Isn't it possible that these "shape shifts" on camera are just camera anomalies? Why does the person's clothing change too? And the background behind them? Couldn't it be just some digital glitch? The phenomenon known as "rods" was recently recreated by photographing flying insects using different shutter speeds. The whole thing was shown to be a camera anomaly.
Well it is weird that the compression artifacts only appear on people's faces. It makes me wonder what kind of video technology they use because I've never used any video camera that had this issue, and these are major corporations with top of the line equipment.
The green hue could be due to a green screen behind the subject that is bleeding into the camera's visual field. I don't dismiss the idea of reptilian humanoids but there are explanations for these effects, too.

and here is a video that demonstrates (if your monitor's contrast is decent enough), some of the colourspace-convergence that a compressor engages in... if you forward to around 4:05 in the video, with the clapping clowns at the end... and watch the top of the screen, you should see some very light-grey blocks pulse in and out of existence for the duration of a frame or two until the video's end.. this is the MPEG codec shifting the white background to a slight off-white

MPEG is more complicated than JPEG... in addition to trying to compress frames by shifting colourspace like JPEG, MPEG also does analysis of the frames across temporal-space... so, for example, it will examine how a small region changes over time.. and based on what it finds, that will influence how it shifts the colours
it seems alot more likely that pixellating clothes and backgrounds and faces are the result of a video compression algorithm... such as one of the many variants of MPEG for example
JPEG compression, which is used on still frames, sometimes works by shifting discordant pixels closer to each other in colourspace, so that they can be grouped together and therefore compressed better... the amount that the pixels are allowed to be shifted depends on the compression setting chosen by the user...
and of course keeping in mind that this field-destabilizer was not consciously engineered by the creators of youtube, but just a happy coincidence revealing the serpents amongst us... lol ya I think that may be paranoia talking
the second trait that hints that there is another explanation is that, as others have pointed out, their clothes and sometimes the studio background get morphed and pixellated as well

The morphing does seem a little fake in this video...Not only does the look of morphing, or "out of focus" take place on their faces, but it can sometimes be seen around their bodies too (like with Ron Paul, the building in the background image morphed, and with the host his suit morphed). I thought I saw similar phenomenon in earlier videos This indicates to me that you probably manipulated the video. If they are fake, you did a good job. Devil's in the details though.

I don't say its untrue, but the vids i saw so far (the "normal" ones) don't show
these artifacts, only the ones who claim they can prove it with their vids.
AND: YT vids are mostly grainy and in bad quality. Of course not everything looks "totally flawless" like on (HD) TV. But vids never show this kind of behavior like here.

Isn't it possible that these "shape shifts" on camera are just camera anomalies? Why does the person's clothing change too? And the background behind them? Couldn't it be just some digital glitch? The phenomenon known as "rods" was recently recreated by photographing flying insects using different shutter speeds. The whole thing was shown to be a camera anomaly.

Well it is weird that the compression artifacts only appear on people's faces. It makes me wonder what kind of video technology they use because I've never used any video camera that had this issue, and these are major corporations with top of the line equipment.
The green hue could be due to a green screen behind the subject that is bleeding into the camera's visual field. I don't dismiss the idea of reptilian humanoids but there are explanations for these effects, too.

Guess U spent to much time watching the tube. Those deformations come from the compression and decompression algorithms to transform the digital information in to the illusion of motion and sound.

why the compressor shifted those blocks is mysterious because all that white background should have compressed very nicely because it is so uniform... but I guess that's what ya can get with the complexities of fourier analysis being done across multiple frames... every now and then it makes what seem to be stupid decisions hehe

and here is a video that demonstrates (if your monitor's contrast is decent enough), some of the colourspace-convergence that a compressor engages in... if you forward to around 4:05 in the video, with the clapping clowns at the end... and watch the top of the screen, you should see some very light-grey blocks pulse in and out of existence for the duration of a frame or two until the video's end.. this is the MPEG codec shifting the white background to a slight off-white

that slow convergence seems like exactly what would happen if the modified colourspace of say Frame #1 was fed into what the compressor thinks is supposed to be Frame #2... or regions of it anyway... or perhaps feeding it the coordinates of which blocks were shifted in the past and how much it would prefer them to be shifted in the future... which would be a likely tactic of a temporal-compressor set to ultra hehe

I think what we are seeing is an MPEG codec whose settings are either very high (and therefore harmful to integrity), or perhaps fine-tuned for specific frequencies... set, for example, to recognize common skin tones... since the distortions often seem to occur in the face
I think there may also be an iterative or "feedback loop" process at work... because the 8x8 blocks slowly converge to a uniform colour over long periods of time

I think usually 8x8, 16x16, or 32x32... the morphing faces look an awful lot like 8x8 blocks at work... like if you look at it close you will see what look like 8x8 blocks converging to either white or black... very slowly though... I think this is more than coincidence and strong evidence that we are seeing a side effect of video compression... or a "compression alias" as video buffs like to call it

MPEG is more complicated than JPEG... in addition to trying to compress frames by shifting colourspace like JPEG, MPEG also does analysis of the frames across temporal-space... so, for example, it will examine how a small region changes over time.. and based on what it finds, that will influence how it shifts the colours

it seems alot more likely that pixellating clothes and backgrounds and faces are the result of a video compression algorithm... such as one of the many variants of MPEG for example
JPEG compression, which is used on still frames, sometimes works by shifting discordant pixels closer to each other in colourspace, so that they can be grouped together and therefore compressed better... the amount that the pixels are allowed to be shifted depends on the compression setting chosen by the user...

The morphing does seem a little fake in this video...Not only does the look of morphing, or "out of focus" take place on their faces, but it can sometimes be seen around their bodies too (like with Ron Paul, the building in the background image morphed, and with the host his suit morphed). I thought I saw similar phenomenon in earlier videos This indicates to me that you probably manipulated the video. If they are fake, you did a good job. Devil's in the details though.

There is many computer software that allows you to focus on one part of a picture and distort it. I am a digital graphic designer. These "changes" are made, not real. You should be honest and state real facts. I watch these particular shows all the time, I have never seen these changes.
