My 22 yr old son Sean Michael Good died from Ritalin after 10 years of use for ADD he couldn't stop abusing this drug in the USA. The doctors never warn you or check for family mental illness or alcoholism. In 2008 the doctor tripled his dosage. He would binge and abuse. I talked him into going to rehab in Houston. He called this a curse, and asked me why I ever gave this to him. I try to honor Sean by warning you. Don't use stimulants of any type. I am thankful God took his shame/pain away
Xanax and valium are benzodiazpines, not sedatives. They are not principally prescribed, designed, or used for sleep aids as the sign says. They are for axiety, muscle relaxants, etc. Known as antixilotic agents. Some drs prescribe them OFF LABEL for sleep but that is a side effect. FYI.
@TheRogueMonk Xanax and Oxazepam are both benzodiazepines, a class of prescription drug usually prescribed for anxiety. Oxazepam is also sometimes prescribed for insomnia. The key thing here, though, is that these are prescription drugs and, yes, they are dangerous to use when theyre not prescribed for you—e.g., getting them from a friend—or in a way not intended.
This is a kind of drug abuse. Recent stories in the media show how accidental overdose can occur from abusing prescription drugs or from combining different types without a doctors guidance. You should stop now.
