...that is mad. Saw Angelic Upstarts at Tops of the Pops the day of this video. Gary Numan and the Flying Lizards too I think...can't remember who else. We were only young....ended up in the BBC bar later and had a drink with the Angelic Upstarts....not very punk rock appearing on TOTPs tho lads!!

Just watching on german TV a "Best Of" of TOTP. They're showing shows before the date i was born. Thought i would see some good old rocksongs, if i watch it. And than i see this great Oi!-song. Never heard the name Angelic Upstars. And i'm so glad to know them now. Have to search for a CD.

@totalstranga mensi (the singer) was certainly influenced by slade they did`nt play as fast as sham but their sound was tougher and mensi was genuine blue collar he worked in the mines for a while

I was just a wee snapper of a lad then. Upstarts were playing Bollingbrook Hall and other local venues(South Shields). I mised out cos of a bunch of wankers called Red Alert who kept sending bomb alerts to the coppers !

Been an Upstart since i can ever remeber. Still got my John Pel seesion tape of the (original Upstarts). Shsme theyre no more RIP AnGeliC UpstartS ... Im Still "Out of Control" Oh and Belly (Keith) is still shit scared of his own past / shadow !!! Ha Ha
