I am a big ableton live user and have just recently acquired Reason 5. I enjoy the program and also the fact that you can ReWire reason into ableton. This is incredibly useful ^^

@lairdriver In the toolbar in upper left hand portion of your screen, there is a small picture of a hand. Next to that hand, is a drop down box with 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc. Whatever you select is what the pencil tool will output when clicked. I hope this helps. If not, let me know.

Thumbs for the tutorial and effort, but the song doesn't really fit my tastes. I'm in for all electronic genres pretty much, but on your song the vocalist gets more annoying than catchy. I know you meant it as the hook of the song but it's just annoying hearing that same line over and over.

This is great for people who struggle with the Reason program. I felt so lost when I first started, but after nearly a year of messing around with it I started picking up on it. This definitely shows some good moves and provides a base in producing a quality electro house song. From here theres a lot of things you can tweak and make it truly sound unique. I really liked this 7 day song tutorial. I just wanted to give you some tipps:

1. If you use the pen tool and you draw an area in the sequencer, you just hit enter to get right into it and start drawing notes

2. When you are using the normal curser, you can hold down the ctrl key(mac: cmd) and it turns to the pen tool as long as u press ctrl

Hi Dave...good as usual...just one thing: You always initialize the patch of the device you´re creating...don´t know, if you know, you can set it up in the options menu, that Reason does NOT load a patch itself, but just puts the "clean" device on. Cheers, Juergen
