What people have to realise is that an SUV under braking has no advantage over a standard single drive car. Its the laws of physics. In the UK, we get less of this as a stick shift under engine braking adds a degree of control. You need to allow at least 5 seconds braking distance and plan ahead 1/2 mile or so. In winter you cant drive the same as in summer
