  • wow fucking remember this!!!!

  • I consider this part of the TMNT movie...I cannot watch it without seeing this commercial first....its like an unspoken rule...

  • It's a sin that this never made it onto the dvd.

  • TMNT VHS MOVIE MAN!!!!! Making it great. We all miss our childhood. This was a great video and always made me hungry for pizza.

  • This song was originally written and performed by Willy Welch of Dallas, TX. Peter Paul and Mary covered it a couple times.

  • Its Goldberg!

  • In the TMNT one they go "Makin' it Great"

  • They don't make commericials like this any more. Now they have hamsters doing a gay a dance to a gay song for a gay for an even gayer car. There are no commericials that make me wanna go buy anything anymore.

  • @devdanger My condolences.

  • Holy crap! TMNT. This brings me WAAAAAAAYYYYY back

  • The year was 1992 and I was in 2nd grade. Burger king was selling teenage mutant ninja turtles movies with their happy meals and this commercial was at the beginning of the movie. Ahhh, memories...

  • man i miss the 90's

  • This is the best makes me super happy...

    making it great!!!!!!!!!

  • Goldberg the catcher instead of goldberg the goalie hahahah

  • Ever since I saw this ad on the TMNT VHS back in 1990, I thought it was one of the best ads I had ever seen and I still do. I just wish the artist that Pizza Hut hired to do the song had actually gone on to record a full version; I like his version better than the original.

  • @muterabbit That was Paul from Peter Paul and Mary and he did ut out a full version. It's right here on youtube.

  • @colleen4ever If that's him, then he figured out how to make his voice sound a lot less nasally for the Pizza Hut ad. Also, if that's him, then he decided not to perform the song in his usual goofy style. I'm almost positive the guy in the Pizza Hut ad is not Paul. If it is Paul, then can you point me to a good quality video on YouTube of him performing it solo? All I've been able to find is a crappy live recording.

  • @muterabbit I'll look.

  • @colleen4ever Thanks. : )

  • I was horrible at sports. I played right field. I never got to catch the game-winning ball. I love this commercial.

  • I think we all remember this from the VHS movie TMNT. I feel so old now.

  • The look on the coach's face from 0:42-0:43 is fuckin priceless!

  • Aw, thanks for posting this. I just watched the Ninja Turtles movie and felt like I would have been robbed with out seeing this as well.

  • Man time has passed. I will always relate this video to TMNT on VHS. AWESOME MOVIE!

  • yep i remember this from the TMNT VHS movie. Inspiring for any little guy that's into baseball

  • holy shit its goldberb! wonder what that dudes upto these days. probably hanging out with that redheaded kid from the sandlot and the big green

  • i played catcher when i was in coaches pitch and right field in minor leagues. i always loved this commercial at the beginnig of TMNT and still love baseball to this day and i remember all the times we went to pizza hut after the games.

  • As a former little league right fielder, I sing along proudly every time I see this.

  • I remember seeing this commercial on the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" video before the movie, and I always thought it was funny and confusing why the coach was making a disappointing face from 0:42-0:43 like he was saying and thinking "I shouldn't of made a promise if he catches that baseball that I would treat them to Pizza Hut." I'm not sure why he would look disappointed after one of his players caught a baseball instead of showing happiness right away like he did at 0:53 on the left side.

  • @afriendofbean He wasn't disappointed. He was shocked that the kid actually caught the ball.

  • Yes that's also true. I guess the kid has never caught a fly ball before and that was the first time he caught a fly ball so maybe the coach thought the kid would miss the ball. Probably his surprised look was like he was saying "I was wrong to think he would miss the ball."

  • @afriendofbean No, that's a face saying "WTF just happened?"

  • That's also true. Maybe that young kid is the coaches son where his son usually has trouble catching a fly ball and the coaches look was also probably meaning "how did my son catch the fly ball like that which he never does?"

  • I thought I knew what my favorite song was until this was brought from the depths of my childhood memories. this should have like a million hits. every kid who was ever a ninja turtle should know this song BY HEART b/c we wore the VHS tape out watching the movie so much!

  • I love that we know this commercial from the tmnt vhs

  • Shit, I was 5 watching TMNT the movie on VHS. Damn, I am getting old lol

  • @DeVeAnGAMERZX I was 8

  • @DeVeAnGAMERZX Yep I had bought the movie when I lived in Maryland on VHS and I remember this commercial at the beginning vividly. Til this I still remember the lyrics.

  • @DeVeAnGAMERZX I just sold some VHS and DVD's I had the TMNT on VHS and a guy bought it and Ghostbusters haha

  • @DeVeAnGAMERZX hell yes

  • Thank you! Thank you... thanks

  • Such a piece of my childhood...

  • GOLDBERG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gonna be watching TNMT tonight, but it's on DVD. Playing Street Fighter II first. Had to find this commercial to precede the movie. Popcorn, ice cream, using Chun-Li to whoop my brother playing Ryu like it's 1992 again, Right Field, Turtles...what a night!

  • i love this song

  • Didn't that kid die from of a overdose, when he was a teenager?

  • Absolutely love seeing this again. The Turtles tape was one of my favorites =]

  • its funny...when we are kids, we hate that we have a commercial before the movie

now...20 years later...we love seeing this commercial cause it brings back memories lol

  • TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES WOULDVE SUCKED WITHOUT THIS!!!!!

  • Goldberg!!!! (the catcher here)

  • Yep, tmnt tape is where i know it best. stuck in my head for life =D

  • This was on before the first TMNT VHS

  • Love it
