Very funny. I love seeing the old LP 10 again. I remember starting out on the LP5's. These videos are great. I worked both rural and urban systems and I swear i have run some of these calls. Keep up the good work. In Detroit I once had a guy call 911 for chest pain only to AMA at the door because he needed a ride and didn't have cab fare.
@mirnemtp Been there, done that totally. LOL I started on the 5s myself. Loved the ability to take them apart. I miss my 10. The paddles made the job so much more interesting. Ha ha ha
at 3:53 Who is the camera man? =P Really hillarious, i almost died! Please! make more of this, it totaly make my day. This videos actually motivates me to work so that i can get in at the ambulance school in Norway!
@Cowjenta Good eye! The camera man you see is me. :D I unfortunately did not have my filter with me to remove the glare so there I am. Thank you for watching from Norway. We are thrilled to have fans like you from all over the world. Work hard and follow your goal, I am sure you will be a great medic someday. Watch for more coming soon and as always..
I had to pause it, to control my laughter. The guy sitting behind me, watching TV, came over to watch it the second run through. I had to pause it too much due to laughing. He says "you people (EMS) are sick!". Yes.. Yes, we are.
@uncleremis69 LOL. No, this video was actually shot back in 2000. MAST soon went to Zolls soon after this video was shot. Even still, I used LP 10s for my filming props. I miss the LP10. Gotta love the paddles. Thanks for watching and as always Keep THe Faith
Haha, this makes me want to come work for MAST just to see the entertainment. I love where I work, and our guys are awesome, but I don't see them pulling off stuff like this. Keep it up and stay safe out there !
Hi Scooter ! I'm neither a paramedic or EMT but I always thought it would be a very interesting line of work. Just in response to those 2 comments you made alittle earlier here...you guys and gals who put these together have got class and everyone....everyone who watches you guys think your all very funny! That obvious loser who commented does not know snot and is not worth the time. Admittedly as a Ty1 diabetic I've had my ass saved by medics and just to let you know you guys are all great!
Its amazing that you would say that. it was obviously meant to be funny. out of 10K plus views and several comments, you are the only person to make a neg. comment. Maybe you are just a basic who wishes that they were a medic and just isn't able to pass the test to get into medic school. Have a great day... Jerk off.
It really was badly acted. It was a funny idea don't get me wrong, but they really should have done that better, and at least defribilated himself properly. I really liked the first one, but the rest have really good ideas just need better acting.
While I respect your opinion and appreciate your input, please understand that the people that acted in these videos are not actors. These people that did the acting are among the finest EMTs and Paramedics I have ever had the honor to work with. Many of these skits were filmed because they took the time during their days off to come in and take part in them. These videos were made to help alleviate the extreme stress that can come with this job, and acting was never an issue for me.
Many of these fine people still work for MAST and I am privileged to call them former coworkers and friends. I truly hope that someday you can call yourself an EMT, or maybe even paramedic. Maybe then you will be able to look back on these and understand why those of us that face this every day don't care about whether or not he defibrilated (it's defibrilate, not defribilate) himself correctly, but the ability to make light of a job that can tear a persons soul out.
well if u work in a county like i work in...after about nine a.m. in the morning when the frequent flyers wake up...or a full moon your just about cussing anyone out that talks to you.
At least it wasn't 3:00 in the morning returning a peg tube across town after you just dropped off a full code you worked for 30 minutes so the doc could call it 2 minutes after u put them on the table. That's when u dog cuss dispatch.
This dude has serious funny bone ! Funny ask freakin hell ! The end where he's walking in and hits the floor with the paddles spread out was the icing on the cake !

that was pretty retarded, and that's not how you defribilate yourself.

Yeah, sure, that's not the correct way to defib someone, but honestly, who cares? I mean, aside from people who like to nitpick on Youtube videos...

This is hilarious- I can especially relate to the "rage" of having to do a transfer-- I think we've all cussed like that at dispatch.
