The "people of faith" who freed the slaves. Too bad they had to "re-interpret" or outright disregard ALL of the passages in the Old/New testament which endorse slavery in order to do that. The bible didnt change its acceptance of slavery. Humanity found slavery to be inconsistent with modern concepts of morality which didnt come from the Bible.

Some of these defenitions don't contradict each other. Alot of theist will admit to being agnostic. Saying that they can't know there is a god, but choose to believe in him. Same thing with agnostic athiest. I can't know there is a (god/unicorn), but since I have no evidence to suggest there is one I don't believe. Agnostic and athiest awnser two diffrent questions.

i dont think the anti-theist says it isnt possible. Hitchens regularly conceeds that he cannot disprove the existence of god, or a specific religious god.

Sometimes atheists or agnostics say...well i wish it were true but i cant believe it. The anti-theist is happy that there is no evidence for the existence of god or any religion because they are oppressive, totalitarian structures riddled with moral themes which are inconsistent with secularism, science and modernity.

An Athiest is somepne who lacks a belief in God

An Agnostic is just someone who is undecided on whether they believe or not

I leave open a tiny tiny percentage part of my mind open to the possibility, but that is so I remain open minded remember there are no absolutes in science no 100% only 99% certainty, 100% proof only exsists in mathematics.
