  • very good presentation. I sure learned a lot.

  • For possessive sticky Ritalin coke-heads the brain and the "mined" are often the same. In an effort for improved spirit WiFi brain internet service. We're not impressed with the dreams adjacent sleep.

  • All I am trying to say is the technology (electrodes implanted) in me at the V.A has given rise to influence the use of my personal intelectual property with empirical data being retreived 24hrs a day .The mind and synaptic plasticity in the U.S. Veterans Brain is very personal the use of this Federal Equipment should be treated with( I am pretty meesed up from all the Remote sensing that has been deleivered to me) ..............................

  • Defining mind, consciousness, spirit, soul, Transego, etc. is not that easy not even for Epistemologists. To be able to define mind and locate it in and out the brain we need to have a wider and deeper philosophical, scientific and epistemological background, due to mind for instance is part of the above aspects of the ALL from which we share and contain a bit. Then mind is not separated but related to all the other elements, not just to the physical brain. More to come... Greetings from Ecuador

  • Wait, I don't understand why she is separating the 'brain' and the 'mind'? Is she a philosopher and thinks that the 'mind' exists outside the brain? Surely being in the position that she is in (i.e. the medica profession) she realizes that the 'mind' arises due to the function of the brain! Does an action potential exist somewhere outside the neuron or is it simply due to the activity of that neuron? So why would you separate the brain and the mind?

  • @Spetsop Not that I'm an expert but the brain is the organ, meanwhile the mind is the influence of the brain inside and outside your body. If you hold a stick in order to push somebody, then your mind reaches at the tip of the stick. If you drive a car and move the car around obstacles, your mind reaches to the outside of the car, otherwise you would crash all the time.

  • @joseartigas

Indeed... but regardless of all that, the mind is still created by the activity of the brain. Does that mind still exist when the brain is no longer functioning? When you first learned to drive, did your mind reach outside the car right away or did it develop overtime? I understand what you're saying, but even then, you can't separate the two. Anything that will alter the function of the brain, will alter the mind (eg. drugs, trauma, meditation).

  • The truth about a planet Earth!

Our planet (Earth) is a planet, who are controlling a people, wich were emmigrate us on planet!

They do not control just a people, they controling a whole planet!

This are doing with a last technology(who we do not now)with help of sun-with a sun light

they send and accept all informations!

On all living creatures they can prejudicing and with a same technology(with sun light),

  • their informations are working on us with vibrations. The vibrations (informations) are come in brains with our ears.

Then they can control(move) all body, even they can produce dreams and think, and talk!

    Animal(move) or people.

This are weating us in future, but is already exist!

EVERYTHING WHAT WAS HAPPEN ON EARTH IS ON "TAPE".

Everything for what we work on have no point!

They are living where is plug,3 stars triangle(Scalene) at the star between Alkaid and Alioth!

  • @2009stickyfinger A very sympathetic applause to your difficult efforts to expose the spiritual of tyranny.

  • @2009stickyfinger are you currently taking any medication?

  • what do you think of byron katie ? the work.com

  • Very good lecture worth watching. Good job Sophia.

  • She's very attractive.

  • @polymath7 so, you dabble in babble?

to state the obvious doubles for bubble

talk (a revealing revelling - but not quite

    reaching the level of.............. relevancy!)

  • @polymath7, Aren't we lucky that women are likely to be most responsible for what men are. But it sure leaves me to question their sanity.

  • @ananiasacts What do you mean?

  • @polymath7, Well, men will fuck anything they can hold still. Women are a few shades more choosy. Thus men will tend to exert less "selective pressure" than women in our evolution. This is visible across species. All males, of every species, seem to be largely "domesticated" by this asymmetry. I'm grateful for it. I reckon it's the reason women often seem to make no sense to me. They don't need to bother. We do, and have only them to thank for being better at justifying our behavior.

  • @ananiasacts

I see. I thought you were about to accuse me of some kind of sexism.

"...men will fuck anything they can hold still." *shrug*

All I can say is speak for yourself. Lechery and discrimination are far from incompatible, and I'm likely to find a woman who is moderately good-looking but extremely intelligent far more attractive than one who's the inverse.

  • @polymath7, clearly I meant "as a group" not each and every male. The fact is that the news is filled with stories of men fucking everything from road kill they stumble upon, to household appliances. There's an evolutionary advantage for them to be this way. Missing an opportunity to fuck something that might possibly bear offspring is huge compared to wasting a few micrograms of gametes. This says nothing about you personally, just your ilk. We're designed to rationalize, not to understand.

  • @ananiasacts

*Never* base your epistemology on what stories fill the news. A better phrase would have been "...the journals are filled with articles...".

You're roughly correct about the selection pressures that shaped male sexuality, but this is often much overstated as a mere pop-psychology meme, completely devoid of nuance.

  • she keeps covering her nipples with her cardigan..... trying to hide something??? :)

  • This is the true power of Youtube!

Share the information! Promoting education, innovation, and revelation :)

    Thanks!

  • How come, that so many people either don't care or don't realize when a picture is squashed or squeezed? Look at the picture at 19:20! See anything wrong with it? Don't you people think, that is worth of an investigation?

  • I like this when she says at minute 48:00 that "in emotions, the brain does not function independently of the body"

  • Great lecture. Very informative and well delivered lecture. Thanks

  • She is absolutely gorgeous.

  • @Muuzip99 Indeed! I want to marry a woman of this calibre!

  • @11889music yes,but does SHE want to marry you?not likely.

  • What is the RH oriented person`s punch line at 42:00 ?

What does an emotional kangaroo says?

  • shes beautiful and is probably in her late 40's

  • The brain can function only from the known , the stored up knowledge. Biological and psychological information. But there is a faculty in us to know certain things not from the registered stuff but immediately like an intuition. Feeling the water source under earth or knowing certain things which happened far away. or sometimes even the future or feeling the aura.. It more related to the mind or better a body knowledge or knowledge of the whole being.

  • BF Skinner thou art avenged...LOL

  • I like how she just grouped all psychologists as "touchy feely", as if all psychologists were cheesy psychotherapists! I think there is a rich history of academic psychologists who emplyed the scientific method to understanding and predicting behavior, thoughts, and emotions. Perhaps inference or indirect methods were sometimes needed to study such phenomenon, as more precise methods were unavailable, but this doesnt mean it was unscientific or touchy feely as you say.

  • @asonjdj I think she was being facetious; she had just referred to the idea that what these folks did was once considered "not science".

  • Great.I have recorded it to listen on my IPOD. Also, this is kind of personal, but still, name Vinogradova sounds very Russian to me. Still there is no accent. Absolutely none. I would say that the lecturer either was not even born in Russia or came to US as a child? less than 6 years old?

  • 83 minutes?! Whoa...
