt reply mate, found a pic and re-attached the cables but still no love from the LCD... Dammit! You know what really sucks? I bought the unit from the US (I live in Australia) because it was like nearly half the price from the states but Akai don't offer an International warranty! Unbelievable.. I mean it operates on bus power and is pretty much a portable device when used with a laptop.... Anyhow, thanks for your vid & help, Peace

  • @bakup83 Keep trying, I'm sure you'll get it... I remember sometimes the LCD wouldn't come on at all unless I reattached the USB cable a few times... give it a few seconds between connecting and disconnecting.... Double-check that everything's connected correctly... just don't break anything.... keep me posted!

  • @chriscauldermusic - Looks like I posted under by buddies account (bakup83) Anyhow.... Turns out I attached one of the ribbon cables upside down.... (All the blue tabs should be facing towards the PCB) I corrected it and now she's up and running again :D

    Thanks mate!

    Pro-Tip: Don't do this mod when you're wasted >.<

  • @bakup83 there is a black ground wire that is supposed to be screwed into the first screw on your left side of the metal bracket that may be your problem the lcd is not getting a proper ground.

  • i got one recently and they felt beautiful the pads have a better feel than mpc!! so maybe it was just the ones you guys got because i tested a few at the store i got mine and they all felt the same deff no "pounding" required

  • I just bought one.. is this really an issue?

  • @wonkamonkie Yes It really is an issue!

  • i prefer usind roland or yamaha drum pad for doing rythm i think it's better even with 61 keyboard i have a better sensitivity than those akai pad grrr, but your trick is realy cool for mpd user.

  • Hey Chris will this work with the MPK 61? HELP!

  • Calvin and Hobbs, WOOOO! I'm buying the MPK88 soon, you think this would work on in that pretty much in the same way you made it work here? (meaning, since there's a keyboard built with it... would it be safe for an amateur such as myself to open up the back of that beast?)

  • just done on mpd32, works perfectly, thanks!

Now to pop open my LPD8 and see if the same applies. (lpd8 doesnt even have a 'full level' option so thats even more tiring!)

  • can you do this mod on the mpd26 model?... the insides look a little different then the 32. Thanks man

  • with all the braclets ud think u have no problem man

  • @ChannMan420 Have no idea what that means. I've worn bracelets since 1986. Your comment is irrelevant, when it comes to the video. If you find it useful, like everyone else has, please comment saying such. Thanks, and good luck tweaking your Akai pad controller.

  • You are my new hero man. For real.

I bought one of these things specifically because it said it had MPC pads and it's been pretty much gathering dust ever since because it's easier to click beats into GURU than slam my aching fingers into the MPD.

    Works great now tho! :D

  • @djalexrai No prob man. Enjoy. :)

  • dont let akai see this or theyll void your warranty hahaha

  • @tbwannab lol

  • " chriscauldermusic "MY DUDE!!!!!MY DUDE!!! MY MPD24 WORKS LIKE A CHAp NOW,THX MAN!!THX!!! i dropped a cigarette butt on the pads now and they repond no shyte.thx man forreal tho.

  • @greyface74 no prob! enjoy! :)

  • @chriscauldermusic Hey you have yet another happy person after trying you mpd fix. It works great on my MPD24 and I used 4 layers of electrical tape on the outer pads and 5 layers on the middle pads to make it even pressure on the sensor and circut board. Thank you for posting this up.

  • I just wanna say thank you thank you thank you.. i saw your vid a while ago now and have finally got round to doing this mod today, and its soooooooo much better!! I bought the mpk49 just as it came out and instantly hated the pads (wasn't an expert on mpc pads but thought i could trust someone as established as Akai) How could they get this wrong?! Anyway... This has helped massively, and even the Sens/Vel settings respond better too. Ahhhh, now i can relax :)

  • @thinwire You're welcome. Enjoy! :)

  • nice vid man

  • Hey Chris, what do you think about the pads of Akai mpd26? I thought about purchasing the mpd32, until I've read many reviews about how terrible the pads were.

  • I did it yesterday and its works Beautifully thanks so much chris! i used 5 on every pad. closed it then 13 was too responsive and 8 and 12 were a little less sensitive than the rest. So i opened up it up again added and subtracted where needed. IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY!!! feels better than or just about as good the 2000xl response wise. Cant thank you enough!

  • you did say 4 layers of tape...correct...

  • this is the only vid covering this mod....thanx fer posting it..!

  • nice vid

have you done this with an mpc 18??

    would it work the same?

  • @pjbridger im sure its the same with the mpd 18

  • i take your word for it that they suck but like homie below me said to use the global settings,i just wondering if you did that before you rigged it up?

    cool vid

  • i love the tattoo on your left arm :-)

  • Before you all crack open your MPD go to your global settings set you velocity curve to A your sensitivity to 16 and your threshold to 1 and it should work fine mine works fine that way.

  • Word up on this. My Akai is perfectly fine how it is. I am not breaking it open and adding tape lol

  • @neBo503 dude u missin out on a good mod i tried it after sayin the same thing

  • Everybody i know including myself who has the 32 does that we all know.... but even so i have to agree with chris the sensitivity on the MPD32 sucks bad out of the box. Its a beautiful machine i love it more than any mpc and i pretty much use/used them all but the its pointless having it unless u crack it open either that or u just got one of the few sensitivity ones in which case I envy your luck.

  • Comment removed

  • That is because it costs 99 dollars. It is a fantastic machine for 99 dollars. If you want to complain, get your money right and get a better piece of equipment.

  • I could not agree more. The mpd32 pads are total dogshit, wish I'd known about this mod when I had mine. (I just stuck with my padkontrol)

  • they sell padkorx at mpc stuff ... u put these under the pads to get a better response ... i recomend them , they definately help with response

  • Good vid. This is worth checking out too, if anyone wants to drop 12 bucks. Google "Akai MPK Pad Sensitivity Enhancement Kit" and find it on eBay

  • is mpds pads really sucks?what about mpd24?which one is the betta buy?

  • @kissmarton I find that the mpd 32 pads are actually good. Soft and responseful. But thats just me. The Akai MPD18s pads are bad tho. Too hard and have to pound too hard.

  • Dawgy... thanks for da vid. Solid Trick. im gonna do it as soon as this bitch gets to my doorstep!

  • are the pads on the mpd really that crappy that you have modify em?? i thought they were solid and responsive...

  • Comment removed

  • Dope video I'm gonna mod my 24

And the guy asking about when u hit a pad and the sample stops playing your getting that cuz that section of your drum controller is set to cut 1 by 1 turn that off and you should be good

  • Just finished this operation on mine, thanks so much for the video! The difference is amazing.

  • AKAI owes you money. Were it not for this fix (which is simple and works perfectly), I would have returned my mpd32 the next day. Now, it's fine as frog hair. Great work!

  • @Troglored Glad to be of service, man. Maybe Akai could throw me some dough.... I sure could use some extra right now.

  • I would caution people to use a
